The Nail Polish Tag

I was tagged by Kirshten to do this new series of questions and thought I'd give it a go! 

The rules are very simple:

1. Answer the 10 questions.

2. Pass this tag to 5 other bloggers.

3. Make sure the bloggers that you tagged, knows that you tagged them, by sending them a comment on their blog.

Now, here are the questions:

1. How many nail polishes do you have? The last count was 399. But since then my cousin has taken about 75 neglected ones to give them a better home. :)
2. What is your favorite brand of nail polish? China Glaze is probably the brand I own the most of. They have such diveristy and uniqueness while still being super affordable! <3 them!
3. Do you like crackle polish, or do you hate it? I wouldn't say I love it, but I don't hate it either. I like that it can give you a simple quick look of nail art without taking a lot of time. I don't use it that often though.
4. What is your first nail polish brand? First ever? I don't even remember.... But the polish that started my obsession was Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Commander in Chic. It's one of those lavender/gray shades that boomed a year ago.
5. If you're going to have a nail polish line, what are you gonna name it? Not planning on having a nail polish line... I just plan on buying other peoples!
6. What nail polish color does not compliment you? I have trouble finding shades of green that work well on me. That's my favorite color though! :(
7. And what color does compliment you? I LOVE blue nail polishes.... that's my weakness because I like how every single one looks against my skin tone. :)
8. Name two of your best nail art friends? Um..... I don't know how to answer this one either, like people? or products? I'll go with people. I've got an exciting collaboration coming up with Cayley from Nevorpurify's Nail Art, so that's a friendship fresh in the making. And Laura's Lacquers will always hold a special place in my heart for her quirky and fun spirit. We've been nail mail pals before. :)
9. What was the best nail polish gift you have ever received? Probably the package Rebecca Likes Nails sent me here. It had the awesome stamping plate that I used to make my Candy Hearts manicure that turned out to be a favorite of mine.
10. Make a speech about thanking the blogger who gave you this tag. Thank you Kirshten for thinking of me for this tag. She has such enthusiasm and talent for nail polish and just a teenager! I hope she keeps it up and becomes even more successful with each passing day. Oh, and be smart and make good decisions in your life!

What's in your Purse?

So I loved seeing the What's in your purse tag and I said what the hell Ill do it too. So here my Purse

Dump your purse, answer the questions, and tag 5 bloggers to find out what's in their purse!

Where did you get your purse, and how long have you had it?
My purse is from H&amp;M and Ive had it for a day lol.. I have somewhat of a bag and wallet addicting too.
What are 3 must-haves in your purse? (Not including keys and wallet)
Chap stick, Agenda book and head phones
What is something you should have in your purse right now, but don't?
Umm. I'm missing my trail mix and Kool-aid mix in packets
What is the thing you have the most of in your purse right now?

So as you can see my purse is really big and packed with a lot. I usually carry my Net Book too so today just happen to be a light day. I change wallets and purses very often and they usually match each other as well as my clothes today I didn't have time to change wallets to a blue one. Here is a closer look at everything in my purse. 

Here is my cosmetic bag that I got in a swap with IrishEnchantment from If it shines its mine 

my stuff is seperated in 2 sides one for nails and the other is or general stuff.

Nail Side: Lush Lemony flutter, cuticle pusher, files, acetone wipes, top coats, base coats and China Glaze kaleidoscope him out.

General side: Face cleanser, Nivea lotion, body spray, Tokidoki mini hair brush and mirror, heel softener and a bunch or chap stick and lip gloss (a Barry M one from Ash-lly) 

Here is my life! My tokidoki planner cant go anywhere without it, My hello kitty notebook where I keep track of my nail mail and swaps, business cards, sticky notes and pens.

Here is a lot of my technology and randomness 

I have 3 sets of keys one for my job and since I'm in process of moving I have 2 sets of house keys. I have a knife because my Hubby makes me carry it since I walk home late. A External hard drive and a usb drive I don't know why I have storage devices lol..

I know many of you have requested video tutorials of my nail art. I would love to get into doing that, but I'm still trying to figure out the best way to go about that. I am terribly slow and methodical, almost OCD, about my art. So any video I would make at this point would be 30 minutes long! Lol. So I'm trying to figure out how I could position myself to allow you the best view....Also how I could film it and then play in fast forward perhaps? I'm still in the planning mode, but this is just to update those of you who have asked. :)

Challenge Tag

I was so happy to get tagged by one of the "big girls!" Lol

Varnish Vixen tagged me to do the challenge of blindly pulling 3 different polishes from my stash and then create a look to make it work. I waited a while because my stash is organized by color... I thought it would be a little like cheating because even with my eyes closed I could reach and pick a specific color. That's how OCD I am.... 

After my Pampered and Polished Party however, all of my polishes were in separate baskets before I put them all back where they belonged. So I jumped at the opportunity to take care of this tag. I dumped all my baskets on the floor and swirled them all around and blindly picked three. 

These are the ones I picked:

Orly Lollipop

Hard Candy Wicked

 I painted the entire nail with Lollipop, then added Just Married in a diagonal covering the top half of the nail. I added a thin line of Wicked to separate the two previous colors. Then I thought it was too plain, so I added dots along the line alternating sides. It ended up reminding me of a mix between that rick-rack ribbon trim, and a zipper! I kinda like it! I think I lucked out with the colors being pretty "safe."

  Final part of the tag is to pass the tag along to 3 other bloggers.

Awards

It's a crazy hectic day, and I haven't been able to do any more cartoons just yet. (No worries, I plan on working on that late tonight, I just don't have any new ones today) I thought I'd do a quick picture from earlier in April that I didn't get to post and then focus on finally getting to some of these blog awards/tags.

This was Essence Metallics Magnetic Polish in Nothing Else Metals. I wore it for this special occasion where my dress was a cool olive/gold/cream colored snakeskin print. It complimented it really well. :)

Then this award I got most recently from Minty: Thanks!

1. I have the most awesome-est apartment ever. I want to live here for as long as I can because I think it's beautiful even after 2+ years of being here. 

2. I hate spaghetti with a passion.

3. I live like I'm a little old maid even though I'm only 24 years old. I'm trying to change this. (Hence, the party last night.) I need to socialize more and widen out in my friendships.

4. I was painfully shy growing up. I would cry when others would even look at me. I spent much of my childhood hiding behind my mother's skirt. There was one man in my religious congregation that I didn't speak to until I was around 14 years old. I was terrified of him, even though I don't really know why...

5. As weird as it is, I'm currently toilet training my cat. I want to get rid of the litter box and Wally is agreeable. And I like the reaction I get from people when I tell them. Lol

6. My favorite color is green, but I can't find a single green nail polish that I like how it looks on me. :(

7. I need a laundry & dishes fairy desperately. Those are the 2 chores I absolutely despise and will let stack up into a small mountain.

8. I'm the baby of the family, and I still have my daddy wrapped around my little finger. ;)

I got a VW New Beetle (new to me) that finally proved this to my sister. Lol

9. At 22 years old I almost made the biggest mistake of my life. I almost married a man who lived 1800 miles away from my family and who told me only half-truths. I still have my wedding dress in the closet to hopefully wear some day. I know that if I had went through with it and married him, I would either be in jail for murder, or residing in a mental health institution. He was very bad for me and I dodged a bullet. Thankfully I can see that clearly now, when I didn't at the time.

10. I love the feeling I have when I've done a great job on my hair, makeup, and outfit. I walk out the front door feeling absolutely beautiful and like I can take on the world. It doesn't matter that there is no one there to tell me, it just matters that I feel it.

10. I love all of you that are followers and that comment on my blog. The first thing I do when I wake up is check my email on my phone while still under the covers. I love having a bunch to read through.
