happy birthday to rebecca likes nails!

Posted by Unknown on Monday, January 16, 2012

Hey everyone! I can't believe it but today is my blog's birthday. My blog is one year old!
(Coincidentally this is also my 400th post! Wow!)

It doesn't feel like I've been doing this for a whole year. Time flies when you're having fun I guess!

Thank you to each and every one of you who reads my blog, you're what has kept me going throughout this year! Some of you have been along for the whole ride and some of you may have just found me today - and you all mean the world to me.
This blog has brought me some of the best friends you could imagine, and I'm so thankful.

So for my blog's birthday, I thought it only right to post the following polish:

Deborah Lippmann - Happy Birthday
I lusted after this polish for a long time but never thought I would actually get it. I knew I wouldn't buy it for myself and didn't think I had anyone else willing to spend $18 on a polish for my birthday.
...Along comes Kayla Shevonne. She gave me this for my birthday in September (hence why it is pictured with cute 21 confetti) and I actually teared up a little! (Yeah I'm a sap.)
If it wasn't for our blogs, Kayla and I probably would never have met (and we live in the same city, you know!) Which is another reason to be thankful for my blog.

I wasn't able to wear this on my actual birthday because it didn't arrive in time (stupid Canada Post!) so it's only right to wear it on my blog's birthday. (And on my next birthday and probably several birthdays after that.)

I'm sure you've seen this 10,000 times so I don't need to describe to you what this is.
There are now many similar polishes on the market and I own a few, but since applying this one, I really think the original is the definite best.
This is one coat over China Glaze Light As Air.

I just love it. Thank you so much Kayla!

Thank you everyone for a year of polish, a year of encouragement, a year of comments, a year of pleasant emails, a year of "likes," a year of enjoyment and most importantly a year of friendship.

Now, what's a birthday without a gift? Come back later today to celebrate with me and see what I've got up my sleeve...

Happy Birthday, Rebecca Likes Nails!
