Nicole by OPI Four New Textures

Today I have four new Texture polishes from Nicole by OPI to share with you guys. Textures are just like shatter polishes from OPI. When I saw the promo pictures for these I was really excited to see the glitter textures, as I am very curious in how the glitter crackle polishes will work. Well they didn't work much to my favor. Let's have a look.


Amethyst Texture is a purple glitter shatter. I did this over white hoping the purple glitters will show more, but it seems to me that the glitter are not dense enough, so the shatters look a bit sloppy.


Aquamarine Texture is a aqua blue glitter shatter. I did this over black since Amethyst Texture didn't look that great over white. The shatter is extremely hard to see. Once again I wish the glitters were more dense.


Quartz Texture is a metallic lilac shatter. I did it over black, and apparently my pointer and ring finger didn't shatter as much as the ring and the pinky. I think it was because I didn't wait for the polish to dry first.


Opal Texture is an iridescent opal shatter. I did it over black, and the opal turns out to be purple. Seems fun to play around with. But once again it doesn't look dense enough. At this point I was a little frustrated with the texture polishes so I also didn't wait long enough for the base polish to dry.

I did swatches on a nail wheel and they actually looked better on the nail wheel than it did on my own nails. Especially Opal Texture

I wasn't pleased with this collection. In the bottle they look amazing, but on the nail not really. Glitter shatters seems hard to master since glitters are not dense. Maybe these need to be extremely thick for the glitters to look good. I even tried doing two coats of each but it didn't even shatter, and just covered the entire nail. The only one I did like was Opal Texture. It will probably look good over white, and a dark purple polish.

Nicole by OPI Wel-Kim to My World Collection

Hey everyone! I know it's been a long time since I've posted. But for those who liked my FaceBook page knows that I broke my nail really bad and wasn't able to swatch for a bit. Well it grew out a little enough to do some watches, but it's still a little ugly looking so I hope you guys don't mind!

So today I have Nicole by OPI's Wel-Kim to My World Collection to share. It's part of the Kardashian Kolors. This collection consists of six new colors; one of them is a glitter. Let's have a look.


Others Pale by Kim-parison is a very pale pink creme. 3 coats


Kim Konfidential is a peachy nude creme. 3 coats. This color nude didn't really suit my skin tone.


Nothing Kim-pares to Blue is a periwinkle blue with hints of silver shimmer. 3 coats


Up & Kim-ing Pink is a bubble gum pink creme. 2 coats. Very similar to OPI's Pink Friday from the Nicki Minaj collection.


Here Kim's the Sun over black. It's a mixture of gold, blue, green glitters in a clear base.


Lights, Kim-era Action! is a pearl finish with green and pink flashes. Super gorgeous. 3 coats. I will be playing around with this one a lot, layering it over other colors to see the outcome!

The color for this collection were interesting. The only one not in my favor was Kim Konfidential, but that's only because that nude didn't suit my skin tone. Other than that I enjoyed all the other colors. Lights, Kim-era Action! happens to my favorite. I just love the flash of green in it. Here Kim's the Sun is also a nice glitter to layer over with.

The formula were good. They weren't thick or thin, and applied very smoothly. The only one I had trouble with was Others Pale by Kim-Parison. It didn't apply evenly, but after the third coat it was pretty smooth. Overall, I am satisfied with this collection. These are available at various retailers including CVS, Ulta, and Sears for $7.99 per bottle.

Nicole by OPI Kardashian Kolors Collection Swatches & Review

Happy Monday! Today I have Nicole by OPI Kardashian Kolors Collection to share. This collection consists of 14 polishes with a mix of glitters, shimmers, and cremes!


Rainbow in the S-Kylie is a rainbow mix of big hex glitters and small glitters in a clear base. This was 3 coats. It's pretty much a dupe to Rainbow Connection.


Disco Dolls is a gold glitter mixed with multicolored glitters. 3 coats. Very interesting, I like!


Kendall on the Katwalk is a blue silver glitter with a sheer blue base. 2 coats


Wear Something Spar-Kylie is a pink and silver glitter with a sheer jelly like pink base. 3 coats.


Follow Me on Glitter is a charcoal silver glitter mixed with multicolored glitters. 3 coats. The multicolor glitters are not as visible here as Disco Dolls.


It's All About the Glame is a pearly white creme with hints of silver shimmer. 3 coats. I like this one because it looks pretty elegant.


Kim-pletely in Love is a baby pink creme with hints of white-ish silver shimmer. 3 coats


Listen to Your Momager is a royal blue shimmer. 2 coats


Kourt is Red-y for a Pedi is a orange red creme. 2 coats.


Sealed with a Kris is a dark brick red creme. 2 coats.


Hard Kourt Fashionita is a dark brown creme. 2 coats.


My Empire..My Rules is a light tan brown gray creme. 2 coats


All Kendall-ed Up is a bright barbie pink creme. 2 coats


Khloe Had a Little Lam-Lam is a dark teal creme. 2 coats.

The formula for these were great, they all applied smoothly and even with no complaints. The cremes were pretty opaque with just two coats. The glitters weren't hard to work with. As for the colors, there are some hits and misses. Some are easily dupeable and some are just plain boring. But I did have a few favorites, such as Khloe Had a Little Lam-Lam, Disco Dolls, and It's All About the Glam. Overall, the collection is not bad. The only thing I didn't like were the names, no offense, but they were a bit...corny. But sometimes, it's mostly the color that counts! :D

Some New Sally Hansens

Good morning! Today is all about Sally Hansen. I got these about a month or two ago but never got to try them. I got four from the Complete Salon Manicure, and one from Hard As Nails. Let's have a look!





Camelia is a sheer pink jelly. 4 coats. As you can see it is quite sheer, being that I applied four coats and there's still visible nail lines.





Barracuda is a pastel baby blue creme. 2 coats. Funny story about this one. I looked all over for this one but every drug store I went to seems to ran out of it. My friend went on vacation to Florida, and went into a Walgreens for some products and she found it for me. So this bottle came all the way from Florida to New York!





Strike a Pose is a sheer pearl iridescent shimmer with flashes of blue. 3 coats. I didn't get to experiment with this one yet, but I have a feeling it will look gorgeous for layering.





Eel Skin is a light gray creme. 2 coats





Ice Queen over Eel Skin. Ice Queen is a clear base with silver glitter and blue and pink hex glitters. I did one coat over Eel Skin. Maybe it would've looked better over a silver base instead of gray.



The formulas for these were flawless. I didn't have any issues with them at all. They applied evenly and smoothly with no streaks at all. Even though we have seen plenty of pastel baby blue cremes around, I actually really like Barracuda. It stands out.

OPI Nice Stems Summer 2011 Swatches and Review

Wow, today is the last day of June. Where did June go?

Today I have OPI's Nice Stems Collection for Summer 2011 to share with you guys. This collection consists of four gorgeous pinks in a variety of finishes.



I Lily Love You is a sheer jelly pink with holographic glitters and flakes. This was three coats.


Play the Peonies is a soft shimmery pale pink with iridescent finish. 2 coats. It has sort of a pearly finish. A very interesting color and finish actually. It was a little bit streaky but after the 2nd coat everything evened out.


I Lily Love You over Play the Peonies. I love how the color just changes because of I Lily Love You.


Come to Poppy is a vibrant coral pink shimmer. 2 coats. It was actually opaque in one coat. But you know me ^_^

Be A Dahlia Won't You? is a bright fuchsia shimmer with plenty of gold specks. 2 coats.

Overall, this collection is very cute and very girly. I loved all the pinks and they are actually wearable for me. They're great for summer. I love how I Lily Love You adds sparkle to the others. As you all know, I love all things glitter. The formula for these are excellent. They were fully opaque and only needed two coats for full coverage. My favorite happens to be Play the Peonies because it's such an interesting color and interesting finish. Don't have any similar polishes like that. Which ones do you like?

Essie French Affair for Spring 2011

Yes I know it's Summer and I'm still doing reviews on Spring collections. It's been a super busy week for me. Work is tiring and stressful as usual. Still daydreaming about the day I will quit that shit hole. But anyways, today I have Essie's French Affair for Spring 2011 collection to show you. Before I show the swatches, I want to say I loved this whole collection. All the colors matches Spring really well (but always wearable in Summer =P)


Sand Tropez is a dark beige nude creme. 2 coats


Coat Azure is a soft dusty blue with subtle silver shimmer. 2 coats. This one looked amazing.


Nice is Nice is a pastel lavender creme. 2 coats. I think this is the best lavender creme ever. First, it wasn't streaky and had full coverage under 2 coats. And second is a unique lavender creme. Not the plain boring ones but the color in this one is very vivid.


French Affair is a pink creme with a bit of lavender in it. 2 coats. I also loved this pink because it's different from other pink cremes.


Topless & Barefoot is a light beige nude creme. 3 coats. This was the only one I had problem with. For some reason it was a bit thick. Maybe it's just my bottle. 2 coats was good for coverage, but it was uneven so I had to add another coat just to even it out. I still like the color though!


Kisses & Bises is a sheer ivory pearl with flashes of pink. 4 coats. I think this was meant for more of a top coat over other colors. However, I was lazy to do it over any of them =x I'm sure it will look amazing over other colors.

The formula for these were pretty good. They were fully opaque and needed only 2 coats. I've always loved Essie products, but hate having to spend $8 each for them. I want to say they're worth it but I don't know. I've been a fan of Essie polishes since I was little. Essie was one of the first nail polish brand I bought and own. I wish I remember the name of it but I can't haha

Three Maybelline Spring Swatches

Today I have the new Spring Maybelline polishes to share. I found these while browsing around Walgreens and thought they would look gorgeous. I was a little disappointed after swatching them because they're not that amazing in my opinion.. Have a look:


Sunlight is a golden yellow pearl shimmer. This was 3 coats. I think it was the only one I liked of the rest.


Lilac Luster is a lilac pearl shimmer. 3 coats. Nice and elegant but doesn't float my boat.


Blue Brilliance is a blue pearl shimmer with flashes of pink. 3 coats. This looked gorgeous on the display and in the bottle but on the nails it just didn't "pop" like I thought it would.

Overall this collection was eh to me. I only chose these three basically because these three caught my eyes, I don't really know what else is in the collection, don't quite remember it. It was a little struggle to apply them as well, I don't know if it's because of the brush or just the formula. Sunlight was a bit streaky, as you can still see some visible brush strokes.

Illamasqua Spam

Greetings all! I finally finished swatching most of my untried Illamasqua brand polishes. And since I haven't updated for awhile, what else is better than an Illamasqua spam post?



Jo'mina is a bright lilac creme. It's a little similar to Color Club's Puccilicious but I feel that Jo'mina is lighter than Puccilicious.


Jo'mina over Prism. Prism came with the collection with Jo'mina and Force. I love how prism gives it a blue iridescent glow


Force is a bright royal blue creme 2 coats


Prism over Force again it gives this glowy look that I like


Hectic is a deep olive green creme. 2 coats


Phallic is a blackened blue with blue flecks of shimmer. 2 coats


Smash is a semi-neon green creme. It's not neon enough to have that neon glow but it sure is bright enough. 2 coats


Jan is a muted gray pink creme. 2 coats


Velocity is a gray rosey mauve. A little hard to describe this color.. 2 coats


Elope is your true mean green creme. 2 coats

I've always loved Illamasqua nail polishes, that's why I bought so many even though they retail for $14 a bottle. Some cost me more because I bought them from illamasqua.com which costs me international shipping. What I love most is how heavily pigmented these polishes are. They were pretty opaque in one coat, but I did all two coats for even coverage.
