Pink Wednesday Tape Mani :)

I hope everyone had a great day yesterday! In honor of Pink Wednesday I pulled out an oldie but goodie,  Ulta Always a Bridesmaid. This polish is so pretty. It's pink with flashes of a lime green/gold, and the formula is awesome.

I started with a base of Sinful Black on Black

I know you can't see it here, but trust me there are also flashes of a bright green in there!

Then using 2 pieces of tape per nail, I taped off the black and added Always a Bridesmaid. Sorry for all the pics, but I couldn't just choose a few, lol.

Ulta Envy + L.A. Girls Rock Star Crowd Surfing

Many of you know that I LOVE franken polishes... And there are two people in particular that inspired me to open my own Etsy shop (hopefully by next weekend)! So I spent the weekend swatching my polishes and taking photos. While I was looking through my photos, I noticed this manicure that is THREE months old. I think it is about time to post it! I guess I never posted it because I didn't like it. But oh well, maybe you will like it.

This is two coats of Ulta Envy with one coat of L.A. Girls Rock Star Crowd Surfing. I want to say that it looks like I put a matte top coat on too, but I can't remember.

Lacquistry Shredded 24K and Shredded Aqua

Today, I have two lovely frankens made by the one and only Jenna from Lacquistry! Recently, she listed three new polishes that are very unique---shredded 24K, shredded silver holo, and aqua shredded (which aqua is now sold out). She also has shredded black available (you can see swatches of it here). 

The photos show two coats of Ulta Mint Condition (which is not color accurate in my photos. It is a tad bit more green than these photos show). I added one coat of Lacquistry Shredded 24K to every nail and one coat of Lacquistry Shredded Aqua to the ring finger.

OPI You Don't Know Jacques! Suede

I recently swapped for this polish! I love, love, love, love it! Thank you so much Carly!

This is two coats of OPI You Don't Know Jacques! Suede! After trying this one, I went straight to my wish list to add the others from that collection. They are my most wanted polishes right now! =)

Because I love it so much, you get two more photos...  =)

Then I stamped on a print from the XL stamping plate E with Ulta Gold Rush (which seems to be my "go-to" gold stamping polish). You can purchase these plates at You Mix Cosmetics. 

I am really excited to tell you about these interesting nail art pens my Mom got me for Christmas. I used them to add the extra detail to my flower! 

They are called Nailritz. I have never heard of them before, but she bought me two different sets, the shimmer set and the precious gem set. I personally love them!

Each set comes with 10 different colors. 

Plus she bought me some of the base/top coat ones, which might be perfect to add pigment to make my own special colors!

The really neat thing is that you can open them like this, and use them as a regular polish. 

Or you can use the fine tip point for your detailed work like I did with my flower. I love how fine it is, and in my opinion much easier to work with than a paint brush. But I do not have a steady hand. Plus I have no artistic ability when it comes to the free hand department!

Halloween Nail Design + Ultra Pro Glamrock +Sally Hansen Salon Effects Numbskull

This past weekend I went with my family to Freight Fest at Six Flags to celebrate my brother's 15th Birthday! For those of you who do not know, this is a theme park with roller coaster, rides, etc. Because it is October and close to Halloween, the park host Halloween themed events. So of course, I did a Halloween nail design. For my manicure, the tips are Ultra Pro Glamrock (at the end of this post I have full manicure swatch photos of this polish because it is AMAZING). Then I used Halloween That's It? Rub On Nail Art Decals I purchased from here.

Of course, I did my sister's nails too! She bought the Sally Hansen Salon Effects in Numbskull. So we put those on! These are awesome!

Here is Ultra Pro Glamrock on its own! So awesome! I didn't get any outside shots but it SPARKLES like crazy!

Essie Dive Bar + Haul + OPI DS Illuminate

WARNING! THIS IS A LENGTHY POST! =) I have a few things to show you today! 

First up is Essie Dive Bar. I LOVE this manicure because it has both the shiny and matte finishes all in one! This polish has an amazing blackened teal shimmer. I have to warn you my photos make the polish look almost black especially the matte finish photos, but this polish is not this dark! It has a gorgeous teal/bue shimmer to it that is NOT hard to notice in person! I bought this polish specifically for my sister. She saw it on another blog and had to have it. I was at Wal-Mart one day and noticed it, so I bought it for her! Before I sent it to her, of course, I swatched it. I wish my photos turned out better so you could see the true color of it! This is two coats.

I then added one coat of Essie Matte About You because I LOVE the look of dark matte polishes! Again, in these photos, the polish looks black. It does NOT look black in person. It has an amazing teal/blue shimmer to it. I did not get any outside photos for this manicure! =(

I used Essie Dive Bar (which is the SAME polish I used as the base coat) to stamp on the design with Konad Stamping Plate M65. I love this because it has the matte AND shiny finish all in one manicure.

Yesterday I was featured on Lacquered Lover , and this was the manicure! I only posted it here as well because I like to keep an archive of ALL my manicures on my blog (This way if I ever lose my computer (for whatever reason), I still have all my work). She was featured on my blog as well! Click here to see that post!

I only own a few of the OPI DS polishes, and this post features one of them, OPI DS Illuminate. Because Summer is over and Fall is here, I decided to show you a Fall inspired manicure. Here is two coats of OPI DS Illuminate. This is an amazing brown holographic/shimmery polish. It is perfect for the season! My photos do not do it justice as they were taken indoors. It is a shame the sun wasn't out! That is the down fall of doing manicures late at night! I was not about to risk a smudge or something....So I took my photos immediately! =)

And of course I could not have do a guest post with a plain polish..... So I used Kleancolor Metallic Brown and Bundle Monster stamping plate BM19 to stamp on a subtle leave print. I wanted this print to somewhat blend in so it would not take away from the awesomeness of this polish. I added some little fimo leaves for a little something extra as an accent nail.

P.S the fimo leaves stayed on my nail for THREE days without even budging!
