*MATTEVELVET (matte velvet) nail color by Zoya is not intended to be worn with a base coat, top coat or speed dryer of any kind. Due to the unique matte formulation, color is not as long-wearing as traditional nail color. A completely clean, dry nail surface yields the best results for matte nail color wear. Toni Maticevski rocks a Zoya Nail Polish blend at fashion week!

Posted by Unknown on Monday, February 16, 2009

Monday, February 16th MBFW Toni Maticevski show - official nail care sponsor Zoya Nail Polish.

With all the buzz generated by Cheryl Crows Grammy gown it's no wonder the Toni Maticevski show was a "must be there" event for those in the fashion crowd. New York's Altman Building housed the Aussies' sixth trip to fashion week where the couture designer's take on fall 2009 was all about fashion fantasy blends... Inspired by the Baroque masters, the mixed fabric textures and unexpected detail combinations (including sequins, metallics, sheers and custom beadwork) along with a unique layered nail polish look gave the show an ethereal feeling. The show's creative director, Dhav Naidu and manicurist Skyy Hadley layered Zoya's Collette over Yasmeen to create the sexy, murky nail color effect.

Zoya watchers spotted Solange Knowles, Carson Kressley, Kithe Brewster (stylist) and Sex and the City's image maker Patricia Fields (maybe the next SATC movie will include Maticevski and Zoya).

Zoya hits the Runway at the Rachel Roy Fall RTW 2009 show

Posted by Unknown on Friday, February 13, 2009

MBFW RTW Fall 2009 collections and Zoya blow into New York (whew - it was really windy)!

Zoya Nail Polish was the nail care sponsor for the Rachel Roy MBFW Fall 2009 Fashion Presentation on February 12th at the incredible IAC building in New York.

Contrasting and complimenting the neutral palette fall/winter styles and structured bobs, the nail color of choice was light - Zoya's Tasha... Otherwise often referred to as the "perfect nude nail polish" by editorial manicurist Jackie Saulsbery.

We spotted Helena Christensen, Veronica Web, Joy Bryant, Olivia Palermo, Phillip Bloch and the one and only Andre Leon Talley all enjoying the show.

See complete coverage of the Rachel Roy presentation by WWD fashion here.
