Color Club Foiled Collection Swatches & Review

Thanksgiving is tomorrow! So I just want to wish everyone a great Thanksgiving! Also wanted to say that I'm thankful for my family, my wonderful dog, my amazing boyfriend, my great friends, and for my new job. I am also thankful to have met so many wonderful bloggers that share the same love and interest as me, you ladies know who you are! Today I have Color Club's Foiled collection to share with you. The foiled collection consists of 6 polishes with foil finish.


Cold Metal is a sapphire blue foil. 2 coats. This blue is insane, the color is so vivid and so out there.


Hot Like Lava is a fuchsia pink foil. 2 coats. Another super vivid color.


Foil Me Once is a pink foil. Leans a little towards the purple tones. 2 coats.


Antiquated is a brownish gold foil. 2 coats.


Perfect Mol-Ten is a green foil. 2 coats


Lumin-icecent is a silver foil with slight blue tones. 2 coats.

The formula for these were excellent, they applied flawlessly and so smooth. There are no visible brush strokes, and they dry super fast. I was a little hesitant on this collection because I'm not really a huge fan of foils/metallic polishes. But something about this collection attracted my eyes so I decided to buy the whole collection and try it out. I'm not disappointed at all about this like other people are. I'm satisfied with my purchase.

These are very bright colors, and can grab many attention. I received a lot of compliments when I wore these. They were opaque in one coat, but I did two to even it out. My favorites are Cold Metal and Limin-icecent.

Zoya Gems & Jewels Collection Swatches and Review

Today I have Zoyas Gems & Jewels collection to share with you guys. This collection consists of three shimmers and three glitters to match with them.


Holly is an emerald green shimmer. 2 coats


Rina over Holly, Rina is mixed with green and blue bar glitters, and green micro glitters


Noel is an icey blue metallic. 2 coats.


Twila over Noel, Twila has blue and holo bar glitters and blue micro glitters.


Izzy is a bright fuchsia shimmer. 2 coats


Kissy over Izzy, Kissy is mixed with pink and holo bar glitters, and fuchsia micro glitters.

I played around with the glitters on a nail wheel over white. The glitters are shown more over white.

And finally I decided to layer them over each other, and the results are quite interesting.

Overall this collection is interesting. I like the bar glitters and everything. It's perfect to create a gradient like affect on the tips. The shimmers weren't that unique, however, the formula is excellent. It applied flawlessly. Noel has a metallic/foil finish and it was not streaky. Visible brush strokes is minimum. I would definitely wear the bar glitters over a different color though just so you can see the colors more.

Chanel Peridot and Graphite Nail Lacquers for Fall 2011

Greetings all! It's raining cats and dogs here in New York, having a very lazy, and boring Sunday. Well at least I did quite a few productive things today. Well today I have Chanel's Peridot and Graphite nail lacquers to share for the Illusions d'Ombres de Chanel Fall 2011 collection. This collection came with one more polish in which I didn't buy because I am on a budget right now.





Peridot is a olive green duochrome that will change to a green then golden brown and even blue in certain lightings. I was unable to capture the blue. 2 coats. This was taken under artificial light.

Graphite is a light charcoal foil with tiny gold flakes. 2 coats. This was taken under artificial light. The promo pictures didn't do much justice for this polish. This is gorgeous in person.

The formula for these were pretty good. However, I do have a slight complaint about chipping issues. Peridot last slightly longer than Graphite. After I put on Graphite, I usually let my nails dry for at least 20 minutes, even with a fast dry top coat. I used a base coat as well. I washed my hands and ate dinner. Two hours later I saw a slight chip at the corners of my nails. It kind of annoys me that I spend $25 on polishes that doesn't even last long. Peridot didn't start chipping until a day later.



The colors are just so gorgeous that I can't help myself but to order them. There's no polish like Peridot, it's so gorgeous that you need to see it in person to love the polish.

Zoya Intimate Collection 2011

Ah Spring collections are coming out, which means Spring is somewhat near. I am sick of Winter. I hate the cold weather since I get sick very easy. I lost count of how many times I got sick this Winter -_- I actually starting to feel a little better from being sick for two weeks.

Today I have the Zoya Intimate Collection for Spring 2011. I noticed a lot of spring collection consists of gray-ish soft nude tones. The Intimate Collection consists of 6 gorgeous colors. Take a look:


Danni - a purple shimmer with gold and pinkish shimmers. This one is so gorgeous, I love it. Two coats


Jules - a taupey shimmer mixed with golden shimmers. Looks dull in my picture but in person it's stunning! Two coats


Caitlin - a gray creme with purple tones. Looks semi-blue in my pic but it's really purple. 2 coats


Dove - like its name, it is a dove gray creme. 2 coats


Marley - a light lavender creme with gray tones. Two coats


Gemma - an olive green creme with purple shimmer duo-chrome. Two coats. I loved this one and wish the purple shimmer showed more in my picture. But there's like absolutely no sun and that's why I hate Winter!!

Overall I think this collection is awesome. The colors are gorgeous. And the formula is perfect as usual. I had no streaks and no problems with the semi-metallic foil finishes and the cremes applied wonderfully. I loved all the colors, not a single one I didn't like, which I love because I know I spent my money on the right products. I hate when I buy polishes and the colors are disappointing.

My favorites do happen to be Gemma and Danni. Those two stood out the most for the collection. What's your favorites?

China Glaze 'Tis the Season to be Naughty & Nice

Hello all. Today I have China Glaze's 'Tis the Season to be Naughty & Nice collection which is their holiday/winter collection. This whole collection which consists of 16 colors is truly a holiday collection filled with Christmas-y colors. I liked every single color in this collection, there wasn't a single one I didn't like :)

Sugar Plums is a dark rosey mauve shimmer with multicolor glitters


Mommy Kissing Santa Clause is a slight dark red shimmer


Little Drummer Boy is a navy shimmer


Jolly Holly is a green shimmer


Peace on Earth is an olive green shimmer


Cheers to You is a metallic silver foil


Midnight Kiss is a gold foil


Frosty is a soft white shimmer with silver flecks


Jingle Bells is a metallic gold


Phat Santa is a red creme with semi jelly finish


Naughty & Nice is a dark reddish brown creme


Ruby Deer is a bright red creme, also with a semi jelly finish


Mistletoe Kisses is a green shimmer with silver flecks


Mrs. Clause is a jelly red base with red and silver fleck glitters


Party Hearty is a clear base with silver, gold, green glitters and big red glitters


Snow is a white creme with a super glossy finish. Under two coats, no streaks

The application for these were nice. I had no problems with any of them. All were either under two or three coats. The foils/metallics were not streaky at all. They applied perfectly. But Snow happens to be my favorite go to white creme now. It's super glossy and not streaky at all. Took only two coats to be fully opaque and smooth looking. In my picture, there was no top coat.

Zoya Fire & Ice (Flame) Collection

Hi! I know I haven't post in awhile. I was sick for the past week and I'm finally feeling better. Still coughing and voice is still rasping but other than that I'm good. So forgive me :)

So anyways, today I have Zoya's new Fire & Ice Collection, which recently the collection's name was changed to Flame collection. This collection consists of 6 gorgeous colors with a foil like finish.

All pictures were taken under artificial light.


Tiffany a soft peachy copper shimmer


Gloria is a rosey pink shimmer


Crystal is a turquoise blue with gold flecks


Lisa is a red shimmer with reddish flecks


Sarah a magenta shimmer with red and pink flecks


Valerie is a plum purple with light purple flecks

Overall this collection is stunning. I loved all six shades, but my favorite has to be Crystal. I love how the orangey/gold/copper flecks work with the turquoise. Very unique color. Formula was the typical Zoya formaul, smooth and perfect in every way. All were under two coats.

MAC Venomous Villains Nail Lacquers

Yay! I finally have the MAC's Venomous Villains Nail Lacquers done today (2 months late). I know its all absolutely sold out now and that evil eBay is having it for prices beyond imaginable.

I spent quite a lot of money on this collection. Being that I absolutely love Disney, and of course MAC. Them collaborating is like me having a dream come true! Below is everything that I bought from the collection. I do not regret spending money on these because I love the colors and everything. My wallet wasn't happy though, but that's OK xD

Anyway, here are the swatches of the nail lacquers:

Formidable is a plum-ish base with blue and pink flecks of shimmer. Yes very similar to Orly's Galaxy Girl


Mean & Green is a brownish green base with purple and golden shimmer. And yes very similar to Orly's Space Cadet


Bad Fairy is a red shimmer with hints of gold and orangey shimmer

As you can see, Bad Fairy is the only one worth buying since Formidable and Mean & Green have dupes. What I wished they did was slap on Maleficient's picture on the polish bottle like they did with the Hello Kitty's. That would've made the polish more special and unique. They were all under three coats and application was pretty good. Had no problems.
