China Glaze Digital Dawn +Lynnderella Cauldron Drippings

This is two coats of China Glaze Digital Dawn with no top coat. I think it is beautiful! The next day I addd one coat of Lynnderella Cauldron Drippings with no top coat. I did not add any top coat because I had planned on stamping a nail design as soon as it dried so I did not want to waste top coat. 

I stamped on the nail design with YouMix Cosmetics XL stamping plate A and Kleancolor White. Then I used my dotting tool and added purple dots (over the white dots that were already there from the stamp design) with Kleancolor Metallic Purple.

A Christmas Present Nail Design

Another Franken polish for you today! I have become obsessed with buying people's custom polishes lately. This polish comes from Dollish Polish. You can visit her Etsy shop here. She also sells custom hand painted nail art.

The photo above shows three coats of Expecto Patronum and one coat of China Glaze Fast Forward top coat. After two coats, I still had "bald" spots, so a third coat was a must for me. I do  appreciate the subtle glitter (there is a slight shimmer the photo doesn't show), but I do wish there were more blue chunks of glitter on my nails.

See all the lovely blue glitter in the bottle shot! I want more of that on my nail! And I did shake the bottle like crazy (like her note said to in the package). I think most of the glitter settled at the bottom, but I had a hard time getting it to rise to the top so the brush could pick it up. I shook it pretty well too.

I recently saw my friend Michelle's (Sonoma Nail Art) gift wrapping manicure, and it inspired me. 

Here is my version of a "sophisticated" Christmas present (in other words, I didn't want to use red, green, or gold). I painted on the "ribbon" with Sally Hansen Celeb City. I then stamped on the bow with Red Angel Stamping plate RA-121 and Kleancolor Metallic Navy.  These are my recently purchased stamping plates from Amazon. Glitter Gal Dark Brown Sparkle = a perfect brown!

This is two coats of Glitter Gal Dark Brown Sparkle, which is an amazing brown holo! I just love this polish! It goes on so easily and dries so quickly. I then used China Glaze Papaya Punch (of course I used this polish AGAIN!), OPI Just A Little Rosti At This, OPI Caught With My Khakis Down, and Bundle Monster stamping plate BM03 to stamp on the leaf nail design! I stamped on the same leaf nail design with all three polishes (red, green, and orange).

Blue Rose Nail Design

The inspiration for this nail design comes from Lisa at Happy Nails! I saw her manicure about a month ago, and I fell in love. So I decided to do my own version, but I think mine is a little too loud haha! It is supposed to be soft and elegant.... I used Orly La Playa and Konad Stamping Plate M65 to stamp on the rose nail design. I free handed the white french tips with white Kleancolor polish.

A-England + Konad Stamping Plate M60 + Nail Art Stickers

These are my FIRST photos with my new camera, and that camera is AMAZING. I didn't have to search for the perfect lighting or anything like that. I simply took the photos in my kitchen, where I was sitting painting my nails. My old camera would never pick up the kind of sparkle showing in these pics with the lighting in my kitchen. (I do have more manicures I will post later that were taken by my old camera though.).  I still have a lot to learn--TONS of settings! And I need to figure out how to position my hand for a good photo. With my old camera, I had to hold the camera close to my hand to get a good photo. With this camera, my hand has to be arms length away for the camera to focus, which makes it hard to see the angle of my nails and position of my fingers on the bottle (I hope you get what I am trying to say here!). It will take some getting used to. This camera was such a great gift from my husband!!!! For those who didn't see my post on Facebook, it is a Canon EOS Rebel T2i 18.0-Megapixel Camera! What do you think of the photos?

Then I used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Wet Cement to stamp on a plaid print with Konad Stamping Plate M60! Of course that was not enough, so I added some cute little stickers, which did not last long. I should have used a top coat. They lasted a day. Oh well, it was a good day!
