Nfu Oh NFU 52 + Bling Nail Art

Quick post today,  because I am in a rush (It is already 8 pm. I have been playing with my new camera all night--trying to figure out the settings. WARNING!!! RANDOM THOUGHT HERE! I love stalking blogs, but I just feel like I follow WAY too many blogs that I can't keep up with the new post. I try to comment on EVERYONE'S blog just to let them know I visited and appreciate their blog. It is getting to be overwhelming. I guess I am going to start commenting on random blogs every night instead of EVERY blog. Does anyone else feel like this?) .

This is an old manicure, but I really like it! This is two coats of Nfu Oh 52 by itself (no base color). It is somewhat shear on its own, but nothing where I am like "I need a base coat".  The camera does pick up more bald spots on the nail that you do not see in person. 

Then I trimmed some "bling nail art stickers" I bought at Sally Beauty Supply to fit my nail. Gotta go! See you soon!

Nfu-Oh Holos 61-66

Today I have more holos to share with you guys! I can't get enough of holos, I have too much love towards them. I have the brand Nfu-Oh holos swatches done. Let's take a look!




61 is a silver holo. 3 coats. First picture under fluorescent light, and second picture under direct sunlight. I didn't order this back then because I thought China Glaze OMG was good enough. But when I saw pictures of it I thought it was a stunning silver holo, so when it is finally in stock again I went right ahead and ordered it (along with 62-65) I was extremely disappointed with it because it didn't shine as well as the swatches I've seen. In the bottle all I saw was a dull plain silver polish. I used their Aqua Base as a base coat. The holo only showed in sunlight and under fluorescent lights. Without light all you see is silver.


62 is a light coral holo. 2 coats. This one showed a little more holo than 61 did.


63 is a pink holo. 2 coats.


64 is a dark pink close to purple holo. I know in my picture it looks really similar to 63. But in person there's a difference. 63 is lighter than 64.


65 is a light blue holo. 3 coats.


66 is a light green holo. 2 coats. I bought this two years ago. As you can see, there is a HUGE difference between this one the new ones I bought recently. Can you see the amazing holo glow in this one compared to the others? Now this is what I call a true holo. Which is why I was super disappointed that I spent so much on 61-65. No holos are like how they used to be now.

Like I mentioned, I was disappointed because they weren't as holo as I thought they would be, or at least compared to the swatches I've seen. But at least I'm glad I have 66. The formula for these were decent. They tend to streak if you don't use any type of water based base coats. I use their Aqua Base base coats for all of them. Although using the Aqua Base makes the polish chips faster. I don't know why that's the case but these usually didn't even last a day without chipping.

As much as I love holos, I wasn't just that happy with this. Maybe if I bought all of them 2 years ago I would've loved these as much as I loved 66. Oh well! I just wish they made polishes like they did back then (including all brands).

Day 6 violet China Glaze LOL

Hello Ladies we are now on Day 6 Violet I had a tough time with picking a color for this one because I wasn't sure what color qualifies as Violet but I was like what the heck ill just pick any purple Ive been wanting to use. About a  month ago a went dusty hunting and found 3 brand new bottles of China Glaze LOL!!! I gave 2 away and kept one and haven't use it can you believe that!! LOL went on smooth in 2 coat with no basecoat because Ive read that its pretty hard to apply with the wrong basecoat so I just skipped it.

I love this color but then I got an idea what would a holo polish look like with a flakie on top? I had to give it a try so I went ahead and added Nfu Oh #51 and look AWESOME the pictures does not do it justice!

Hope you guys like this combination I just wish I could capture how beautiful it actually is.

Day 5 Blue Orly Stone Cold

This is the day Ive been looking forward to because blue is my favorite color and Ive been dying to use Orly Stone cold from the new Mineral Fx collection. This polish is a must have its a super shimmery blue that was opaque in 2 coat and dried smooth!

Ok so I wanted to add a little something to it and what better then some flakies! I added a coat of Nfu Oh #53 now the pictures I took does not do it justice. It kinda reminded me of a polish Ive been drooling over for a while KOH blue universe. 

I added a coat of Essie Matte about you just for fun.

I love this mani and its probably going to be my favorite of this entire challenge. What is you favorite color?

Nfu Oh JS-16 (jelly finish polish) + OPI Traffic Stopper Copper Top Coat

This was my first attempt at a jelly sandwich manicure. I think it turned out very well. I actually wore it for four days! This is a new jelly finish polish that I bought from fabuloustreet.com/ (Remember I hauled about it last week. Click here to see that post.). Capturing the true color of this polish was very difficult. I could only capture the true color outdoors in direct sunlight (which washed out the beauty of the manicure, but oh well, atleast I caught the true color of the polish. And you can see the glitter quite well). 

Generally I like to take my pictures indoors, but this is what the polished looked like when I took the photo indoors--NOTHING like the true color. 

Isn't that insane how lighting can change the color of a polish that dramatically in a photo?! Anyways, the base coat is two coats of Nfu Oh JS-16, followed by one coat of OPI Traffic Stopper Cooper, followed by one thin coat of Nfu Oh JS-16. Here are some more photos for you to enjoy.

In the following photos, I wanted to show you what the manicure looked like without that final top coat of Nfu Oh JS-16. As you can see the glitter pops out more dramatically. In the next two photos, it is two coats of Nfu Oh JS-16 and one coat of OPI. 

In these two close up photos, you can really see the difference that last top coat of the jelly polish does for the manicure.

4 Nfu-Oh Swatches

I've purchased these four Nfu-Oh polishes probably last year and didn't get to swatch till now. I love Nfu-Oh polishes especially for their flakies. Which I think all nail polish brands should make more of!

66 is a slight green holo. It's more of a silver holo but it has hints of green. 3 coats


56 is a green flakies with hints of blue. This was two coats over 569.


55 is a light green flakie with hints of gold flakies. The flakies is kinda weak here, it doesn't pop out so this one was kind of boring for me. Plus it was very sheer, this was under 4 coats


569 is a dark green jelly. This was suppose to be a dupe for NARs Zulu and I think it's pretty similar, and might be even better. This was 2 coats

I'm looking forward to purchase more Nfu-Oh polishes in the future, especially their holos. I got these at fabuloustreet.com. They retail for $12.50 a bottle which I think its some what worth it since no other brands make as much flakies as them. Not to mention the bottle is so cute :)

Nfu-Oh Nail Lacquers

Hi all! Today I have swatches from a brand called Nfu-Oh. Which in my opinion is a brilliant nail polish brand. They have flakies!! I have #'s 51, 52, and 60. They were easy to apply but really tough to remove because of the flakies. Other than that no complaints. I'm in love with them :)


#60, a black base with orange/gold flakies. Done in four coats


#52, blue/purple base with aqua flakies. This one got me REALLY frustrated. Why? Because in person it looks dark blue. But my camera for some odd reason keeps making it look purple! I don't know, maybe I should've done this in 4 coats. It was in 3 coats. But here's a pic from my webcam that shows more blue:





#51, the best of the bunch. Like a chameleon. Purple to red, to pink, to blue. It was really hard capturing the true colors of this nail polish. Here I did my very best. This is a must get. I also took this one with my webcam to show the difference in colors:



Not to mention, the bottles are extremely adorable and creative:



A corset with a flowy dress as the bottom. Brilliant!!

I bought these off fabuloustreet.com. I believe it's the only place to get it, unless you want to try e-Bay, whom I think the seller is the same as the website. They're $12.50 a bottle, but hey for a nail polish so beautiful, price is nothing!
