Sation Cafe Con Leche is a glossy caramel creme with an great formula that's opaque in 2 coats.

 

The next night i did a quick accent nail using Zoya Gemma, Sation Heather, & N.Y.C. 233.

Nail Art Inspired By Little Green Hearts Blog

I've had this manicure by Little Green Heart saved in my inspiration bookmarks for ages & I finally made my own version. It's very quick & easy & I love the results! I used Sation Cappuccino for the base, American Apparel Hassid, Essie Little Brown Dress, & Sation Midtown Haze for the dots.

Sation Cappuccino

I have some more Sation beauties to show you over the next week or so & another Sation giveaway to announce soon too! Sation bottles are oval with thick glass bottoms. This is Sation Cappuccino. Another lovely polish that seems to be a cross between a jelly & cream finish. All of the Sations I've tried are super shiny & this one is no exception. The formula glides on with almost no cleanup necessary. I'm not sure this is quite the right nude shade for my pale winter skin, but I'm going to give it another go after I lose my deathly winter pallor. It makes a fantastic base for nail art & I've got a quick one to show you soon.

Sation Classical Note & Bump In Beige & Some Quick Nail Art

Sation recently updated their brand & bottles & I have a few of their new polishes to show you. The bottles are oval with thick glass bottoms. The new brushes are great for ladies like me that love wide brushes. The formula on all the ones I've tried is excellent. You can find out more about the brand on their Facebook page.

First we have Classical Note, a dusty berry with a finish somewhere between a creme & a jelly. Great formula & only needs 2 coats. A classic just as the name suggests!

Next is Bump In Beige, a new favorite color that I've already worn twice. It's a beautiful shade of beige with just a hint of rose in the same creme/jelly finish as Classical Note. Often colors like this are hard to work with but Bump In Beige has a dreamy formula.

 

The next day I tried a little nail art with the fan brush that came with nail art brush set. I'm not entirely pleased with the results but it was easy & very fast.

Zoya Cho & Farah: A Nail Art Comparison!

Zoya Cho & Farah are from the newly released True collection. I'll have the rest of the collection up over the next week or so. I can tell you that I love the whole collection just as much as I did Zoya's Intimate collection from spring last year! As many other bloggers have pointed out, Zoya really nails their color descriptions so I'll be using them in my posts.

First up we have Zoya Cho an "opaque yellow-toned light soft peachy beige with a hint of ultra fine silver shimmer. A light, creamy nude especially nice for skin tones with olive or yellow undertones."
I added a few drops of thinner to aid in application and had no problems after that. I think it's gorgeous! I've got lots of pictures in full sun & in the shade.

Next we have Zoya Farah "an opaque light khaki-beige with subtle sandy, greenish undertones and a cream finish." I love this one too! The application was typical of a pastel creme and didn't self level very well, but a few drops of thinner & topcoat evened things out nicely.

 

 

I know many people will want to see how these two compare. I did some simple but lovely nail art so my readers can really see them side by side. This was so pretty in person!! I used Cho for the base & Farah for the tips.

Tuff Scent Gaurdian Angel & A Milani Gems Gradient

 

I won my first Tuff Scent polish from Holly of shimmerspark & I can't wait to get more of them. Thanks Holly!

 

Lots to say about this polish! First, the bottle and cap are lovely. The rose is made of metal and rather weighty which made the brush easier to use than expected. I was worried about not having much to hold onto since the cap is so short. 

 

Next, Tuff Scent polishes are scented as the name implies. This one is a very soft candied floral smell that is very pleasing. It lingers on your nails for at least three days. If I didn't like the scent this could be a problem, but I quite liked this one.
Application was good for a pastel polish & this is 3 coats.

 

The next day I added a gradient of Milani Gems. I love how nicely this one turned out so I've got lots of pictures!

Barielle Buddha-ful

I took tons of pictures of the gorgeous Barielle Buddha-ful from their Karma Collection. I've never used Barielle polishes before & they graciously sent me a few to try out. Buddha-ful is completely unique, something that can't be said very often these days! Its a soft beige jelly loaded with flakies that flash from aquamarine foil to pale pink. I like it so much that I've already worn it twice!

 

 

I used 3 fairly thick coats. I recommend waiting for each coat to dry a bit before applying the next one. The formula applies very nicely but flakies are by nature a bit thick to keep the flakes properly suspended and that just requires a little drying time. Buddha-ful is is definitely worth a couple of extra minutes for this pretty polish.

I love polishes like this that could be mistaken for a nice but plain work sfae polish. Then you get up close and magic! I can't wait to try this as a layering polish. I bet it will be fabulous over hot pink or maybe royal blue.

China Glaze Stellar

This is 3 coats of the beautiful China Glaze Stellar. I think this just moved into my top 5 polishes. It's a lovely beige or khaki with tons of silver micro glitter. You can click on the pictures to see the finish up close. Nice formula too!

Sally Hansen Myst You

Here are a ton of pictures of Sally Hansen Myst You taken in lots of different lighting settings. Such a strange polish! Myst You has an incredibly nice formula and this is 3 coats. It's a beige with a pink sheen only visible at certain angles. I had a hard time capturing the pink. Will says, "Ew. Fleshy.". I think this would look lovely on dark skintones but not on me. Blech! This one is going into my "to be frankened" bag.
