I love this color! I found it very easy to apply, this is 2 coats and no topcoat. We have been using nail polish as rewards for accomplishing goals while starting our business and this was a surprise present from Ashley for making it to the next round of the Tulsa Entrepreneurial Spirit Award competition. Thanks Ashley! The first 2 pictures are indoors and the rest were shot outside.

OPI Shorts Story
Posted by Unknown
Hey! Good morning! This is just a quick post because I am supposed to be leaving in a few mintues and I didn't want to leave you deprived for a few days n_n
This is OPI's Shorts Story. My sister absolutley hates the name as it really makes no sense. Well of course you have 'short stories' and then this pink comes from a jeans/shorts collection... But really they make no connection.
Just two coats here. Extremely pigmented, could almost get away with one.
Have a good weekend!
Also... I chose Purple With A Purpose to wear to the 70's party tonight... Violet Fire is a little more painful to use lol.

BB Couture Electric Avenue
Posted by Unknown on Thursday, July 30, 2009
We did a order from Overall Beauty and now have our first BB Couture's!
I ordered Electric Avenue. I fell in love with it when I saw it on The Polish Addict's blog. I couldn't get it out of my head, but I wasn't quite sure what to expect since I knew a lot of people were having application issues. But I'm so glad I bought it. It's now one of my favorite colors!
It is a gorgeous pale light blue color. I didn't find it hard to apply, but it did take 5 coats to build bottle color.
April will post her pictures of her BB Couture Polish very soon! Hint it's a green creme, which are my favorites. I will definitely be trying it soon!

Matte American Manicure / Future Swatches
Posted by Unknown
So I've been dealing with an American manicure for the past 4 weeks. Just one more week to go and I will be able to do all these crazy swatching. I received more goodies in the mail. I've decide to try matte on the American manicure. I have yet to see one, and I'm curious as to how it will look like. And I must say.. it looks.... interesting?
I've use the same polishes I used last time; Essie Mademoiselle as base, Essie Marshmellow for tips, and Essie Pink Glove Service as top coat. This is the neatest manicure I have ever done.
And here it is in matte. It looks kind of "ghostly" if you understand what I'm saying. But it's quite unique in a way. I don't know..what do you guys think?
And of course, here are MORE pictures of future swatches. I know you're as excited as I am!
OPI Matte collection
Nubar Modern Matte Collection
Nubar Moon Shadow, Pasadena Purple, and Pink Flame
My first purchases for Milani nail polishes.
Purple Passion, Totally Cool, Pink Out Loud, Breezy
My first purchases for Lippmann Collection;10th anniversary set, and Call Me Irresponsible (could this be the one purple creme I've been looking for?!)
And alas, my favorite purchases of all:
Essie Ruby Slippers and Viva La Vespa
As much as I don't want to admit, I bought these off eBay. Once I saw it, I gotta have it. I didn't have to pay a lot extra for these. They were at a decent price (Ruby Slippers was $15, and Viva La Vespa was $13). I mean I spent $23 on designer nail polishes that I will probably never wear again, so why not spend a tad extra on polishes I REALLY want and know I will wear again, agree?
Now, I will complete my goal if I can get my hands Essie Starry Starry Night. I really hope Essie will re-release it again, but I highly doubt it.
Well that is all readers, thank you for your patience on my other swatches. I still haven't received my other purchases yet so I can't take pics to show you the exciting new colors. Until next time. <3

CheezCake Nails
Posted by Unknown on Wednesday, July 29, 2009
I really, really, really wanted to make those nails look like a CheeseCake, but you see how it came up. Only now, looking at those pictures i understand what was my fundamental mistake - i think i made too many marbles. Anyway ,at least a big finger looks the way it supposed to :)
May be i ll remake this mani one day. I used to be good at making marbles, but i guess i just forgot, last 20 marbles i made were a total mess. May be i need more practice .

More fun With Zoya Pinta

Here is another design that i made using Zoya Pinta. This color is so lovely. For stamping i used Essy "Punchi Pink", and the gold tip is made using Zoya "Penny" from Truth Collection.

OPI Shootout At The O.K. Coral
Posted by Unknown on Tuesday, July 28, 2009
This was another one that OPI re-released for their Colorcopia collection, Shootout At The OK Coral.
Coral really is a stunning shade... just not on me. Mum has worn it about 100 times already, it just looks so bright and vibrant against her skin tone. It appears much more subtle on me.
I used just two coats here.
The formula was impeccable, nothing to complain about :D

Bright & Jester-y
Posted by Unknown
I'm just fickle this summer for some reason. I was going to do green this week, but ended up doing "bright". No worries though - I think these turned out just fine.
I used Avon's "Fuchsia" for the base pink color - two coats, though one would have sufficed as far as coverage goes. Then I used my Nubar gold nail art pen to create a lattice on each nail, and fill in random diamonds just for some variety. I like it, though I think the fill color of the diamonds should have been different than the lattice lines. This would be a great manicure for Mardi Gras in green, purple & gold.
This week, I'm placing another Zoya order. They have a new color out in their fall collection called "Copper Penny" that I am just dying to get!
What's on your fall nail "must haves" list?

Sally Girl - Peabody
Posted by Unknown
This is a very pretty color, but I didn't really like it with my skin tone. You can pick them up for about $1 at Sally Beauty Supply. That is my dog Wally Thor. He makes me happy everyday! Ashley used this color to do her first french manicure. I think it turned out pretty sweet.
