All That Glitters Spotty Dotty Light

Posted by Unknown on Wednesday, March 21, 2012

March 21, 2012

This is two coats of Man Glaze Matte is Murder, which I got in a swap from the lovely Michelle from Things I love at the Moment!  This polish is such an amazing black matte polish that has a slight silver shimmer.

Then I added two coats of All That Glitter's Spotty Dotty Light. This polish is so fun, and the combinations are endless! I also bought the spotty dotty dark which is a black version. She also has a red and gold version! The glitter was easy to get out of the bottle, so no fishing required!!!!!  (with Spotty Dotty on top you can really see the shimmer of Man Glaze Murder is Matte!!!!)

You can visit Kirsten at her etsy shop or her Facebook page!

Two days later, I added two coats of Essie Matte About You! I absolutely adore it matte!!!! What do you think about it?

Then I added some pink teddy bears and paw prints. These are the rub on nail stickers!

All That Glitters Review

March 05, 2012

Today I have four polishes from All That Glitters on Etsy!

This is two coats of Glitter Gal Red Sparkle and onc coat of All That Glitters Valentine Massacre. Photos show one coat of top coat. I really do love this polish. It is a little sheer on its own, so a base color is recommended. It has a red jelly base with black and red glitters in various shapes and sizes. It was a little thick, but perfect for layering. This polish is amazing over red---I LOVE IT! It is so fierce! =)

Next up is All That Glitters Cha Cha Twist. At first I tried it by itself! This is two coats with one coat of top coat. It is sheer by itself but not as sheer as the photo shows. For some reason, my flash makes polishes look more sheer then they are. But I do recommend using a base coat for this polish. Application was great!

Here is what the polish looks like layered over two coats of Zoya Skylar!!!! (Apparently, I forgot to put a second coat on my ring finger... oops!)...  I added one coat of All That Glitters Cha Cha Twist! This polish is sooooo pretty! Cha Cha Twist has a light blue base with aqua, blue, black and red glitters in various colors, shapes, and sizes. It is really pretty and application was easy!

Next up is All That Glitters Frantic Romantic, and I LOVE IT! I wish you could see this polish in person! I started with two coats of China Glaze FYI (because this is a layering polish).

Then I added two coats of All That Glitters Frantic Romantic and one coat of top coat. It has a sheer pink base with holo purple and pink glitters in various colors, shapes, and sizes - including hearts!

Next up is All That Glitters Heartbeat City, which isn't currently stocked in her shop. I started with two coats of Zoya Kennedy, which I HATE this Zoya polish! This pink does not compliment my skin tone at all... Oh well, it was a good base coat for Heartbeat City. I just wish my photos showed the true beauty of Heartbeat City!

The photo below show one coat of Heartbeat City with one coat of top coat! It is really pretty and application was easy! My photos do not do this polish justice. (For some reason, all my photos of this polish were blurry).

These polishes were sent for review, but did not effect my opinion. They retail for $8 and can be purchased here.

Pretty and Polished Elvis' Pink Cadillac

Posted by Unknown on Tuesday, February 14, 2012

February 14, 2012

This is two coats of Pretty and Polished Elvis' Pink Cadillac. Chelsea is currently sold out of this polish, but it should be back in stock by the end of next week (hopefully)! This polish is a pink jelly polish with small and medium size black glitter.

Then I stamped on a large butterfly with Kleancolor Black and Konad Stamping Plate M25.

Update: Someone on Facebook had a really good question, so I thought I would update my blog post to answer it. She was wondering why my manicure showed none of the larger black hex glitters that are also in the polish. (I assume it was because she was wondering if the larger pieces were difficult to get out of the bottle).

Answer:  I purposely tried not to get the bigger hex glitters because I didn't want it to mask my butterfly stamp... I wanted the lines of the butterfly to be crisp (as the stamp had "a lot" of small detail if that makes sense), and I didn't want the larger pieces to block the lines of the butterfly from underneath or take away from the butterfly. Try and do a google search on the polish name, and see if other bloggers had opinions on whether or not the bigger pieces of black glitter were easy to "fish" out of the bottle. I hope this helps! I have seen many of my polish friends wear this polish, and I have NOT heard anyone say that the bigger black pieces are hard to get out.

Lacquistry Celery Stew

February 13, 2012

How exciting... Amanda from Amandalandish went on vacation and asked me to be a guest blogger for her today. If you have a chance, check out her blog!!!!!

This is two coats of Lacquistry Celery Stew with no top coat. Not a traditional Valentine's Day color, but......I think it turned out nicely....

Then I added one coat of Lynnderella The Glittering Crowd. I did not add any top coat because I knew I would be adding some rub on nail art stickers. These type of decals do not like to stick to slick surfaces. I purchased these super cute decals from EzNail. I love these --so fast and easy!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Pretty and Polished Power House

Posted by Unknown on Sunday, January 29, 2012

January 29, 2012

This is two coats of Pretty and Polished Power House. This polish is so pretty, and it is my kind of polish. It is the perfect jelly sandwich without all the layering... Application was flawless and the glitter pieces came out of the bottle so easily and in the perfect amount!

You can visit Chelsea's Etsy shop here
You can visit her at her blog.
You can visit Chelsea on her Facebook page too!

Then I stamped on some roses (which I could not photograph very well. They look blurry in the photo but that is because of the reflection of the top coat) with Kleancolor metallic purple and Konad Stamping Plate M65.
