Sugar Stripes

Today’s nail art is brought to you by…my feet. Yep – I simply copied the very simple diagonal stripe pattern that I did on my toes a couple weeks ago to my nails. Easy, and I think it looks like stripes of sugar. Felicity is a nice, light polish for summer, though I’m not sure about the color with my tanned fingers. It will definitely be lovely next spring though, against my normally ghost-colored winter skin!

What I used:

1 coat Zoya Anchor base coat
3 coats Zoya Felicity
Clear glitter Stripe Rite polish
2 coats Zoya Armor top coat

Next week, some lovely pastels from Zoya…gotta wear them before fall gets here!

Flowers on the nails

Inspired by the flower that drow to Oksana, did those nails for myself. May sounds silly, but i really for years didnt know how to drow the flowers like this, even thouth i knew the "wet manicure" method. And i am not a big fan of wet nails, because it is messy, and hard to apply on my smoll nails. But this flowers openings and new horisonts for wet technics now for me, and i allready ahve an idea that i will try preaty soon.

It was not easy to make this girl trust me that even dark colors may look very beautiful on the nails, especially with nice design. I met a lot of girls who prefere only light and neutral colors, especialy most of them like perl polishes. But as i know from my own expirience, perl colors are not the best for drowing something on it, so for the basic color i mostly try to use matt colors

Aquarium nails

Here is the video of making the aquarium nails. Some people believe that this is too much and that no one would want to make those nails on the real hand. Well, to tell you the truth i dream about find the way to make those nails or at least nails like those at home for myself, and on the natural nails. I really like the idea of having a moving objects inside the nails. The bad thing is that i have nether seen nail-tips like this - with the space inside.

OK here i am starting!
In this blog i am planing to post a pictures of nail design. I have been making design on my nail for years but unfortunately have only few pictures from the past, and i will definitely post it as soon as i get it on this computer. All the nail art i make myself, and if any of you have any question about how to make it i ll be happy to explain or even provide a step by step tips.
I make nails for myself every week, so i hope that will upgrade this blog pretty often.

Red, White and Blue

It’s been a busy start to the week – too busy to post yesterday, in fact! But since Nail Art Tuesdays seem to be the “most read” days on this blog, I had to make a little time to get this posted.

I ordered some star-shaped rhinestones awhile ago, but they haven’t arrived yet (I’ll have to check on them). Bummer! So no stars for my blue tips this week (thought the Kotori is quite glittery). I still think they turned out pretty patriotic though.

What I used:

2 coats Zoya Anchor base coat
1 coat China Glaze “Red Pearl”
White Stripe Rite polish for stripes
2 coats Zoya “Kotori” blue for tips
2 coats Zoya Armor top coat

I made the tips thick on purpose, to give them some added dimension, and also to protect them. Several of my nails are still growing out from the unfortunate mulch incident a few weeks back, and the breaks have mostly grown out to where I could cut them off, but now they’re prone to snagging as the last remnants grow out. Every time I snag them on something, it breaks again and the cycle continues, so hopefully with thick polish on the tips, they’ll be protected and looking much better next week!
