OPI Reflecting Pool

Reflecting Pool is a teal based foil with an electric blue frost (I say frost because it leaves stroke marks that are familiar with frost finishes) also with large gold glitter.

I used 3 coats here as Reflecting Pool is a little on the sheer side. I don't really like the look of it on my skin as it seems to pull out the red undertones.

Also I much prefer this polish to be matte so I can appreciate the glitter/foil without being distracted by the frostiness.

OPI Sugar Cookie Pink

I think Sugar Cookie Pink was my favourite out of the Sweet Pink collection. Especially with such a cute name.

Sugar Cookie Pink is really different. It's like its highly pigmented and super sheer at the same time! Confusing aren't I?

I mean with a regular sheer polish you eventually get some sort of build-up but with Sugar Cookie Pink you only build up the pinkness, not the coverage. I am wearing four coats here.

It looks really pretty as just one or two coats as well. It gives your nails a healthy but cute glow to it.

Sugar Cookie Pink's formula was a little bit different, it went on a little bit thick but you really only need thin coats as you aren't going to get anymore coverage than the first coat. Plus Sugar Cookie is super glossy. Which I really liked!

I can tell I'll be wearing this one a lot :D

OPI Pink Cupcake

Now Pink Cupcake is a lot more exciting!

Pink Cupcake is 'gummy' looking pink with pink and blue shimmer. I really love it. Pink Cupcake reminds me of buying gummy lollies after school.

I used just two coats here. You get a nice coverage with Pink Cupcake.

The formula was superb. Nice thickness too it, not runny at all.

OPI Pink a Peach

Pink a Peach was from OPI's Sweet Pink collection released in Asia. I was super excited to get these but this one really underwelmed me.

Pink a Peach looks like a frosty grandma colour to me, maybe it's just my skintone with it?

Two coats used here. The formula was a little thick but it was ok to use, just meant thicker coats.

To me it looks like a peachier version of OPI's Cherry Blossom. Pink a Peach has that same silver shimmer and microshimmer as Cherry Blossom.

OPI Lilac I Care

Here's one that's been sitting around in the 'needs to be posted' pile for a long time, OPI's Lilac I Care.

It is one of the older Yokohamas but Transdesign has the Nicole By OPI reincarnation for sale :)

Three coats here, it is quite a thin formula like with most older OPIs.

OPI Bay Bridge Sunset

This isn't a holo from OPI's main line. Bay Bridge Sunset was a part of their Yokohama collection released in only very few select countries.

I used two coats here. It is wonderfully pigmented, not the slightest bit sheer.

Not only is it a unique copper holographic shade - it has a golden duochrome! I love it. I will wear this one in summer for sure.

On a side note: Do you mind if make-up or fashion design related things are shown on here? They won't be as frequent as nail posts, but I do love make-up and fashion design and would love to share them with you n_n Get your thoughts on them too!

OPI Vintage Violet

Vintage Violet reminds me of easter eggs in their foil.

This was also a little to pearly for my liking... This was just two coats. Very chromey and blinding in the sunlight. Although I never tried it with a top coat.

Nice formula. I was a little worried about this one, because the photos I had seen of it looked incredibly streaky.

Right, I am off into town this morning as I will be every morning from now on for three months x_x So I will try to blog as much as I can while doing my course for you! I think I might have to take photos during my lunch break lol that's about all the free time I'll have.

OPI Bleu-Blue

I took some better photos of this lovely pastel blue and also tried it over a ridge filler. I used four coats last time, and it was a little streaky and un-even in places. So ridge filler this time... and guess what? This is three *perfect* coats.

Bleu-Blue applies dreamy with the good ol' RF. A lot easier to control also!

I keep looking at these photos wondering why the hell I cut my nails off... they looked so pretty :( But they do start to curl in at the sides when I have them at this length, and the peeling on the sides I can't really fix because if I file them the sides go in too much... ok, I am convinced on why I cut them :D

I still haven't done any easter nails yet!

Hello Sailor!

If there's one thing other than nail polish that gets me excited is Sailor Uniforms. The collars on those things are just... wonderful!

I really wanted to add the collar shape and stripes onto this manicure but I thought it might be a bit *too* much.

I started off with Essies Mesmerize. When I first got it, we didn't have such a great connection, but I was willing to give Mez another go... I mean, how cool is this colour, AND IT'S ESSIE?!?!

Mesmerize is another Essie that blows my socks off, it applies awesomely, wasn't streaky and hardly any clean-up was needed at all.

But by doing a lot of swatching previously, I was bored of a plain creme, had my Japanese White Striper still unused and Shimmer shining her holo's at me... so I decided to add them all to Mesmerize!

I free-handed Shimmer across my tips, twice. It was a little uneven in some places as it sort of drips down to the sides if you apply a lot in one place. After that had taken a whole two minutes to dry, I free-handed the white line underneath Shimmer. This thing is so cool! So I drew a bow on my thumb n_n

I think Mesmerize will definately be the blue I wear to this years Armageddon ♥!

OPI Pick Me Up Purple

Pick Me Up Purple needed some new photos... so here they are!

I am going through some of my polishes that were poorly represented in the past.

I used the sheerer Yokohamas over a ridge filler and holy crap, I only need 3 coats to be satisfied now! Not four and left to be desired! Currently I have been using China Glaze's but I am eyeing up Zoya's ridge filler.

So the ridge filler made the application a lot easier as the older Yokohamas can be runny. Seriously, look at the difference between the two coater photo and the others which are three coaters. OH BOY, I am in love with Pick Me Up Purple.

Japanese Holographics - Blue

I just bought another of this one today for my friend Lauren, I thought it would suit her golden skin tone beautifully. I also brought her another blue polish, its a pastel-baby blue frost/shimmer (hard to tell in the bottle). I'm thinking I may need to get some for myself hehe!

A gorgeous baby blue holographic. You know what me and mum couldn't figure out? How a Japanese company is able to produce these lovelies when they apply just as a 'salon' polish would, last like a 'salon' polish would, but they are a fraction of the price?

I mean, I got this one for $3.00, an OPI Designer Series polish here, would cost me $40.00 x_x Seriously crazy.

The bottles are probably half the size of an OPI, but still that's only $6.00 VS. $40.00

OPI Cherry Blossom

I was craving Cherry Blossom and I really wanted to try out those stickers.

Sticker Review:
These are probably some of the best I have come across. They aren't thick and bulky, they're nice, thin and easy to take off the sheet and place on the nail.

Plus! They wear like iron, I didn't put top coat over them and they survived my night, sleep and shower!

Cherry Blossom Review:
The sparkles in this one remind me of fairies or something, there isn't anything quite like it.

I remember a while ago someone asked me how they should franken it... I had suggested OPI Elephantastic Pink for the base colour, Princesses Rule for the shimmer and maybe some clear polish to make it a little sheerer. I will include these polishes in my next order so I can try it for you guys n_n

Application was alright. Not excellent because it was a little runny, and Cherry Blossom being a sheer, I had to do three thickish coats to achieve this look. Doing three thickish coats of a sheer gets kinda messy on the sides.

But Cherry Blossom does dry quite quickly and looks amazing in the sun and indoors!

Oh my goodness, it's April tomorrow! Ahhh!
