Cult Nails that is! So hopefully you've heard of Maria from R3daily.com who has started her own line of nail polish. Surely every nail blogger's dream is to come up with their own gorgeous colors.... She has four colors out so far: My Kind of Cool-Aid, Iconic, Quench, and Living Water. I bought the first three. I knew I wouldn't get much use out of Living Water because I don't much care for dark vampy colors. At $10/bottle, that's more than I'm normally willing to pay, but to support a fellow blogger I was willing to fork out the change. I am incredibly happy with the three that I did get! Let's look at some pics shall we?
I think the bottles are just adorable, and the font is so sexy/sultry. I love them!
She was even sweet enough to personally autograph them for me like I asked. :)
When I first picked up the bottle it felt a lot smaller than a standard bottle of polish. In comparison, you can see it's just shorter. Same size as all of my other brands, 0.5 oz. You can see that the cap is just more short and squat.
When I started applying the first color, it took some adjustment. The brush is pretty standard, just the part you grip on the cap is wide so I had to get used to it.

This was three coats of My Kind of Cool-Aid, it will probably take only 2 coats in the future. It was just my first time with the fat cap and I was pretty streaky and heavy handed at first.
Description from Cult Nails website:
MY KIND OF COOL AID is a purple/gray, described as "gravender", creme polish with a delicate shimmer. Preppy yet edgy, MKoCA is taking the world by storm. Cult Nails released My Kind of Cool Aid as its very first color January 11, 2011 initiating a following world-wide.

I love Iconic with its flakies! Who doesn't love flakies?! If you don't love flakies, you should be banned from the polish addict community. ;)

Now I for one don't get the hype around "jelly" polishes. Visible nail line makes me cringe. Why would I want to still have any little imperfection on my nail visible underneath my polish. And for it to take 4-5 coats of polish to reach opacity?! That's just ridiculous....
Then I met Quench. I am a convert... I understand now... the lightbulb just went off above my blonde head. This is the most delicious red jelly I have ever & will, no doubt, ever see. I almost wanted to bite my nails in hopes that they would taste like the delicious gummy candy they resembled!
Description from Cult Nails website:
All of these pictures were without any topcoat or basecoat. These amazing polishes have an incredible shine all on their own. I will definitely be buying many more of Maria's creations. These three were great heavenly.
