Quick Chrstmas Nails

Posted by Unknown on Wednesday, December 14, 2011

Through most of my 20's I was a bit of a humbug about the holiday season. Then every year around January 2nd or 3rd I'd realized I missed it all. So for the past several years I've made to invite my family over to decorate the tree, listen to some holiday music, & drink some hot chocolate. Much more fun!
Anyway, here's my second set of holiday nails for this year. I used an unknown Toma that I really love. It's a one coat wonder! Then I just added some red & green rhinestones for a bit of seasonal festiveness.

This is 3 coats of the lovely Take Me To Your Chateau. Nice formula with no clean up.

The next day I used some of the rhinestones given to me by Born Pretty to try out. No complaints! Nice colors & easy to use packaging.

Thanks for reading and thanks to Born Pretty!

Sally Hansen Gray By Gray & Some Rhinestones

Posted by Unknown on Sunday, November 7, 2010

Sally Hansen Gray By Gray isn't gray! I would call it a dark cadet blue creme. Lovely color. I normally like wide brushes but this one kept bunching & twisting, maybe because the formula was too thick.

This is only the second time I've played with rhinestones but I like the effect this time. I could just add a red stripe or two and this would be a fun 4th of July manicure for next year!

Quirius Starry Night & Some Rhinestones

Posted by Unknown on Tuesday, September 28, 2010

I have no idea why this is called Starry Night, as it's a dark purple creme! My camera hates purples & this polish is much less blue than the photos. It dries darker than the bottle color and has the same finish as Quirius Caribbean Turquoise without a topcoat. It's shown here with topcoat.
I've never used any sort of 3d nail art before and I obviously had no plan with this manicure! I just randomly threw these on. Not something I would do again but I learned how to place them properly the next time I want to use them.
