We are so proud to have our company founder,
Zoya Reyzis, featured in the most recent issue of
Russian Vogue.
This Vogue article has caused everyone in the
Art of Beauty offices to reflect on the often unexpected and unique twists and turns that life can take... especially when we consider Zoya and her family's immigration from Russia to the USA only to be featured in Russian Vogue 30 years later! It truly is a beautiful and inspiring success story that we are all very happy to be a part of.

Zoya Nail Polish and the Art of Naming Colors: an interview with Zoya ReyzisIf you’ve ever visited Zoya.com to do a polish color search for your first name, let’s just say you’re not alone. The professional nail manufacturer’s polish names are a veritable who’s who of important women, many of whom share names (sometimes coincidentally, sometimes not) with nail techs and clients. Unlike those key chains at tourist gift shops that feature only the most common names, Zoya polishes have a penchant for names that are historical, musical, and ultimately meaningful. 
“It’s something good I started many years ago,” says founder Zoya Reyzis. As a classical pianist, Reyzis wanted to educate others about art, music, and culture. She says, “When my polish brand started, I connected these things together. With red colors I thought about great women in history who lived and died for love and passion. I connected the lighter colors with ballet, giving them names like Snow White and Giselle.”

Funny how life works out sometimes...
Growing up in the Soviet Union, a little girl named Zoya dreamed of being a ballerina and dancing to Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake. Now, many years later, after a life immersed in music as a classical pianist and becoming a star in world of cosmetics, dreams have come true.
Enter the recent theatrical release of Black Swan. Art of Beauty (makers of
Zoya and
Qtica) recently visited Cosmoprof USA (Las Vegas - Mandalay Bay Convention Center) as both a part of the show and as attendees! It was a wonderful show and even more wonderful to see so many old friends and to make so many new ones as well.
The show was attended by just about everyone who is anyone in the beauty industry including top beauty and cosmetic brands, distributors, salons, spas, industry professionals, celebrities, magazine editors and bloggers. In attendance on behalf of Art of Beauty were Michael Reyzis (President), Zoya Reyzis (Founder), Leo Reyzis (Vice President), Erin Giddings (Media Relations and Design) and Ellen Carey (Distributor Coordinator).
It was an extra special show for
Zoya lovers since Zoya Reyzis herself was able to meet with the media and tell her unique and interesting life story. Zoya is a captivating storyteller!

The one, the only, Zoya Reyzis (AKA Founder of
Zoya Nail Polish) actually painted my nails today! I know - I know - WOW! Now Zoya doesn't just do anyones nails - she's way too busy for that - it's only on a rare, revolutionary occasion that one would be given such an honor. LUCKY ME! The actual purpose of my once in a lifetime opportunity was because I am part of a top secret test group here at
Art of Beauty (makers of Zoya and
Qtica) who are participating in a revolutionary product test. All I can say is... no gels, acrylics or UV products are involved!!! No special equipment (lamps) needed either. Awesome - Amazing - Thanks Zoya. OMG so easy too - even a caveman could do it (Sorry Geico).
