Nicole by OPI Kardashian Kolor CVS Exclusives

Posted by Unknown on Friday, May 4, 2012

Hello all! Today I have more Kardashian Kolor's to share with you guys. These are CVS exclusives. Yes I know we are all sick and tired of hearing Kardashians all over the place, but what can we do? Seems like the star news are obsessed with them. But, since this is nail polish, I'll give them a break lol

Smile for the Glam-era is a dark plum with gold shimmers. 2 coats

Back to Reality...TV is a gorgeous medium purple with flashes of pink. 2 coats

One Big Happy Fame-ily is a light purple with silver flecks. 2 coats

Our Fuchsia's Lookin' Bright is a fuchsia creme. 2 coats

Ladies in the Limelight is a bright yellow creme. 2 coats. Probably my favorite of the bunch.

Paparazzi Don't Preach is a peach creme. 2 coats

Strike a Pose is a super bright red orange creme. 2 coats.

Not many unique colors from this collection, but my favorite is Ladies in the Limelight and One Big Happy Fame-ily. Those two happens to be the most unique of the bunch. Other than decent colors, the formula for these were excellent. It wasn't streaky, especially the light colors. It all applied very smoothly and mostly needed 2 coats for opacity.

These should be available at most CVS stores. I haven't seen it around yet, but I'm sure it was sold out by the time I actually went to look. What do you guys think of this collection?

(These were sent to me for review)

MAC Festive Finery and Unconditionally Fabulous

Posted by Unknown on Thursday, December 29, 2011

While browsing through my pictures, I realized these two were never posted when it should've been posted in the beginning of the month! MAC Festive Finery and Unconditionally Fabulous came from the Glitter & Ice collection. Aside from a lipstick, these two polishes were the only items purchased from the collection.

Festive Finery is a plum brown creme. 2 coats. This color is very hard to describe, it's kind of a dusty like purple, with a mix of taupe and gray.

Unconditionally Fabulous is a round holo glitter in a clear base. In the picture I did it over Festive Finery. I heard this is very similar to Deborah Lippmann's Stairway to Heaven, and China Glaze Snow Globe, I wouldn't know because I don't own any of the two (yet!).

The formula for these were pretty good. Festive Finery applied very evenly and smooth. I remember I used to dislike MAC polishes because the formula was so streaky, I am happy they have improved! The only downside to these is that they retail for $16 per bottle, and they are still available today at the MAC website.

What do you guys think of these two?

OPI The Muppets Collection Swatches & Review

Posted by Unknown on Monday, November 21, 2011

Hi all! Sorry that I took a mini break from posting. But I'm back and have plenty of posts to share with you guys! Today I have OPI's The Muppets Collection. I have a confession, when I was about 3 or 4, I used to terrified of Miss Piggy. It just irked me that she talked and she had those huge eyes. Silly I know but I was young! Haha. This collection consists of 6 glitters and 6 shimmers.

Rainbow Connection is a multicolored glitter with clear base. This was four coats. It's a mix of large hex glitters and small round glitters.

Excuse Moi! is a pink glitter with silver hex glitters. It has a sheer pink base. 3 coats. This was the most opaque glitter of the collection.

Gone Gonzo! is a icey blue glitter with silver hex glitters in a clear base. 3 coats.

Gettin' Miss Piggy with It is a golden red glitter with silver hex glitters in a clear base. 3 coats

Divine Swine is a purple glitter with silver hex glitters in clear base. 3 coats

Fresh Frog of Bel Air is a green glitter with silver hex glitters in a clear base. 3 coats.

Animal-istic is a bright red shimmer. 2 coats

Meep-Meep-Meep is a fuchsia shimmer. 2 coats

Wocka Wocka! is a wine red shimmer. 2 coats

Warm & Fozzie is mix of brown, green, and gold shimmer. A very interesting color. 2 coats

Designer..de Better is a silvery pink metallic. 2 coats. What's interesting about this one is, if you look super closely, you can see pink specks on it!

Pepe's Purple Passion is a plum purple with pinkish flakes. 2 coats. They're not exactly flakies, but they're like bits of non-shiny glitter inside the polish that makes it look interesting. It's quite hard to describe.

The formula for these were pretty good. I just wished the glitters were more opaque. Maybe they're more meant for top coats, but I prefer to wear glitters alone, that's just me. As for the shimmers, I also wished it was a variety of colors instead of just red tones.

Overall, the collection isn't too bad. Quite an interesting collection. My favorites are Rainbow Connection, Excuse Moi!, and Designer...de Better.

That's all I have for today! What do you guys think of the Muppets collection?

Essie Winter Collection 2010

Posted by Unknown on Saturday, December 11, 2010

Greetings! Today I have for you the new Essie Winter Collection which consists of six colors for the Winter.

I don't know about anyone else, but I hate winter lol simply because I cannot stand the cold. I wish it was summer already. One thing I like about winter are the colors that are coming out with the nail polishes collection. During summer it was all bright and pastels, and winter it is all dark.

All pictures were taken under artificial light. It is hard for me to take pictures in sunlight now because there's barely any sun out :(

Going Incognito - a dark teal green creme

Smokin' Hot - is a gray purple creme. I don't know how to describe this color because it's a mix of purple and gray and brown

Hot Coco - is a medium brown creme. This was taken under natural light

Silken Cord - a bright red creme

Masquerade Belle - a vampy maroon creme. A little jelly finish.

Luxedo - a blackened plum purple creme. Looks almost black but with great lights, the plum shows

Application was of course flawless. No problems or issues whatsoever. That's what I love about Essie nail polishes. All were under two coats, it was pretty opaque and highly pigmented.

Did any of you pick up this collection? What's your favorites? My only favorites were Going Incognito and Smokin' Hot. Those two were the only colors that seem unique and different to me.

And that's all I have for today :)

Essie The Art of Spring 2010

Posted by Unknown on Tuesday, May 4, 2010

Hello! First let me say that I am beyond shocked at how many entries I have for my giveaway. I honestly did not expect that many, nor did I expect to attract many new followers too. Thank you to everyone that is participating. And for those that sent me e-mails of your cute pictures, I wanna let you guys know that I will be responding to every single one of your e-mails. I've looked through a few and some of you have such ADORABLE pets. Some of you even e-mailed me pictures of your family, don't worry I enjoy looking at that too! I'm like a curious cat :) Once again thank you guys SO much!

So today I have for you guys Essie's The Art of Spring collection. Kind of late but it's always better late than never right?

Van D'go - this is in between pink and coral but mixed with melon-ish? 3 coats

Tart Deco - bright orangey coral - 3 coats

Red Nouveau - bright red creme. 2 coats

Pop Art Pink - sheer light pink - 3 coats. Ignore my konad design. I was trying something but failed >_>

Neo Whimsical - a rosey plum creme. 3 coats

Lilacism - lavendar creme. - 3 coats

I liked this collection a lot. Very spring-y. My favorite has to be Van D'go and Tart Deco. Such pretty colors. Not all of them needed three coats, but I did so out of habit. As you can see a little thickness on Van D'go.

So that is all I have for you guys today, I will try my best to post more often!

Dior Lemon Balm

Posted by Unknown on Tuesday, February 23, 2010

Hey guys! To add to my previous Monday Blues, we're supposedly getting rain for the rest of the week. Just my luck?! But I'm not gonna let the rain bring me down.

Well with all that said and done, I have for you my second Dior nail polish.

Lemon Balm - exclusively sold at Nordstrom. It is extremely hard to describe this color. And since picture was taken in artificial light, it's not TRUE to color. But this is an amazing polish. I would say this is a taupey-ish packed with shimmers. I've heard people describe it as a dark brown plum and I'd say it's close to it. I'm getting a headache at trying to explain the color.

My last words are, this polish is extraordinary and I love it. Haha ;)

MAC Style Black

Posted by Unknown on Tuesday, October 27, 2009

Good day everyone! I have for you today MAC's Style Black nail lacquers. I bought 2 or the 3 as the other one is just a plain black creme in which I have like tons.

Seriously Hip - a blackened gold-green. The gold flakes gives this color a shine. I like :)

Baby Goth Girl - red plum with copper flakes. The flakes doesn't show much on the nails but more on the bottle.

I went to the MAC store when these came out and was told they were all sold out. I ended up going to Nordstrom and asked for them, and the sales lady told me these were the last ones she had. I guess lucky me?

I also bought the Volcanic Ash Exfoliator and the Volcanic Ash Thermal Mask. Let me tell you, the Volcanic Ash Thermal Mask was fun to use! Although I looked quite scary with a black mask on =X
