Lippmann Collection 'All That Jazz' Color Trio (Nordstrom Exclusive)

Hey guys, I'm up early because I'm going on a "mini vacation" for four days. So I decided to do a quick update while waiting for my boyfriend. I have the Lippmann Collection All The Jazz from Nordstrom.

This collection was a huge improvement compared to their previous one, in which I even forgot the name (Ruby Red Slippers was in it). Because I loved all three of them!

Here they are:


Razzle Dazzle - raspberry jelly base with raspberry glitters. 2 coats. Sorry for the blurry pic but my camera was running on low battery when I took this. I was too lazy to charge -_-


Lady Sings the Blues - dark navy blue base with silver/blue glitters and hex glitters. 3 coats. I love how the blue hex shows even with the dark base.



Some Enchanted Evening - a clear base with salmon pink glitters and hex. 2 coats. I decided to layer this over white (RBL's Underwear) to give it a more "softer" look. I like how it turned out. :)

ZOYA Dare Collection

It's 3:33 AM here and I'm still wide awake. I need to cut down on the coffee... So finally got around with Zoya's Dare Collection. I was looking forward to this because I absolutely love cremes.



Vanessa - This is suppose to be a dark berry creme. However, no matter how many pictures I took, this still turn out red on my camera. It is a lot darker in real life.


Ciara - A red purple creme. Slightly similar to Vanessa but more red than berry.


Demi - One of my favorites. A semi-purple creme.


Pinta - A dark purple creme. My picture looks more black than it does in real life..


Envy - Much to my surprise I was a little disappointed at this one. This is a black green creme. I wonder if it's similar to Nars Zulu. Looks a little like it but of course not the real deal. This makes me almost curious as to how it would look with a matte top coat.. Maybe the green will show more. I will try it!


Ibiza - Shimmering black blue, a very dark blue however not close to black. Plenty of shimmers.

I didn't like the Dare collection as much as I did with the Truth collection. Guess I'm not a daredevil. Har har har, another failed attempt at trying to be funny. lol

And of course, I've ordered from OC nail art recently with some cool new plates for konads, and I also bought a few other old konad plates. I decided to play around with it.

ZOYA Truth Collection

Greetings! Hope all is well and not suffering from the Monday Blues. I finally got around with the Zoya Truth collection. And I must say this collection was a surprise to me. Being that I'm not a fan of metallics or reds, I absolutely adore this collection. Two reds in this collection actually looks good on me. On with the swatches..


Penny - a golden metallic shimmer. This one is more gold, looks a bit copper to me. There were a few issues with this one, such as brush strokes, since it was a metallic. But it's also such a nice color!


Kalmia - A red gold shimmer. In the sun you'll see hints of gold shimmer in this light red.


Salma - A red shimmer. This was one of the reds I loved.



Isla - A slightly dark red shimmer. This was my favorite of the whole collection.


Anaka - A shimmer dark pink/magenta? I love the shimmer in this one.

Drew - A mauve pink shimmer. This looked a little boring to me but the micro silver glitters in it makes me like it more! Very appropriate for the fall.

Random Misa

I love Misa brand nail polishes. Their colors are unique, the application is easy, no bubbles, no streaks. And they're affordable.


Runway Diva - This looks less pink in person. Actually there's not much pink at all in person. It's a simple mauve creme. A little too simple for me. But I like it.

Decadent Drifter - Behold!! The invisble Misa nail polish bottle! I don't know why I didn't take a picture with the bottle. Maybe it really was invisible. But anyways, this color is ah-mayyyy-ziiiiiiiiiing! I love duochromes and this one is one of my favorite. A pale green with some pink, purple? It's really hard to capture in picture. Looks a lot better in person.


Toxic Seduction - Mm what's better than green nail polish? Nothing really. I love green, it's my favorite color. And Toxic Seduction is a heavy shimmery green. You can barely see the shimmers but the shimmers gives it life.


Foxy & Folsky - Another duochrome. Except this one is even harder to capture on my camera. It's also mauve but looks bronze in certain shades or angles. I have writer's block right now. I can't really think of ways to describe these colors.

I'm feeling under the weather today. Not really feeling my greatest and my usual self. Nevertheless, spring break is almost here. I just have one more class tonight and I'm FREE!! I ordered my Zoya Ooh-La-La collection, and La-Di-Da collection. Only certain choices I chosed not because not all the colors are appealing to me. I'm STILL waiting for my China Glaze Kicks collection. I don't know why it's taking forever to ship to me because I live in the SAME state! Grr.. Oh well until then.. :)

I just finished two of my hardest midterms after 2 days of studying. And I did terrible on both of them. My mood is in complete misery right now. Sigh..

Zoya's Yasmeen is a pretty purple. Another vampy color. I want more brights..

ORLY

ORLY Midnight Star - a metallic purple. Which is also a duplicate of OPI's Peek-a-boo Purple. The very best Scrangie did a comparison for me. Click here for Scrangie's swatch.

OPI

OPI Queen of West Web-erly - I loved this color. It matches me and applied well in two coats.

OPI Pretty&Privileged - A red that actually doesn't make me look bloody scary. I like it

OPI Greenwich Village - This was my St. Patty's day mani. Loveee green!

MISA

Misa Sweet Pleasure - sheer blue glitter? Shimmer? I don't know. I love the color on the bottle but my natural nails are showing so ew..

Locavore - mixed of gold, silver, green and blue glitter. These are VERY brutal to take off. I didn't so swatches on the other one because I got lazy after trying to remove locavore lol

Misa Living On The Fast Lane Collection; Spring 2009

New York was hit with a 12 inch blizzard and my campus was not closed. How cruel was that?! But anyways, this week's swatches includes Misa's Living on the Fast Lane Collection for Spring 2009. My overall rating for this collection is a 7 out of 10. In which I'll explain why in a bit. But here are the colors!



Speed of Life
Wow please pardon my dried up cuticles *cringes*. But this was one of my favorite in this collection. The orange was a bright orange creme that is not like any other orange nail polishes out there. This one is more soft and not so neon, not so pastel, not so bright, but bright enough?



Right Here Now, No More Later
A really bright light sky blue creme! OMG this color is gorgeous. I loved it. Only 2 coats were needed. This one was kind of similar to China Glaze Bahamian Escape in the Bahamas Blue collection but this one is more darker and more vibrant than the CG one. Love it, love it, love it!


Push Upon It
Ok seriously how many berry like creams are we gonna get for the spring collections. I already have two from the OPI South Beach collection. I didn't like this color that much besides the richness of this color. Other than that it is a pretty boring color to me. I think we need to see more new colors no?


On the Edge
Again, more blues! This one is a blue creme, not too navy like and not to sky blue like. Just BLUE. Again we've seen a lot of these type of blues. Similarly in China Glaze's Bahamas Blues collection. I lke this one though because it's REALLY BAM BLUE in the sun. If that even makes sense......


Dirty, Sexy Money
WHOA. My favorite color of the collection. Because I can't even think of a dupe for this color! It's greenish, turquoise, I don't really know. But this color is awesome and I love it.

There is one more collection Stop Rewinding, Just Fast Forward in which I did not get because I don't really like reds. It tends to make me look REALLY evil like. Haha, maybe that's just me but it looked nice on other people. If you want to you may take a look at Scrangie's blog entry regarding the whole collection.
