Really Ugly French Tips

Posted by Unknown on Friday, January 20, 2012

So, I think the title says it all. These are some really really awful french tips I did. I hate them so much that I almost didn't post them, but I feel strongly that I should post all my nails so that you can see my success and my failures. These ended up looking kind of like dice, which I was totally not going for... Oh well, can't win 'em all!

What's your least favorite nails you've ever painted?

Lotus

Posted by Unknown on Friday, December 30, 2011

When I started painting these, I was trying to mirror my engagement ring which has a long oval in the middle and two side-ways ovals framing it. The design turned out looking more like abstract lotus flowers to me, which is awesome! This was one of those really simple designs that I ended up loving! Plus it was super simple to do. I have a feeling I'll be doing this design again!

So I got really tempted to title this post "Robin Moses' balls" and then I giggled like a ten year old for about 15 minutes. Yes, I am that immature sometimes. This cute ball design was inspired by Robin Moses, one of the all time best nail artists ever. If you have not seen her work before then GET OFF MY BLOG and go find her! I'll even make it easy for you, just click right here. Do it. Now.

Happy Valentines Day and Happy Chinese New Year!!

Posted by Unknown on Sunday, February 14, 2010

Hey guys! I'm so busy with Chinese New Year and stuff that I don't even have any time to get on the computer. But I finally have at least 20 minutes to spare right now. And I did have time to do a Valentines Day mani and a Chinese New Year theme mani. I also didn't get to read other blogs to see others Valentines Day manicures! I'll be doing that late at night!

I hope everyone enjoys their Valentines Day whether you're taken or single! Eat a lot of chocolates!

My Valentines Day mani consists of:

-OPI Bubble Bath as base

-OPI Time-less is More as tips

-Color Club Limited Edition Pink Glitter

-Claire's Love Struck for the hearts

-And I used a thin brush to apply the silver glitter line

My Chinese New Year mani consists of:

-Nubar Orange Creme as base

-Color Club Limited Edition Pink Glitter

-Konad tiger stripes

-Essie matte about you

This was inspired by Asami! It's year of the tiger for 2010. However, I'm not very good doing free hand designs so I cheated with the konads! I also didn't let it dry enough before applying the matte top coat hence the smudges >_>

Well that's all I have for you guys today! I hope everyone enjoys their day!

An American Manicure

Posted by Unknown on Monday, April 6, 2009

So I've decided to go for something more professional and natural looking. What's more natural than an American manicure? I decided to follow the polish addict with her choices of nail polish for an American manicure. I've used Essie's Mademoiselle, Marshmallow as tips, and Pink Glove Service.

I followed the polish addict by doing a base coat, and applied one coat of Mademoiselle, and two layers of Marshmallow on the tips. I did it free hand. And then I applied one coat of Pink Glove Service as the top coat.

I was pretty happy with the results. And many people complimented me on my "natural look" instead of having all these weird colors they've never seen before.
