Zoya Kristen + Zoya Caitlin + NYX Gilded Glitter

Posted by Unknown on Friday, March 2, 2012

March 02, 2012

This is two coats of Zoya Kristen and Zoya Caitlin with no top coat. Then I added one coat of NYX Gilded Glitter. You may notice the Zoya base color changed with the one coat of NYX. I guess the gold tinted base really changed the colors! It made the Zoya polishes look as if they were shades of green. Then added one coat of China Glaze Fast Forward Top Coat. I stamped on the nail design with Ulta Gold Rush and Bundle Monster Stamping Plate BM-214.

NYX Girls - Dreamy Glitter

Posted by Unknown on Thursday, January 5, 2012

I'm still running with the 'iridescent glitter over black' theme here with another polish that has been around for a while.  This is NYX Girls Dreamy Glitter.  It contains small gold glitter, iridescent pink stars, and medium sized iridescent green, shifting to blue hexes.

This is one coat over black, but with carefully picked up stars.  I picked this beauty up at a dollar shop and totally love it.

I've seen some gorgeous swatches of this polish over blue and purple, so I'm definitely going to be wearing it again soon over one of those colours.

Konad using the most AMAZING jelly blue!

Posted by Unknown on Tuesday, December 28, 2010

Once in a while I will place an order with cherryculture.com, for some NYX polishes. Well, every time I'm on their site, I would see Ink Heart, what appeared to be a semi bright blue jelly, and every time I would pass on it. When I made my last order, I decided to just grab it. I mean for the price, it couldn't hurt. Last week my order arrived, and when I saw Ink Heart in person, I was in awe! I couldn't wait  to try it, and it ended up being the first one I used. All I can say is WOW! This was only 2 coats and the application was perfect! I love the fact that it isn't too bright nor to dark, that it appears black. Then I decided to try China Glaze 2NITE for a Konad design on it.

Here is the final mani :P

Here it is all alone, with just 2 coats and a coat of SV

Then the final design

My new NYX pretties!!

Posted by Unknown on Tuesday, September 21, 2010

So my order from Cherry Culter came tonight, YAY, and here is all what came. My daughter insisted on being in the pic, lol

First is Collection Noir. It's a very deep green and gold shimmer

Deep Ocean. It does look very similar to Collection Noir, in the pics, but they are different, trust me, please. This is a very deep plum and gold shimmer.

Chocolate Taupe, love this!

Mushroom GlitterMight be best layered, for this was 3 layers. Plus my application was rushed.

Purple Ave.
So when I posted these flakie pictures last night on MUA, I was told that these look SOOO much better than they did before. Apparantly there seems to have been a change in them. I do love these though, and I'm glad that they did re-do them.

Here is the 2nd 1 I got, Blue Ave.

Sparkling Fire over black. This is a very sparkly red!

Thanks for looking everyone, I will be posting more this afternoon, I'm a little behind again, lol.

Snow White

Posted by Unknown on Sunday, May 24, 2009

Well, that's nice.

It's good to see that even in this economy, the mastermind behind Raven Red still has a job.

On the downside, he may have let his medical insurance slip, because his delusion seems to have escalated. Whereas before I thought he might just have made a simple factual error about ravens, here he is not even pretending to get it right. Snow is white, he is saying to us, yes, I know that. However, I can turn it red through sheer force of will.

Or is he Jedi mind-tricking us? This nail polish is white. Yeah, like that's going to work. This nail polish is white. Some of us have more will-power than a generic cyberthug checking for illicit robots. This nail polish is white.

Anyway, I forgot what I was talking about. But nice nail polish. Lovely shade of white.

Asphalt

Posted by Unknown on Thursday, May 21, 2009

I've heard of streets paved with gold, but please tell me where the asphalt roads look like this:

The Magic Sparkle Cupcake Kingdom? Did a bus full of fairy princesses get T-boned by a troll driving his Hummer (I know what you are thinking, environmentalists, but don't worry--it's powered by wishes) to the Bridge-Dwellers Tenement Union? They try frantically to swerve out of the way, but Peter Pan is hovering outside talking on his cell 'phone. In a tragic Icarian flip-flop, he is just too low for safety. He smashes against the windshield, his body desecrated by a last futile effort of the wipers before the blinded bus smashes into Timmy, the Talking Tree. Tinkerbell floats on in a solitary haze. Tears and fairy dust drift slowly to the ground and settle upon the asphalt.
