Layla Group Order for Aussies and Layla Spam

Ladies, it’s Layla time again.

Now that the eight new hologram colours are available for purchase from the Layla website, I am arranging another group order for Aussie gals.

I am happy to purchase any nail polishes from the Layla collection; this includes holograms, mirrors, magneffect or ceramics (or anything else that I haven’t tried).

• Mirror Effect cost €12.20 a bottle – not available in Australia
• Hologram Effect cost €11.90 a bottle - Australian retail $22 and new colours not available here yet
• Ceramic Effect cost €7.60 a bottle – not available in Australia
• Magneffect cost €11.90 a bottle - Australian retail $20

Exchange rate will be based on the Paypal exchange rate.  Last time I did it based on the current ‘real’ exchange rate and I was out of pocket about $20 because the paypal exchange rate wasn’t as good.

Domestic postage will be $7.70 for 1-5 bottles (packed in an AustPost padded bag) and $8.35 for 6 or more bottles (packed in a AustPost box) – these are the actual Australia post costs for postage and packaging.

International postage will €15 divided by the number of girls in the order (past orders have been about $2 each).

Please email me your purchase details by midnight Tuesday next week (19 June 2012).  After everyone's orders are in, I will email you back with your exact total.  I will need that total paid within two days, otherwise I will proceed with the order without yours included.

Layla Ceramic Effect 62

Gvein my sipnlelg and gmmaarr aolpgoy yasdetrey, and the cevelr cemomnt form Catkin, I tughhot I wluod gvie tihs a try.  Not jsut uinsg the kownn praaargph, but to see if you ralely can udnstrenad waht I'm wirintg if all the ltteres in the wrods are mexid up, and olny the frsit and lsat ltteer are in the rhgit pclae.

Layla Ceramic Effect 53 Red Flakie

Yeah baby - six out of six awesome polishes that I bought from Layla. Three of those polishes I purchased based on just the bottle photo, and three off just one swatch photo, so I'm so happy they are all totally amazing.

This one is Ceramic Effect number 53 and as you can see, it's a stunning red jelly with red flakies that have a light orange to green colour shift.

This was two coats of 53 over Nail Tek II Foundation and with one coat of Seche Vite top coat.

When I grabbed this bottle out, I was still wearing Layla 64 that I showed yesterday, so I layered one coat over the top of it.  Arrrggggggghhhhhh *wipes drool from mouth* It was so pretty.

As you can see, this flakie polish doesn't hold back in the flakie department.  With just this one coat there were tons of gorgeous red flakies on my nails.

I'm know I'm sounding a bit "wow, look at this amazing polish, its so beautiful" and it seems I'm saying that a lot lately.  But really and truly, if you've followed my blog for a while you will know that if something doesn't live up to my expectations then I will certainly let you know.  So when I say this polish is really very special, know that you will not be disappointed if you get it.

Oh and in case you were wondering (which of course I know you all are, because these dull happenings in my life are so important to other people ;) the heater fixer man fixed the ducted gas heating today.  Oh the warm neutral feeling of 21 degrees has never felt so good.

Layla Ceramic Effect 64

Brrrrrrr it's cold in here....the fan on our ducted gas heater carked it yesterday and the repair man wasn't able to fix it today.  A different repair man will come tomorrow so he better be able to bloody fix the thing.  I can't go for a third night with it getting down to 14 degrees inside.  Stupid freezing Canberra.

So not too much typing tonight or my fingers just might freeze off.

Here is another of the Layla ceramic effect polishes I bought, this is number 64.  It's a purple base with a very strong blue shimmer that makes it the most amazing purple to blue duochrome.  This is two coats over Nail Tek Foundation II, and topped with a layer of Seche Vite.

In the sun it just looks all purple.

But in the shade, like all duo and multichromes, it's simply divine.

If you're wondering what the very distinct line down my nails is that distinguishes the two colours, it's just the eaves of the house.  The blue side was the sky and the purple side was the reflection of the white of the eaves.

Another huge win with this Layla polish. I'm four for four.

Layla - The Butterfly Effect 52

Like I said yesterday, these new Layla polishes jumped straight to the top of my 'must wear now' list.  This is Layla Ceramic Effect polish  number 52, The Butterfly Effect.

As you can see this is a gorgeous purple jelly polish with red shifting to green flakies.  Hello Nfu Oh 51 dupe alert!

Here is lots of photos of this polish, trying to capture the oh so pretty green flash to the flakies.

Some of these photos show the purple jelly looking much darker that it really is, the above photo would be the most accurate for the purple colour.

Here is a bit of the green, it's much easier to see in real life.

Like I said earlier, dupe alert for Nfu Oh 51.  I did a quick swatch comparison with both one and two coats of these polishes.  As you can see they are very similar, the purple jelly shade is exactly the same, it's just that the Layla poilsh is slightly more pigmented.  Which in my opinion is fantastic, because it means you can get it opaque in just two coat, rather than the normal three that Nfu Oh 51 takes.

Again, I got these polishes directly from the Layla Cosmetics website and they cost €7.60.  The bottle size is only 10 ml, although it feels much bigger because it's a tall bottle with a long brush.

I'm three for three with these Layla Ceramic Effects.  I'm wondering if I should have got more than the six I did get!
