Zoya Nail Polish and Purple Day Launch Party

Zoya Nail Polish Supports Purple Day - TODAY!

Musicians, models, doctors, divas, writers and rockers joined ten-year-old Cassidy Megan at the Purple Day USA launch party for epilepsy awareness at Dylan's Candy Bar in NYC on March 10th.

Dave Letterman’s musical sidekick Paul Shaffer turned the volume up when he accepted an award for his commitment to epilepsy advocacy- a purple ceramic brain - wowing guests by breaking into a spontaneous Prince inspired song of Purple 'Brain'. Maxim magazine's top ten "hottie" model Jaime Paetz wore a sumptuous purple gown designed by Project Runway winner Leanne Marshall and Zoya Nail Polish in Harmonie. Jaime Paetz, who herself has epilepsy, flew in from LA to be part of the launch. "I have never let my epilepsy stop me from achieving my dreams", she said to a standing room only crowd.

The New York-based Anita Kaufmann Foundation, dedicated to educating the public not to fear epilepsy, sponsored the kickoff event showering 120 guests with everything purple from purple nail polish (Zoya in Harmonie) to purple cupcakes, to a purple chocolate fountain to a purple passion drink created exclusively for Cassidy’s initiative.

Motivated by her own struggles with epilepsy, Cassidy created Purple Day last year to let kids know they are not alone and to educate the public. She designated March 26th as Purple Day--named after the internationally recognized color for epilepsy: lavender. Epilepsy affects 3 million Americans (1 in 100 people) With the help of the Anita Kaufmann Foundation, Purple Day is going global this year with one little girl’s dream, inspiring children, parents, business leaders, politicians and communities across the globe.
