Nails at the GLAAD Awards 2010

Drew Barrymore and Dianna Agron looked stunning at the GLAAD Awards this past weekend. Drew wore an Oscar de la Renta dress and decided to keep her nails bare.  Her dress was gorgeous and an equally gorgeous nail color like Zoya Garbo or Zoya Marcella would have fitted perfectly.

Dianna Agron wore a show-stopping red dress by  Temperley London and paired it with a blue polish that is very similiar to Zoya Jo.

Leanne Marshall the designer has arrived. Moving from typography as inspiration last season to topography (maps) this season the looks shown at the 2010 Fall Leanne Marshall show reflected the designers personality perfectly. Leanne's work has greatly matured since winning Bravo's Project Runway in 2008, now unafraid to be true to her own fragile nature, Marshall created a romantic vision for Fall 2010. The collection was true to her roots - yes, the layers are still there but now they are less structured and everywhere from coats to evening wear.

Manicurist Jackie Saulsbery prepped each set of nails using Zoya Remove + and a basecoat of Anchor prior to polishing and finished with an ultra glossy topcoat of Armor.

Enjoying cupcakes and cocktails we noticed Project Runway contestants Wesley Nault, Jennifer Diederich, Korto Momolu, Jay McCarroll, Ben Chmura, Maya Luz, Suede, and Jonathan Peters, fashion editors and models, including model Summer Rayne Oakes in attendance.

"Let's start with my obvious fave - Harley. Harley is a warm mid-tone gray shimmer. The light bronze ribbons of shimmer keep this one from being too cool for the olive skinned girls to pull off. If you haven't tried gray yet, this is one you'll definitely fall for."

"Cassi is a salmon pink shimmer. A nice warm pink for conservative girls and pink fans alike. Two coats gave nice, even coverage."

"Barbie looks exactly as the name implies, Malibu Barbie pink. It totally reminds me of the pink Barbie convertible I had as a child. Vibrant and cool-toned, there is a subtle hint of shimmer in the bottle but on the nail it's barely apparent."

"Jo is the other big winner in Twist. A total jackpot of a blue. I'd dare to call it cornflower but the subtle way it leans towards purple keeps me from doing so. Whatever you call it, it's unique, stunning and totally unlike any polish I own. Like Gabriel Byrne said to Winona Ryder (as Jo) at the end of Little Women, "such a little name for such a person," Zoya's Jo is such a color."

"Overall, this is a strong collection. Three feminine colors for the traditionalists and three unique colors for the hardcore nail people like us. I am quite pleased at that trade-off. Normally spring collections are very blah for me, but this one is different. I can foresee Harley being a big favorite with everyone. I'm already wearing Jo and I can't stop looking at my fingers.The formula on these is top notch. All of them were the perfect texture and didn't even hint at giving me a problem. They were all smooth and perfect without having that gooey, drippy three-free texture. No issues in the formula department."
