Konad M85 + Essence A Lovely Secret & Space Queen

Posted by Unknown on Sunday, March 11, 2012

Good evening everyone! Today I'm going to show you yet another stamping mani with my Konad M85 plate from Nail Polish Canada.

This mani ended up a little crazy but I really liked it at the end!

It started with 2 coats of Essence - A Lovely Secret.
I love these little Essence Colour & Go polishes, they are very inexpensive and the formula is fantastic on all the ones I have. (I wish I had them all. All 99! I'm really trying to find Glisten Up and Pool Party!)

This polish is really cool because not only is the color really nice, there is this cool speckled look to it! And on top of that, pink shimmer. I believe this color is available everywhere Essence is sold right now.

I added a coat of Essence - Space Queen for some iridescent sparkle!

I love the way this sparkles.

Now for the stamping - lots of it!

Tada!
I first stamped using Kleancolor Metallic Pink and Metallic Purple.
But they didn't show up as much as I wanted so I restamped using black.
So, most nails have the same image in purple and then in black, while my accent nail has the full nail image in pink, and then the star in purple and black.
It created a really cool effect I think!

I experienced a but of shrinkage on my middle finger (I believe Space Queen would be the culprit) so I filled it in with the base color, so please excuse that little eyesore, haha.

This full nail image reminds me of a kaleidoscope or something. I bet it would be cool to stamp the same thing several times with different colors over white! I'll add that to my idea list.

See you guys tomorrow with a cool surprise! ;)

Konad M85 + China Glaze Dance Baby & Prism

Posted by Unknown on Monday, March 5, 2012

Whoops! I meant to post this much earlier today but I got a little sidetracked. Better late than never!

Today I'm showing you another manicure using my brand new Konad M85 stamping plate which you can get right here on Nail Polish Canada.
This post is going to have way too many pictures because I loved every stage of this manicure! I'll start with one of the finished product and then after the jump I'll show you a bunch more.

Cute right? I wore this same combo on my fingers and toes because I liked it so much!
Keep reading for more pictures.

This started with 2 coats of China Glaze - Dance Baby, a lovely pink creme from the Electropop collection.
The formula was wonderful and I'm really happy I picked this up. I felt like I didn't need another pink creme but then I saw this on a bunch of blogs and decided, yes, I need another pink creme.

Then for some reason I felt it would be perfect to layer one of the new China Glaze Prismatics over this color, and it came out awesome!
This is one very thin coat of China Glaze - Prism.

This was such a cool effect over the pink, it changed the color of the pink to a more silvery pink, plus the duochrome-look of the glitter gave the entire thing a blue or purple cast depending on the light.
I was staring at my nails all the time!
I also love the sprinkling of multi colored glitter in the Prismatics which gives it that little bit of extra interest.

Stamping time! I added the bubble-looking image from Konad M85. Konad plates are $8.75 on NPC and they always ship free within Canada which is really cool!

I got a bunch of compliments on these nails. "OMG they look like bubbles!"

I stamped using Wet N Wild Black Creme. I think this image would look even cooler if you did "subtle stamping" - using two very similar colors to create the look. Or maybe even stamp it twice using different colors for a sort of 3-D effect!

I was sad to take off this mani after I ruined it at work. But thankfully it is still on my toes!

Keep an eye out for posts involving the other images on this plate later in the week! And don't forget to check out Nail Polish Canada for all your polish needs. (I just spotted a great deal - the Deborah Lippmann Get This Party Started Trio is on sale for $44.95 and ships free within Canada!)

Konad M85 + China Glaze Gothic Lolita

Posted by Unknown on Sunday, March 4, 2012

Good morning all! Today I have a cool review to show you guys.

Nail Polish Canada is now carrying Konad !
They've got plates, special polish, stamper/scraper sets, starter kits, and more! Totally awesome.
The price on the polish is especially nice because some places charge way too much for special polish! And I've recently come to the realization that special polish is totally worth the money.
One more bright side? NPC is shipping all image plates for free within Canada - with no minimum purchase!

I've got like, a million plates (okay, maybe 120,) but I always find myself reaching for the Konad ones. The images themselves are generally nicer and the quality of the plate is always great. It's not hit or miss like other brands.
Konad knows their stuff. And now Nail Polish Canada is selling their stuff. Yay!

Konad recently released two brand new stamping plates and NPC generously offered to send me one for review!
I had a hard time picking between the two - one had full nail images which I love... but the other had a bow... It was truly a tough choice but I went with the full nail plate, M85.

(I'm sure I'll cave and buy M84 as well. There's a bow you guys! I need it!)

I've decided to do four different posts showcasing the cool images from this plate! (Today, tomorrow, and 2 more next week so you don't get bored.)

Today's look begins with a gorgeous purple from the China Glaze Electropop Collection.

China Glaze - Gothic Lolita
You can also get this on Nail Polish Canada here! NPC has seriously become a one-stop-shop for all your polish needs.

Gothic Lolita is a bright medium purple with very subtle shimmer. Photos show the shimmer much more than you can actually see with the naked eye. Shimmer or no shimmer, it's a great color.

Let the stamping begin!

I stamped from Konad M85 with China Glaze Millennium, and added an accent nail of China Glaze Marry A Millionaire.
This image transferred perfectly 8 times in a row to complete both hands, no fussing and no messing it up.

I had some patchy sunlight coming in a window when I took these photos so they didn't turn out the way I hoped, but I think they still show off this awesome image!

I got a ton of compliments on this mani. More than I have in a long time. Konad definitely did good with this image, it's very eye-catching.

Make sure to come back tomorrow, when I will show you another great mani using M85! It might even be better than this one.
And make sure to check out all the great Konad stuff on Nail Polish Canada.
Have a lovely day!
