My New Love!

Forget Valentine's Day! I'm currently single and accepting of the fact that at 23 and only having dated 2 potential candidates, I may never marry. But I've still fallen in love! With a nail polish of course. 

I now understand what all the hype is around flakie polishes. I gave up getting Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure due to the $$$ on ebay. I DID however get Nubar 2010 from ebay for a super reasonable $5.45 plus $2.50 shipping. In the photo comparisons I've seen 2010 is a close dupe for Hidden Treasure. So when it came in the mail I couldn't wait to put it to use.

So I tried it out on several different base colors to see what I liked best.

Thumb: ChG First Mate

Index: SH Trouble Maker

Middle: Orly Haute Red

Ring: OPI You Don't Know Jacques

Pinky: Revlon Hot Chocolate

I went with a full mani of ChG First Mate. Take a look:

So I'm in love with this gorgeous polish and it's chamelion layering capabilities. 

The flashes of red, orange, and green seem to glow like embers in a fire. 

Simply stunning.

I also re-shaped my nails to round out the corners a bit.

My nails are getting long enough that the points on square tips where driving me nuts.
