Essie Dive Bar + Haul + OPI DS Illuminate

Posted by Unknown on Thursday, September 22, 2011

September 22, 2011

WARNING! THIS IS A LENGTHY POST! =) I have a few things to show you today!

First up is Essie Dive Bar. LOVE this manicure because it has both the shiny and matte finishes all in one! This polish has an amazing blackened teal shimmer. I have to warn you my photos make the polish look almost black especially the matte finish photos, but this polish is not this dark! It has a gorgeous teal/bue shimmer to it that is NOT hard to notice in person! I bought this polish specifically for my sister. She saw it on another blog and had to have it. I was at Wal-Mart one day and noticed it, so I bought it for her! Before I sent it to her, of course, I swatched it. I wish my photos turned out better so you could see the true color of it! This is two coats.

I then added one coat of Essie Matte About You because I LOVE the look of dark matte polishes! Again, in these photos, the polish looks black. It does NOT look black in person. It has an amazing teal/blue shimmer to it. I did not get any outside photos for this manicure! =(

I used Essie Dive Bar (which is the SAME polish I used as the base coat) to stamp on the design with Konad Stamping Plate M65. I love this because it has the matte AND shiny finish all in one manicure.

My first Jesse's Girl Polishes: Jesse's Girl Mermaid's Lagoon and Jesse's Girl Confetti
______________________________________________________________________

Yesterday I was featured on Lacquered Lover , and this was the manicure! I only posted it here as well because I like to keep an archive of ALL my manicures on my blog (This way if I ever lose my computer (for whatever reason), I still have all my work). She was featured on my blog as well! Click here to see that post!

I only own a few of the OPI DS polishes, and this post features one of them, OPI DS Illuminate. Because Summer is over and Fall is here, I decided to show you a Fall inspired manicure. Here is two coats of OPI DS Illuminate. This is an amazing brown holographic/shimmery polish. It is perfect for the season! My photos do not do it justice as they were taken indoors. It is a shame the sun wasn't out! That is the down fall of doing manicures late at night! I was not about to risk a smudge or something....So I took my photos immediately! =)

And of course I could not have do a guest post with a plain polish..... So I used Kleancolor Metallic Brown and Bundle Monster stamping plate BM19 to stamp on a subtle leave print. I wanted this print to somewhat blend in so it would not take away from the awesomeness of this polish. I added some little fimo leaves for a little something extra as an accent nail.

P.S the fimo leaves stayed on my nail for THREE days without even budging!

Day 9 Rainbow

Posted by Unknown on Friday, September 9, 2011

Hello ladies this challenge is starting to get more exciting I wanted to do something really cool with this one but unfortunately I didn't have much time since Im in training at work and it doesn't leave much time for nails. So I did something I little more simple and quick. I used one of my new polish Jesse's girl Girls night out from JulieG collection and painted my nails except my ring finger. On my ring finger I applied some top coat and began to fill my nails with rhinestones in the colors of the rainbow.

3 coats of Girls night out

I am not fully content with this mani but its the best I could do with the time I had. I wish I would've used the smaller rhinestone. What do you ladies do when your not completely happy with your mani and its late at night? Do you take it off and go the next day with naked nail or keep till you can do something better?

Jesse's Girl - Confetti

Posted by Unknown on Saturday, August 6, 2011

I recently realized that this polish was still sitting in my untrieds for far too long. I tried it out and fell in love! Some say it's similar but not exact dupe for RBL Scrangie, I don't know sadly because I don't own that polish but you can search and see for yourself. I could tell it was going to be terribly sheer, so I layered 2 coats of Confetti over 2 coats of China Glaze Spontaneous.
(these pics are after 2 full days of tip wear, so pardon that!)
I think it is ridiculously gorgeous! I received lots of compliments on this at work.
It has a strong blue flash at times, and at other angles it looks like a purple glitter. It is really eye catching.

I then experimented after a few days with Jesse's Girl Confetti over a blue polish.
This is 2 coats of Confetti over Sally Hansen Blue Blast for the index and ring fingers.

Basically I love it over either color, I just feel like the purple stands out more because of the contrast of the purple and the blue. Over the blue is still gorgeous, but it loses the purple.

NOTD: Color Club Pucci-licious + Confetti

Posted by Unknown on Monday, January 31, 2011

I am in a good mood today and wanted a bright color with some glitter. I looked in my collection and Color Club Pucci-licious stood out to me and since I have never used it before it was a perfect pick. I love this color so much now. It went on smooth in 2 coats and the color is like no other purple I own. I then looked for a glitter and I had recently bought Jesse's Girl Confetti which has purple and blue bar string glitter.
