China Glaze Island Escape Collection

Posted by Unknown on Monday, July 18, 2011

Wow, where does time go? I looked at the calendar and we're at the second to last week of July. I swear it felt like July 1st last week. So first I want to apologize for the lack of updating. Fear not because I have a few posts scheduled this week. I have so many swatches to share but just didn't have the time to type up a post.

Today I have the China Glaze Island Escape collection to share with you guys. I was looking forward to this summer collection because I was extremely please with last years summer collection Poolside. I must admit, I was a little let down, but there were a few amazing colors. Take a look:

Senorita Bonita is a purple shimmer with pink flecks. 2 coats.

Electric Pineapple is a yellow green creme. 3 coats. I really liked this one because it's pretty bright and quite unique. I don't think I have any colors like this.

Cha Cha Cha is a golden apple green shimmer. 2 coats. This one is gorgeous! It's like glowing.

Blue Iguana is a medium blue shimmer with glass fleck. 2 coats. This is a gorgeous blue.

108 Degrees is a magenta glass fleck with a jelly finish. 2 coats

Papaya Punch is a bright medium orange creme. 2 coats. This one is definitely my favorite one out of the collection.

This collection didn't really excite me, I mean there are gorgeous glass flecks and two bright cremes. It happens that the cremes are my favorites.

The formula for these are flawless as usual. They were all under two coats except for electric pineapple. They dried in a normal amount of time. This collection is not bad but it just didn't wow me enough to be head over heels over it. Maybe I should've just purchased the cremes.

Well ok that's all I have for today, enjoy your Monday!
