Good afternoon darlings!
Today I have a really fun tape technique to show you. Instead of using tape to create relief patterns, you use the tape to make your own nail stickers!
I saw this cool mani on
The Beauty Department, which is a really fun site that I am guilty of stalking.
Can you spot the tape? Haha! The trick is to paint some tape, let it dry, and cut it into shapes to put onto your nails. It helps you create super even and straight lines, which is a good thing for me because I am awful with a striper brush.
I broke up the intensity of the plaid with a solid accent nail, which I think looks pretty cute!
I took a whole bunch of pictures of this mani because I was really proud of it!
It can be kind of difficult to cut the tape into small pieces so take your time, and then once on the nail, use cuticle nippers to clip the edges. I also used a file to smooth the edge of my nail a little, to stop the tape from hitching.
The polishes I used are:
Urban Decay - Superfreak (gold)
Urban Decay - Woodstock (pink)
OPI - Fly (teal)
Essence - You Belong To Me (light blue/green)
The base color is a light gray franken I made.
What do you guys think of this fun way to use tape? I think I'll definitely be trying it again!

Hi guys!
It's been forever since I last blogged. My husband and I are all moved out and we drove 14 hours and are spending time with family for a week. Then it's a 2 day drive and we are at our new home! So that explains my absence, and why I will probably have a few less posts than normal.
I have another polish from
Nailventurous Lacquers to show you today. This one is called Pulverized. I wore this for my birthday...I thought it was fitting! There is so much going on with this polish that at first I wasn't sure about it, but it really grew on me after a bit. I layered 1 coat over Revlon Girly. Everything places well with the exception of the big glitters that needed a little more work. But it all came together nicely, and even became totally smooth with topcoat!
This polish is total eye candy! Even now, I can't stop looking at the pictures and that never happens! Once again, another great polish from Amy!!

Hi guys! This weekend is pretty much over and it went by too fast! Dustin and I spent lots of time put toward You Mix since that's when he time off school/internship. He can't graduate fast enough!
This post is the second installment for the 10 day black and white challenge. You can see day 1 *

Today's challenge is white on black. When I first committed to doing this, I thought I would be wearing a lot of the same black and white polishes, but I have more than I thought! haha This is another polish from
Amy's Nailventurous Nail Lacquers called Forever Taylor. This is an assortment of black and holo. glitters. This is one coat over a black creme. The formula was really nice on this and coverage was really good too, especially for a glitter! I only used the black creme underneath to help with removal later.
My pics aren't the best...all the answering email and getting orders ready to ship took it's toll!
And for the white aspect, this a design from the original set of Bundle Monster plates and one that I keep coming back to although it's not the most exciting thing in the world. :P

Happy Saturday!
It's pretty rare that I ever post an Essie. I think I only own 3. haha Essie is just usually a little boring for me. But this color, Smooth Sailing is an exception! I love the shade of periwinkle and the flecks of shimmer.
I have been loving all of the reverse glitter gradients that have been posted lately...so we gave that a try with Nailventurous Nail Lacquers Blue Fix. I love this glitter! It's a super fine bright blue with a greenish holo effect.

Amy (of Nailventurous Nail Lacquers) is opening up an Etsy shop soon? Definitely keep an eye out for that so you don't miss out on her fabulous creations!

Hi guys! I have been meaning to post this for a while now, but things got busy...so this feels like a long time coming!
As I am sure you are all aware, indie polish (etsy/frankens etc...) is having a huge moment right now. It's pretty amazing because there are some sweet polishes out there! So this is one of those and it comes from an Etsy shop called
Pretty and Polished. This is called Party on my Yacht. This polish consists of purple, green, yellow and pink glitters as well as tiny blue bar glitters in a milky white base. I bought the mini version of this but I should have gotten the full size!
For a little something extra, I added OPI Dutch Ya Just Love OPI? to the tips.
Have you guys been loving the indie polish craze or are you not so into it?

I'm Feeling Nail-Ventuous has recently created some amazing frankens. I was lucky enough to be able to buy two from her. She is not currently selling them, but keep an eye on her blog and you'll stay updated if that changes. ;)
Floam is fantastic because it contains contains specks of ultra fine neon blue and neon yellow glitter in a clear base. It completely covers in just 2 coats! It's a dense glitter for sure! And yes, it's named after this
Floam.
It is so interesting and changes colors depending on how far away you are. Up close the colors are very distinct. From a distance? It looks like a bright green or teal. It's really mind blowing.
I got lots of comments on it at work. All positive! It's a hit!
Next is A Dash of Princess. I love this combination of glitters! There are large hexes in white, opal, metallic pink, and an almost see through hot pink. There are medium hexes in white, and metallic hot pink. Then there are fine micro hot pink glitter pieces. It's all in a clear base, so the layering options are endless!
I wanted to stay with the pink theme and I layered 2 coats over Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Bubblegum Pink. The picture looks like there are medium black hexes, but those are the metallic pink ones that just catch the light funny.
On a swatch stick so you can see how it looks by itself. I saw a really interesting combo when Amy layered this over a medium blue. The almost see through pink pieces turned purple! So I'll try that out soon!
And she packaged them so cute! The came in a bubble mailer wrapped in this metallic tissue paper with a piece of ribbon and a cute felt owl sticker. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to purchase these beauties and I can't wait to see what else you have up your sleeve! ;)

TGIF!
I am getting my hair colored today and I'm kinda nervous because it's gonna be different, but hopefully good different!
So today I am showing you a polish that Dustin got me for Valentine's Day. This is Orly Oh Cabana Boy. This is an almost neon pink with a soft blue-ish shimmer. Very pretty! Below is 3 coats.

I'm Feeling Nail-venturous! This is a clear base full of white glitters in different sizes, purple, pink, and super fine purple glitter! So girly, I love it!

Hi readers!
I hope you are all doing well! Today's first polish is Sinful Colors Cinderella. This has been getting quite the buzz in the polish world lately. Probably because it's an affordable brand and a really pretty polish! Cinderella is a sheer baby blue with a pink sparkle. Think of this as the blue version of NOPI Kim-pletely in love, but with a better formula. Below is 3 coats.
I topped this off with a franken made by Amy from
I'm Feeling Nail-venturous. She has an awesome blog, and amazing talent, so definitely check her out!
So this franken's name is Southern Belle. So cute. It's blue, silver, and silver holo glitter as well as some irregular shape glitters in blue and silver. I think this fits in so well with the Cinderella theme...it definitely reminds me of her pretty dress and glass slippers. :)

This is a franken I made up recently. I was inspired to make something similar to Lippmann's Glitter in the Air & Candy Shop. The way the sheer polish melds with glitter. I love the pink polish of Essie Luxeffects A Cut Above, and I recently found a Forever 21 dupe. So for $2.80 a franken was born. Lol. I also had a large silver glitter polish from LA Colors that I've lost the name of (why don't they just pick a sticker on the bottle like the rest of the world?) I mixed 1/4 of each of these glitters and added Orly Pink Slip, which is a sheer pink french manicure polish.
This is 3 coats. I would like the larger glitters to show up more. I have enough room left in the bottle, so I'll tweak it a bit by adding more glitter.
What do you think? I really like it!
A sheer pink with large pink and silver glitters and a scattering of fine silver and pink glitter.
Now it just needs a name. Any suggestions?
