Zoya Mod Matte Summer 2011

Today I have Zoya's Mod Matte for Summer 2011 to show you. Although I thought I was done with the matte phase, Zoya brought it back with amazing mod colors. Have a look:


Lolly is a bright pink matte with a satin-like finish. 2 coats


Mitzi is a lime semi-neon green matte. 3 coats


Phoebe is a sky blue shimmer matte with a satin-like finish. 2 coats

So I've always had problems with mattes, they always appear uneven for me. I used Nail Tek Foundation II has a basecoat, and waited for it to completely dry before beginning. Maybe it's because I'm using thick coats, I should've tried doing thin coats instead. Aside from the unevenness, I thought the formula was decent for a matte. It was just a bad experience that I should've learn from the past. I guess I just don't have any patience :P

My favorite.. I really cannot choose. I love all three, but I would probably pick Mitzi? Not because I like green but because it's a unique color. Phoebe will have to come in second because the finish is so amazing, though the color not all that unique. Nevertheless, great job on these Zoya!
