So here is the pic by pic tutorial for my previous glitter tips.
This foil glue stuff is so cool. It works wonders with any type of loose glitter. Another thing I learned from Robin Moses is that any loose pigment will do. So I tested with a few loose eyeshadow pigments that I had, and it works with that too! I feel like my polish collection just grew because I can now use other makeup items on my nails.
I started with two coats of Pure Ice Black Rage, my favorite black creme.
---wait for it to completely dry---
Tape off your tips
Apply foil glue. It comes in a skinny nail polish bottle with a brush & all. It looks almost neon blue when it first goes on. Remove the tape while glue is still wet. Then wait for it to completely dry (just a minute or two) and it turns clear. You know it's ready.
I used a fluffy paintbrush to dip into the glitter then swipe across my tips. I had to go back and forth with a few brushstrokes until it was all covered. Then I tried to make sure there was no left over glitter where I didn't want it to show by lightly brushing with a clean brush.
Applied my topcoat. I did find that it still had a slightly rough/bumpy texture after one coat of topcoat. Two might by better if you're the sort of person that bugs.
Side Note - Robin Moses keeps mentioning about foil glue "cracking" your glitters/pigments once you put a topcoat on. She says to wait for the topcoat to finish drying and it settles back down.... I have no idea what she's talking about. I didn't notice any change to the look of the glitter after I put on topcoat. No change to the pattern, nothing. Other than being super shiny of course. So maybe it's just me, but I sat there with my nails up to my face waiting for something to happen, and nothing ever did. Even when I was playing around with the pigment eyeshadows, nothing ever cracked or changed as far as I could tell.
Foil glue compared to a regular polish bottle. It has a very thin consistency. Very easy to manage!
I'm impressed by just how holo this Inaz Glam Rock glitter is even under indoor light!
