Today I have a manicure to show you that is inspired by the book trilogy, Hunger Games. I think the first movie has just come out or is about to come out. I'm all booked to go and see it a day before my birthday!
For this gradient I used two lovely Misa's called Under My Sunbrella and Endless Keys. These guys were released last year in Misa's summer collection Paradise Shore.
To create this manicure I started with a coat of yellow followed by orange just dabbed on the tips. The formula of these two polishes made it very easy to blend.
These polishes are quite sheer though. This is a huge benefit when doing manicures like this though! I kept adding layers in the order of yellow/orange/yellow/orange. Only painting the yellow half way down the nail though and slowly bringing the orange up on each coat.
This is how I envisioned Katniss's nails and dress to look when she entered the Hunger Games.
Can't wait for the movie! :D

For this manicure I used two coats of Blue Tiger (I forgot how awesomely pigmented this one is) followed by two coats of NFUOh 053. They're like a match made in heaven!
These next few weeks I'm going to be focusing on my NFUOh polishes and trying different combos with them. They always wear so well, I don't like removing them before I have to. Flakies tend to stick to your nail.
These angles seemed to be the only way to show accurate colourings in this crappy weather today. It's really nice to see variations of green, blue, orange, gold and purple through out the day.

Today we have Jessica's Shopping on Rodeo. This was picked up by my mum at the beauty expo. I haven't really seen Jessica around really. The guys running the business didn't seem to keen on keeping Jessica going. It's a shame because the polishes are really pretty and have a great formula.
Rodeo could be a one coater. It so could be. I only did two because I couldn't get my shaping right on the first go. The formula is something else. It is to die for. Amazing coverage, so smooth and easy to maneuver.
I did a manicure for mum not too long ago and she let me choose the colour, I chose Shopping on Rodeo. I don't think I have ever done a manicure that quick before. It was amazing!
Rodeo freaked out my camera a little bit. It is a bright fuchsia pink with an even brighter frost, along with scattered silver glitter. I didn't think the sparkles were going to work but they are a nice little surprise. Rodeo glows, radiates, illuminates... under any light source too.
Mum has two more Jessicas for me to review, so keep an eye out :)

Blue Tiger is one bold blue! It is much bluer in real life, my camera just couldn't capture it's awesomeness.
I haven't really bought Australis polishes before but they are pretty cheap, usually around $8 from most places that sell make-up. I'm really impressed with the coverage of them! They could be one coaters if you were careful enough. I used two coats here and applied the Color Club Vivid Color Intensifying top coat to really make the colour burst!
It also dries semi-matte so you definitely want a top coat on this (why wouldn't you be wearing one anyway?!) but it also helps make the blue even more vivid. It's just great. I love this colour.
I am wearing it for my exhibition night with OPI Silver Shatter over the top. What a great combonation. Piet Mondrian was one of my influences in the exhibition so it seemed only right to wear a rich primary blue.

Once again, our faithful cameras let us down again. Vinyl record is much more teal than what is shown here.
You can get this for $7 at Dress Smart in Onehunga. I haven't really seen the L.A. girls colours anywhere else.
The formula was quite consistent with the other shades I tried from this range. Quite a nice thickness to it, very smooth and excellent coverage. It can apply thickly quickly though, so be careful with these ones.

I recently discovered these polishes at the wonderful Dress Smart in Onehunga. They were pretty cheap too, only $7! They have OPI polishes too but only a lot of sparkly poo coloured ones. Hmm I wonder why no one buys those shades...
Any who, this little beauty is called Can U Dig It? I don't really care much for the name, but I adore the colour! (Still pining over that OPI Shrek colour!). I wore it on my toes first and wore it for weeks. I couldn't get enough of it!
You only need two coats of Can U Dig It? The formula is quite good, a nice thickness and opacity to it. Quite fast drying too as I put it on my toes again the other day, then got distracted and forgot to apply top coat. It dried just fine, maybe not as shiny, but pretty well.
I think the colour of Can U Dig It is a little more vivid than what my photos show.
It also says it glows in black light, I haven't tested that but it sure would be cool to see!

Woo 3 posts already! I'm so excited about tomorrow! n_n I can't wait!
Audrina, why I put wearing you off for so long, I don't know... You never let me down.
This is two coats of the lovely Audrina. Although you have to be a little careful with her, she's not fully opaque so if you don't apply it evenly or as thick on every nail, you will have some nails slightly pink and others more purple. That is the only issue with Audrina, can simply be fixed with thick coats or a 3 thinner coat :D
You guys just wait until you see what my awesome parents are getting for my birthday, I'm already trying to plan out how to organize everything >_<>

Two coats of coral hotness!
I am wearing this as a pedi also. That'll probably stay on for a month haha
I really love this polish and couldn't bring myself to get rid of it, Little Red Wagon on the other hand... I think Cajun Shrimp is really the only red/coral/orange that I've ever *really* wanted to wear again. It made no sense to see it go :)
The pinky shows the most accurate colour of Cajun Shrimp, the camera fails to pick this up a lot. But it sort of shifts between the two coral shades shown.
