It's always a thrill to be featured in the world's top magazine focusing on beauty - Allure (the beauty expert)! So obviously the entire Zoya office was smiling from ear to ear after noticing that we had been mentioned in an online Allure article titled "Designer Faces: The Hair and Makeup At The Fall 2011 Marc Jacobs Show" by Angelique Serrano. Zoya Nail Polish: Custom Blend of Zoya Hues and tipped with Zoya Indigo The designers at Preen looked to the Haven for Zoya Nail Polish team to manicure models nails in custom blend of two Zoya hues tipped with the stunning blue, Zoya Indigo which complimented the shows looks.
Each nail was cleaned and prepped with Zoya Remove + from the Zoya Color Lock System, prior to applying a base coat of Zoya Anchor, two coats of the custom taupe blend and then tipped with one coat of Zoya Indigo and an ultra glossy top coat of Zoya Armor. Everything dried quickly with a few drops of Zoya Fast Drops.

Zoya Nail Polish: Zoya in Lulu
There really is nothing else even close to the Marc Jacobs show during fashion week in New York (NYFW). And Zoya Nail Polish was proud to sponsor manicurist Elisa Ferri for the biggest show of 'em all!
Backstage was hectic and happy as sixty three (yes 63) models, manicurists (led by Elisa Ferri for
Zoya), makeup artists(led by François Nars - shown below), hair stylists (led by Guido Paul), brand representatives and media coexisted in an energized space. One feels honored to be there after going through the extra tight security to get in. It's a special club and everyone who makes it in knows it!
The production of this seasons Marc Jacobs show was even spotlighted in the
New York Times in a piece detailing just how much ($) really went into creating a spectacle of this kind. Having been there and actually getting the chance to speak with
Guy Trebay of the New York Times as he interviewed for the piece was an amazing experience for this media gal! It's a must read for fashion and beauty world fans.
Manicurist Elisa Ferri (shown above right with Zoya Media Representative Erin Giddings) on behalf of Zoya Nail Polish described the Marc Jacobs woman as a "21st century lady who lunches". Elisa polished to nails to perfection in the color Lulu by Zoya Nail Polish. And when talking about this show it wouldn't be fair not to mention the incredible food! Yep, mini sliders included. It was the best backstage crew chow EVER.
To make the day extra sweet, the Zoya team handed out special Valentines Day Gifts of color backstage.
The show itself was a bit of stylish madness. With padded white vinyl columns lining the mirrored runway and clothes that echoed a day gone by with Jacobs characteristic whimsy and mystery thrown
in. Including giant sequins and vinyl... And what at first glance seems demure and then - what?- it's see thru! Marvelous!!!
The all star Marc Jacobs fan crowd included Fergie, Whoppi Goldberg, Martha Stewart, Sofia Coppola and Vanessa Hudgens.

Zoya Nail Polish: Zoya in Laurie A nod to the elegance and refinement of the Forties kissed with a bit of Seventies Glam best describes the Fall 2011 Marc by Marc Jacobs Collection during NYFW. Models sported simple makeup, neutral nails and flowing locks. Perfectly pulled together - so very pretty. Top manicurist Elisa Ferri for Zoya kept it simple with a single coat of Zoya Laurie and a gloss topcoat of Zoya Armor.
Polka dots (and variations of them), animal prints, collar details, skinny belts, statement handbags, big bold sunglasses and luxury fabrics - Love it!

Simplicity and elegance rocked the
Elene Cassis runway! Elene Cassis looked to the Nail Taxi for Zoya team to manicure models nails in the incredible Zoya Laney, Harley, Divincia and Snowsicle which complimented the shows looks.
Each nail was cleaned and prepped with Zoya Remove + from the Zoya Color Lock System, prior to applying a base coat of Zoya Anchor, two coats of Laney, Harley, Divincia or Snowsicle and an ultra glossy top coat of Zoya Armor. Everything dried quickly with a few drops of Zoya Hurry Up by Cinnamon Bowser and her super Nail Taxi for Zoya team.
Danielle Staub (formerly of Bravo's The Real Housewives of New Jersey) was a very proud Mother of the featured model Christine Staub who walked the runway with the designer for the final bow!

Volcanic, explosive obsidian chic, Designer Alexandre Herchovitch looked to the Haven for Zoya Nail Polish team to manicure models nails in the glossy, deep Zoya Kelly which complimented the shows looks.
Each nail was cleaned and prepped with Zoya Remove + from the Zoya Color Lock System, prior to applying a base coat of Zoya Anchor, two coats of Zoya Kelly topped off with an ultra glossy top coat of Zoya Armor. Everything dried quickly with a few drops of Zoya Fast Drops.

The Guishem mixed graphic novel heroines with high fashion. Designer Guillermo Jop looked to the Nail Taxi for Zoya Nail Polish team to manicure models nails in the glossy, deep Zoya Lael and with a touch of Zoya Goldie which complimented the shows look.
Each nail was cleaned and prepped with Zoya Remove + from the Zoya Color Lock System, prior to applying a base coat of Zoya Anchor, two coats of Lael and the looks was completed with one nail on each hand painted in Zoya Goldie topped off with an ultra glossy top coat of Zoya Armor. Everything dried quickly with a few drops of Zoya Fast Drops.

Max Osterweis and Erin Beatty of Suno always see things in a very unique way. Looking to the past for a modern inspiration this season (Auntie and Grandma prints)... Zoya Angelina provided the perfect bold expression they desired for models nails with it's deep, dark brown black. Led by manicurist Sunshine Outing, the Zoya team added a extra sparkle to the backstage environment as always.

The Tory Burch show was subtle style for the woman of today! Tory Burch looked to the Zoya Nail Team lead by Sunshine Outing to manicure models nails in the caramel nude, Zoya Helen which complimented the shows looks.
Lead manicurist Sunshine Outing worked personally with Tory Burch to make the color selection. On a side note - Tory loved the Zoya Color Spoons so much she posted them on her Tory Burch twitter account and Zoya sent her a set of her own to have at the ready whenever needed.
