Zoya Reyzis speaks with Nails Magazine about naming Zoya Nail Polish colors...

Zoya Nail Polish and the Art of Naming Colors: an interview with Zoya Reyzis

If you’ve ever visited Zoya.com to do a polish color search for your first name, let’s just say you’re not alone. The professional nail manufacturer’s polish names are a veritable who’s who of important women, many of whom share names (sometimes coincidentally, sometimes not) with nail techs and clients. Unlike those key chains at tourist gift shops that feature only the most common names, Zoya polishes have a penchant for names that are historical, musical, and ultimately meaningful.

“It’s something good I started many years ago,” says founder Zoya Reyzis. As a classical pianist, Reyzis wanted to educate others about art, music, and culture. She says, “When my polish brand started, I connected these things together. With red colors I thought about great women in history who lived and died for love and passion. I connected the lighter colors with ballet, giving them names like Snow White and Giselle.”

Juicy Orange Soda...

That's the theme of this feature from the June Issue of Elle Magazine in Poland. Bright, bubbly orange and tangerine hued products are highlighted - we can almost smell the citrusy scent of a freshly peeled orange just looking at them.

Among the sea of orange, Zoya Nail Polish in Jancyn is featured as an optimistic orange that lasts for up to seven days.

InStyle Magazine Names Zoya Products as 2012 Best Beauty Buys!

Posted by Unknown on Thursday, April 19, 2012

The Country's Top Experts Have Spoken...

Each year, InStyle Magazine interviews hundreds of doctors and industry professionals to showcase products that are the best of the best in their category - makeup, hair, skin and nails. The expert picks were narrowed down to 156 and, out of all the products in the world, not one - but TWO Zoya Nail Polish Products made the cut!!!

Named as "Best Beauty Buy" for Nail Polish Remover - Zoya Remove Plus
Zoya Remove Plus Nail Polish Remover has quickly become a favorite among consumers, leading industry professionals and nail care experts world-wide. The award wining, gentle, yet highly effective 3-in-1 formula, cleans and preps while moisturizing, nourishing and fortifying the nail plate for guaranteed extended polish wear.

"This three-in-one is "not your average remover," says L.A. nail pro Jenna Hipp. It comes in a convenient pump (no mess, no fuss), and it's so incredibly strong that it can remove black polish in a single swipe. Yet, it's gentle, moisturizing nails without leaving a white film."

In the Eco-Friendly Category, Zoya Nail Polish was deemed Best Beauty Buy for Nail Polish!
Ultra long-wearing, glossy nail lacquers by Zoya are free of harmful industrial chemicals like toluene, camphor, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, and dibutyl phthalate (DBP) that are known to cause cancer and birth defects.

"N.Y.C nail pro Ana Maria Gheorghiu used these gorgeous nontoxic polishes on a then-pregnant Natalie Portman. Free of the harsh stuff (toluene, formaldehyde, and DBP), Zoya formulas also have a longevity you don't often find in eco-friendly lines. Plus, "they come out with great colors ever season," says N.Y.C. manicurist Tracylee. "It's fun in a bottle." $8 each; zoya.com."

The featured must-have shades are Zoya Nail Polish in Renee and Zoya Nail Polish in Jana. With over 300, long-wearing, fashion forward shades to choose from, Zoya is not only the smart choice in nail polish, it's also the most stylish one!
