Color Club Pretty in Platinum + OPI Pirouette My Whistle

Posted by Unknown on Sunday, May 20, 2012

Hey readers!

I hope ya'll are having a great weekend. :)

I got OPI Pirouette My Whistle from the NYC Ballet collection a while ago and decided to finally wear it...although I wish I would have put it over a dark color because it looks pretty cool that way. So this ended up being a more subdued look. I layered PMW over Color Club Pretty in Platinum. I find myself using this color pretty often...it's a gorgeous grayed out white shimmer with perfect application. I really miss Color Club sets showing up at Ross!

I added a stamp with Sally Hansen Quick Color Chrome pen in silver. I think the overall look is very ethereal looking, but subtle.

I have to say I have been pretty uninspired in terms of nail art lately. I don't know what's going on...sometimes I have so many ideas I can't choose what to do next, but that hasn't been the case lately. Hoping to get my mojo back soon! :)

Sally Hansen Insta Dri Skittles + Stamping

Posted by Unknown on Tuesday, April 10, 2012

Hey there! I enjoyed perfect weather today while watching little Taylee run around the yard. It's so nice to be able to have a break and just enjoy life instead of be busy all the time! :)

Dustin got me these Insta Dri's for my birthday...he's a sucker for pretty colors like me, so I loved them. We collaborated on this mani to come up with the finished look. Colors left to right: Min Sprint, Lickety Slick Lime, Snappy Sorbet, Speedy Sunburst.

I love the look of tribal print with bright colors, so this was the perfect time to translate that to my nails! The design came from  You Mix plate C.

Have you done any tribal print manis yet?

Black & White 10 Day Challenge Day 4: Color on White

Posted by Unknown on Saturday, March 10, 2012

Hi lovely readers!

This is Day 4 of the Black and White Challenge! So far I am hanging in there! :)

The challenge task for today is color on a white base. This was easy because the possibilities are endless!  I chose some colors that I knew would show up on white that probably wouldn't normally show up on other colors as well. I like the subtle effect it gives.  I used Color Club Pretty in Platinum for the base, which isn't totally white but it still works! :P Plate is XL from You Mix and the colors used from pointer to pinky: China Glaze Life Preserver, China Glaze Peachy Keen, China Glaze Aquadelic, and OPI Fly.

It's kind of a funky combo of colors, but that's what I am all about these days!

Go see what the others participating in this challenge have come up with today:

Snowflake Nail Art

Posted by Unknown on Thursday, December 1, 2011

Hey polish lovers!

I just wanted to thank those of you that checked out our site and have given us some feedback (you can find the link in my shop tab)! If you notice that we don't ship to your country, just let me know and I will add it. :)

So my mani for today is another version of one included in my Dr.'s Remedy post. Each nail has a different snowflake! Of course, these all come from the stamping plates for sale in our shop. The base for this is Color Club Nothing but Truffle and the stamping polish is Orly Luxe.

Sorry for the crappy pic, but you get the idea. Thanks for reading, you guys are the best!

Dr.'s Remedy Jolly and Joy Holiday Collection + Holiday Nail Art

Posted by Unknown on Tuesday, November 29, 2011

Hi everyone! It's officially the holiday season. How exciting! Did any of you snag some good deals on Cyber Monday? I know I did!

I am showing you the Dr.'s Remedy Jolly and Joy collection today. All of these were opaque in 2 coats, and the colors are original, but still perfect for the season.

First up is SERENE Silver Glitter. This isn't just any silver glitter though, there is red and blue glitter throughout the formula as well! LOVE this one!

Next is RESOLUTION Red Glitter. This is definitely more of a pink overall, but there is red glitter in this polish as well.

This is REVIVE Ruby Red. This one is very similar to Sally Hansen Insta Dri Ruby Rush. Not the typical holiday red, but still gorgeous and glowing!

And now for the first of the holiday nail art! All designs come from the stamping plates available in the shop tab. How cute is this reindeer?!

This is PASSION Purple, a nice plum shade with some shimmer. I have nothing like this in my collection. So pretty!

And for stamping...snowflakes! Be prepared to see lots of snowflake manis from me because our stamping plates have TONS of different ones!

And finally, ESSENTIAL Emerald. This is another top pick for me because I love green nail polish and have nothing like this one either. This is sort of a jade green with shimmer.

And for the final nail art look, argyle! Reminds me of an elf. haha

What are your thoughts on this collection?

I really like it because the formula is great, and the colors are new and exciting for the holidays!

Dr.'s REMEDY Enriched Nail Polish is available for $17 online at www.remedynails.com

*Polish was sent for review in exchange for my honest opinions.

Vintage Roses Nail Art

Posted by Unknown on Monday, November 21, 2011

Hi again!

I think I will end up posting 3 times today...too much? I hope not! :)

I have seen different versions of this design all over the nail blogging world, and I wanted to give it a try.  This color combo is definitely one of my faves. All of these designs come from our new plates (you can check those out in the shop tab). The dots are filled in with a nail art pen.

Ring and thumb fingers: Orly Flirty stamped with Sally Hansen Fast-Dri Teal-y Fast.
All the rest:: Teal-y Fast as the base and Konad white for stamping.

I can't wait to use this color combo again!

Zoya Tamsen + Nail Art

Posted by Unknown on Sunday, November 20, 2011

Hey!

I feel like it's been forever since I have blogged! This weekend has been nonstop, but I am so looking forward to this Thanksgiving break to make up for that.

This mani is simple, but fun...maybe more appropriate for summertime though. The base is Zoya Tamsen and the design comes from one of our stamping plates we have for sale. Our first shipment should be arriving this week!

Hopefully life lets me keep posting regularly, since you lovely readers in the blogging world are the ones who keep me sane! haha

OPI You Don't Know Jacques Suede + Nail Art

Posted by Unknown on Wednesday, November 2, 2011

Hi readers! I am late posting today...I think life is getting busier everyday or something! Also, I found out I have tonsillitis today. Ugh.

But the reason you are all here is for nails!! Today I am showing OPI You Don't Know Jacques matte suede. This is 2 coats. I am a bigger fan of mattes with a little something to them rather than a creme matte.

The orange and yellow stripes in this design come from the elusive dual ended nail art pens that I keep promising a review of. They have sort of a metallic finish to them. This is also my first mani using a design off our new stamping plates (Don't forget order info is in my shop tab)! This design comes from plate D. Funky, but I like it!

The sad part about this mani is that it looks AMAZING with top coat and I didn't get a pic of it!! Dang busy life. You will just have to imagine it I guess. :)

*Nail Stamping Plates Ordering Info*

Posted by Unknown on Friday, October 28, 2011

Hi ladies! I know it was mean to tease you last night with so little info about these plates, but this post should make up for that! :)

First, I wanted to show you in more detail what's up for grabs. The end of this post will have ordering info. All of these plates have a blue rubber like backing on them to help protect them from bending. That's the blue you see in these pics, which are scanned photos of the actual plates. To my knowledge,  most all of the full nail designs are bigger than the original set of Bundle Monster plates full nail designs . So I think they should fit most everyone!

Ok so the next 11 photos are the XL plates. The dimensions including the blue backing is 6 1/4 x 8 3/4 inches.

More Adoree Nail Polish Swatches + Stamping Plates

Posted by Unknown on Wednesday, October 12, 2011

Hey everyone! I am finally squeezing a post in today. :)

Remember the last Adoree swatches I showed you? Well I have a few more for ya'll. Just as a refresher, these polishes come from Esther's Nail Center

So first up is Rich Chestnut, a deep terra cotta creme. Not my kind of color to wear on it's own, but I can see this being fun to layer glitters with. Plus, it definitely reminds me of fall! This is 2 coats.

This is Holy Green. I see more blue than green in this polish. It's a thin glitter that is 4 coats in the pic, but you can tell it needs another to be full coverage. This could be used for layering with just one coat. Since it's a glitter, I obviously like it. haha

Next up is Royal Crest. Love the name. This is a dark grape purple shimmer that covers in 3 coats. Believe it or not, I don't have anything exactly like this already!

And finally, my very favorite of the bunch, Flamingo Pink! Once again, love the name, and the fact that it's a glitter is even more amazing. This is 3 coats of pink and silver glitter mixed in a pink jelly base.

This next set of photos shows some of the images from Esther's Nail Center's stamping plate set. These images are from plates B03, B41, B47, B57, B72. The full set includes 19 plates for $15.95. Of the images stamped, none were duds and all stamped well. Good deal huh?

That's it for now! Thanks for reading!
