Wet N Wild - On The Prowl Collection - Correction Tape & Tangled In My Web

Posted by Unknown on Monday, September 5, 2011

Good evening, ladies!
Remember how I said I would be making a second post after my challenge posts, if I had something exciting to show you?
Well, that applies now!

Lookie what I have! 2 glitters from the Wet N Wild On The Prowl Collection, and a Fantasy Maker!
Both of these collections are limited edition for Halloween.

I was not expecting to ever find any of this. My city usually never has limited edition WnW things, and never before have I seen a Fantasy Maker.
Alas, while killing time today in a drugstore (one of the few things open on Labor Day) I found these displays!
I'm really pleased about it because I know dozens of girls are on the prowl every day for these.

The glitters I got are Correction Tape and Tangled In My Web.
(The Fantasy Maker is called Purple Potion but I haven't swatched that one yet.)

This is one thick coat on a nail wheel. The glitters disperse very nicely!
Tangled In My Web is black hex glitter, while Correction Tape is a bit more complex.

There are blue & gold hex glitters, and black & pink square glitters. I love square glitter.

I decided to layer them both over Orly's Frolic. Just because I love it, and I thought they would pop!

I'll start with the black glitter!

It's very unique and I don't own anything else like it!

This is 2 coats vs. 1 coat. My brush on this one is a bit wonky which makes it harder to get an even coat.

I really love the look this creates! It's almost like crazy polka dots.
I can see this being a popular shade over orange for Halloween! (But you know how I feel about orange...)

Look how different Frolic looks in different lighting!
I enjoy both of these polishes very much :)

I also tried it over Ivanka which is very pretty! But I prefer it over a creme, it stands out more.

Now for my favorite of the two!

This is 2 coats of Correction Tape. I'm not sure what the name correction tape has to do with Halloween. Did they mean caution tape?
Either way, this polish is a win.

One thing I like about these polishes is that the glitters are more even in size, so the whole look is a bit more cohesive than it is with crazy multi-sized glitters.
I really enjoyed the way they look on my nails.

I'm also going to include a swatch over black and blue for my friend Ashley who asked to see these combos.

I like it over the purple the best, though! Haha.

Overall, I'm really pleased I picked these up and I will have fun using them, but not just for Halloween of course!
The glitter disperses well and it gives that fun look you expect from a glitter topcoat.

I hope you guys enjoyed these swatches, and good luck finding them, wherever you are!
Goodnight!
