I'm confused. The reference picture that I used for Little Miss Naughty looks one way, and then I'm looking back to the Roger Hargreaves website to verify them before I post it, and there is a totally different Little Miss Naughty?! So what the heck? Maybe there were two versions. I just don't know. Here we go anyway:
This base color is Sally Hansen Insta Dri Silver Sweep, foil glue, then
Inaz Glam Rock 3D Holographic Glitter.
Black acrylic paint for the general shape.
Blurple colored paint to fill in the face area.
Black acrylic paint for features and hairline.
Pink for hair and purple for nose.
Green for the hair bow, then refine the hair outlines and add the squiggles.

And here he is... What do you think? The reference picture I used showed his eyes being different sizes, so don't correct me on that! ;)

Black acrylic paint for the general shape.
Fill in with pink. This time I used nail polish rather than my usual acrylic paint, I didn't want to spend time mixing like a fool when I had a perfect polish that matched already. (Same as Little Miss Chatterbox)
Black acrylic paint for features.
White paint for shoes, green paint for hat.
Black paint for the outline of the blue portions on his shoes.
Blue touches to his shoes and then topcoat when dry.
I'm not too thrilled with him either, I just don't know what it is about him...

Again I only focused on a portion of the face for a change of pace. I'm not too thrilled with how she turned out though. I just can't put my finger on it.

Next up is Mr. Slow. I love his sexy 'stache. Mustache that is. ;) The ladies love a good handlebar mustache. Lol

Mustardy yellow acrylic paint to fill in almost all the way to the edge.
Black acrylic paint for features and the hat.
Hat color and mustache color are both acrylic paints.
Yellow paint for the nose and then topcoat when dry.

Come on .... he's just a smiley face. Super duper easy!
This base color is Sally Hansen Insta Dri Silver Sweep, foil glue, then
Inaz Glam Rock 3D Holographic Glitter.
Black acrylic paint circle.
Fill in that black circle with yellow acrylic paint almost all the way to the edge, but leave a little gap to serve as the outline.
Black acrylic paint for features.
Topcoat and done!

Next up in this series is Mr. Rush. There were very few steps involved with painting him. Any of you can do it.
This base color is Sally Hansen Insta Dri Silver Sweep, foil glue, then
Inaz Glam Rock 3D Holographic Glitter.
Black acrylic paint for the general shape.
"Blurple" acrylic paint to fill in. Go almost all the way to the edge of the black, but leave a small outline showing. I find this easier than outlining with black at the very end. This allows for more control and a skinnier outline.
Black acrylic paint for the features.
Add yellow acrylic paint for his hat and then topcoat when it's all dry!
Try it out and show me!

A very popular character from the "Little Miss" books. Here is an easy way to paint her on your nails!
Sometimes it can be very difficult to fit an entire character on one nail. If you have smaller nail beds, or maybe you just find it easier to paint on a larger scale.... that's ok! Just pick a portion of the character to use. "Zoom in" so to speak and just focus on that part for your nail art.
This base color is Sally Hansen Insta Dri Silver Sweep, foil glue, then
Inaz Glam Rock 3D Holographic Glitter.
Black acrylic paint for the general shape.
Mustardy yellow acrylic paint for the face color.
Add some black acrylic paint details to the facial features and the outline for the hair bow.
Add in the mustard/orange hair color. (acrylic paint)
Last few details added and topcoat.

I recently painted a series of nail art based on the characters from the
"Mr. Men" and "Little Miss" children's books. I hope you remember these like I did. :) They are simple characters that are very easy to paint. Perhaps this series can show those of you new to nail art how to break it down into steps.
