Elemental Styles - Can I Buy You A Zinc?

Posted by Unknown on Tuesday, March 6, 2012

Hey guys! I have a very trendy post for you today - a post about frankens or "indie" polish brands!

The lovely Whitney from Elemental Styles has joined the ranks of Etsy frankeners, and she sent me two of her creations to review for my readers!

Whitney is a bit of a science nerd, and all her polishes are named after different elements from the periodic table! The polishes are also numbered to reflect the periodic table.
Today I'm going to show you #30 - Can I Buy You A Zinc?

I love the labels on her polishes! I really like how there is a logo on the front and a name on the bottom, like most commercial brands. It makes it feel more finished, if you know what I mean.

Elemental Styles - Can I Buy You A Zinc?
This polish, with its cute name, is a dirty seafoam green holographic polish! Yes, a holo!

I really like the color of this polish, it's a shiny seafoam in the light and then in the shade it is toned down to a more murky, trendy green color.

This was three thin coats for full opacity but you could probably get away with two if you took your time. (I don't often take my time, haha.)

Here's how it looks when you can't see the holo. Still a wearable color, I think!

As with most holos, you should wait a little between coats to prevent dragging.

There you have it! Elemental Styles polishes retail for $7.50 USD each and you can get them in the Elemental Styles Etsy Shop!

Check back tomorrow to see another polish from Whitney, Iron Man-ia!

Product provided for honest review.
