Zoya Nail Polish- NYFW Fall 2010 recap: Susan Cianciolo

Posted by Unknown on Monday, March 1, 2010

Fashion Designer: Susan Cianciolo
Show Date: Wednesday, 2/17/10- 4:30PM
Location: White Box Gallery
Zoya Nail Polish - Official Nail Care Sponsor of the Susan Cianciolo Fall 2010 Show.

Combining art and fashion in a gallery presentation, Susan Cianciolo's Fall 2010 collection was more of a performance piece than the usual standing model presentation. The show Underneath the, Sea Inside a Mountain used the artistry of clothes, makeup and nail design to transport viewers to a place where they could frolic through the fields with Julie Andrews or if they so pleased, swim the seas with Ariel. Flower Children and Mermaids in an explosion of hand crafted colors and patterns all under the flashes of an artfully placed group of Japanese paparazzi. A performance indeed!

A Parson's classmate of Mark Badgley and James Mischka, Cianciolo is no lesser a designer just a more avant garde talent. Cianciolo's custom made garments can be ordered via her website, susancioniolo.com

Happy to have over 300 fashion colors to choose from to create her part of the vision, Manicurist Jackie Salsbery prepped each nail with Zoya Remove+ and Zoya Anchor basecoat and then polished the nails in a rainbow of colors including Zoya Veruschka, Zoya Gia, Zoya Ibiza, and Zoya OC Cooler and finished each look with Zoya Armor topcoat.

Zoya MatteVelvets for Winter: ALU Review

Posted by Unknown on Tuesday, October 27, 2009

The Zoya Winter MatteVelvets Veruschka, Savita and Harlow make a star appearance on All Lacquered Up (ALU) today. This Matte Nail Polish formula is like no other.

"Veruschka is obviously my fave in this collection. Like an evergreen tree she is a shimmering goddess of the forest. There's something about the shimmer in the Zoya mattes that give them a "lit from within" look that doesn't translate on camera. Very magical."

Zoya Harlow, Savita and Veruschka shine even though they are mattes

Posted by Unknown on Tuesday, October 20, 2009

Zoya's latest collection of mattes - Zoya MatteVelvet Winter Collection (Savita, Harlow and Veruschka) - is a winner. They are shipping and they are gorgeous. Even if we do say so ourselves...

Note: vampy's comment that the green Veruschka is not as matte was due to an early sample batch. The shipping formulation has been adjusted and it's as matte as the rest now.

"Clearly Zoya gets an A+ on this collection from me. These are the most interesting matte colors I have seen yet and I will be wearing all of them both with and without a top coat a lot this season I suspect."
