Ombre mani

Morning guys!! Now as some of you may have seen on TV, or fashion magazines, Ombre hair is a pretty big trend now, and I've seen Ombre nails done quit a bit on Makeupalley.com, so I went ahead and tried one as well. I chose to do a Black to White ombre. Ombre, is just going from the lightest of a color to the darkest.

Here are the colors I chose:

Thumb - OPI Alpine Snow Matte w/ SV on top, sorry, I completely forgot to take a pic of it :( I FAIL
Pointer - Dr. REMEDY Heather Grey
Middle - Pure Ice Kiss Me Here
Ring - Franken of Kiss Me Here & Sinful Black on Black.
Pinky - Sinful Black on Black

So what do you guys think? Have you done an Ombre mani? I was actually really loving this mani!!

Another Franken that I heart so much!

I love me some dark colors & hidden shimmers, so I again, tried to create a new polish for me. I'm also trying way hard to save money, so I'm getting desperate, lol.
If only I could remember what I used!!! I am sooo sorry. I meant to take pictures along the way, but things just kept getting added, and it was utter chaos! I made this about a month ago, so my mind, as hard as it tried to remember, failed me :(

A new franken!! Love & Beauty gets a makeover!

I was sitting at my desk at work, and I looked in my drawer to grab my black polish. What did I see.....this really pretty green polish that I got from Forever 21. and had never tried yet. I completely forgot that I had brought it in a while ago, to swatch!! So I did......and OMG, it was awful!!! It was sooo sheer that it looked like mucus, and would have needed about 6 coats to even get close to the bottle color. No thanks!! Well as I was about to throw it out, cause I couldn't even bare to pass it on to anyone, that would just be mean, I decided to add black! Now the bottle was full, and I added 2 drops of black, and shook like mad. That wasn't dark enough for me, and the bottle was already full, so I dumped out about 1/5 of it, and then added about 4-5 more drops of black, and this is what I got. Now since the original polish was sooooooooo thin, it still took 3 coats to get it to this, but the end result was WAY better. I seriously love this green! I just wish I had a pic of what the original color looked like :(

My first Frankening Attempt....

So last night I attempted to franken for my very first time!!! I had alot of fun doing it, and even my hubby loved the results.

This is actually the 2nd franken I made, and my fave!
Here is what I used. Well the 2 on the left didn't get added till later, but you will see...

Here is my 1st franken. I fogot to take a pic of what I used, this is a mixture of a blue & pink medium sized glitters from Funky Fingers, with WnW Black & some of the bad batch of ChG BFF. In this pic you can kind of see the holo from BFF

I can't wait to try this last one in the sun, and maybe I will like it better. This was a lot of fun though, and I can't wait to do more.
