Sally Hansen Salon Effects in Laced Up

Posted by Unknown on Tuesday, January 4, 2011

I have the new Sally Hansen Salon effects to show today in Laced Up. It was the only one I bought since it was $9.99 at CVS.

It comes with 16 strips and supposedly lasts up to 10 days. I, however, took it off the next day. I'll explain why in a bit. Here's a picture of the box.

And below are the contents inside the box: it comes with instruction sheet, cuticle stick, and a filer

I thought it would be easy to apply on, but it's a bit tricky. At least for me. It was very hard for me to find a perfect size for my nails so I had to cut some, which caused it to be a little uneven.

Below is the finished look:

I love the design and everything. But the problem is that I followed the instructions very carefully. I swiped my nails with polish remover one last time to make sure no residue is left. Yet the bottom part near my cuticles still didn't stick properly causing scratches and hair getting stuck in there (I like running my fingers through my hair a lot lol)

I thought putting a top coat on it would help and I used the cuticle stick to push it down but that still didn't help.

The whole application process took about 7 minutes. With the filing and measuring and cutting etc. I rather apply nail polish and stuff. But I guess it's mostly for the designs.

They had plenty of designs but only this one caught my eye, as I always wanted to do/try lacey nails. Maybe I'll try the real one next time :)

That is all I have for today!
