Republic Nail Glow in the Dark Polish

Posted by Unknown on Thursday, September 29, 2011

Hey ladies! How is everyone? I have a nail post today...feels like it's been a while!

It's a glow in the dark polish. I don't care about the glowing properties so much as the gorgeous pink color! That's definitely the only reason I picked it up. Has anyone heard of the brand Republic Nail? This was my first time seeing it.

So here's the pretty hot pink polish with shimmer.

I had to play around with the exposure while editing this pic to get it to show up...that's why it looks so fuzzy. In person, this polish actually glows orange!

And because pink and black compliment each other perfectly, here is Wet nWild's Tangled in my Web layered on top. This glitter reminds of those little seeds on hot dog buns. haha

Finally, here it is matte. Can you tell much of a difference? It was more evident in person, but not so much in pics!

Which version do you like better?

Day 4 green OPI Zom-body to love

Posted by Unknown on Sunday, September 4, 2011

Day 3 I decided to go with a Halloween polish because I love Halloween!! So there nothing better then Glow in the dark nails! OPI Zom-body to love is part of a duo set along with Black shatter that OPI came out with this year for Halloween. Zom-body to love is pretty sheer and took about 4 coats to get to this It wasn't bad since it dries quick.

4 coats

In the dark
This is definitely  going to be the polish I use for Halloween unless I find a glow in the dark polish that glows blue. Does anyone know of any glow in the dark polishes that glow a different color then green?

Happy Halloween with Sephora by OPI Full Moon

Posted by Unknown on Sunday, October 31, 2010

Happy Halloween everyone! I have a few minutes before I'm off to class so I decided to post my Halloween mani now rather than after class =P

But before I do that here's a swatch of the new Sephora by OPI's Full Moon

Full Moon is an opaque white creme that glows in the dark. This was 3 coats

It is super glowy, which I love :D

And finally here is my Halloween manicure. I decided to just go with Konads since I didn't have time to do some artwork on it :(

I love how it looks when it glows in the dark :)

So that is all I have for today, be safe everyone!!

Happy Halloween!

Posted by Unknown on Saturday, October 31, 2009

Happy Halloween everyone! I hope everyone is out there enjoying themselves. Just going to do a quick post on several Halloween related mani's before I start getting ready to head out to watch the Yankee's game :) I just got home from work, and I am SO happy to be home. On with the nails!

Another one of those "pumpkin nail enamel" that I found at rite- aid. An ashy smokey gray packed with micro multicolored glitters! Flattering but not exciting.

This one was my first try at drawing the ghosts out. Didn't turn out super but I've tried. I was going to draw pumpkin like faces on the orange but I didn't have time. I've used the Orly's Halloween 2009 collection. Black creme = Liquid Vinyl. Orange creme = Orange Punch.

And here shown with Orly GOTH was the mani I stuck with for today's Halloween mani. Black creme packed with micro silver glitters. Reminds me of Dior Black Sequins (which is now rereleased for the holiday 2009 collection avaiable at sephora.com)

OPI Glow-Ink In the Dark - a glow in the dark cornflower blue packed with a few shimmers. (click to see the shimmers) It was quite sheer, this was done in four coats to achieve opacity.

And bam here's the glow!

OPI The Ghostess with the Mostess - a glow in the dark white creme. I used one coat of Rescue Beauty Lounge Underwear as the base and two coats of TGWTM.

And look at the gorgeous glow from this one! This one glows the most! I love it! Very spooky like especially when I went to bed at night and saw 10 nails glowing at me >_>

And then I topped it with China Glaze's Spellbound. A clear base coat mixed with copper, silver, and orange glitters. This one is my favorite of all. I love how it looks :)

And here's the glow with the glitters. Spooky!

I hope everyone have a safe and enjoyable Halloween!
