Zoya Reyzis speaks with Nails Magazine about naming Zoya Nail Polish colors...

Zoya Nail Polish and the Art of Naming Colors: an interview with Zoya Reyzis

If you’ve ever visited Zoya.com to do a polish color search for your first name, let’s just say you’re not alone. The professional nail manufacturer’s polish names are a veritable who’s who of important women, many of whom share names (sometimes coincidentally, sometimes not) with nail techs and clients. Unlike those key chains at tourist gift shops that feature only the most common names, Zoya polishes have a penchant for names that are historical, musical, and ultimately meaningful.

“It’s something good I started many years ago,” says founder Zoya Reyzis. As a classical pianist, Reyzis wanted to educate others about art, music, and culture. She says, “When my polish brand started, I connected these things together. With red colors I thought about great women in history who lived and died for love and passion. I connected the lighter colors with ballet, giving them names like Snow White and Giselle.”

Help Zoya Save the Earth this Earth Day and Every Day!

Posted by Unknown on Friday, April 20, 2012

Did you know that liking Zoya on Facebook and following
us on Twitter can actually help save the earth?
Well it can!

You see, the more followers we have, the more people we can communicate with electronically. Reaching our fans electronically means less brochures are printed and less trees are cut down for paper. HOORAY!

Less Brochures = More Trees = Cleaner Earth... It's that simple!

Even though Zoya believes in recycling, using eco-friendly packaging materials and using recycled paper and ink - recycling still takes up valuable energy resources.

Join our Social Media campaign and help us reduce our ecological footprint! The more of you that like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter means the faster and more environmentally friendly (paper-free!) we can communicate with all of you. Not to mention you get to talk and interact with thousands of other Zoya Nail Polish lovers like you!

Please help Zoya make the earth a cleaner, happier place to be - one like, one follow at a time.

Looking to GREEN your beauty routine? Exchange your old, unwanted non-Zoya nail polishes for a limited time during our annual Zoya Earth Day Nail Polish Exchange! You get to exchange polish that may not be BIG5FREE for toxin-free Zoya Nail Polish and we properly dispose of the unwanted polishes according to EPA guidelines.

Did ya hear? Zoya Nail Polish has been named as the 2012 Best Beauty Buy for Eco-Friendly Polish by InStyle Magazine. With over 300, vegan-friendly, BIG5FREE (Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, Dibutyl Phthalate, Toluene and Camphor Free Formula) shades to choose from, Zoya is not only the smart choice in nail polish, it's also the most stylish one!
