Fashion Designer Toni Maticevski debuted a smash collection during Rosemount Australian Fashion Week (RAFW) in Sydney last week and Zoya Nail Polish was pleased to help bring his amazing fashion vision to fruition as it had during past fashion weeks in New York (NYFW).
Zoya Manicurists polished fingertips and toes to perfection with an array of pink nail polish (Zoya Nail Polish in Jolene, Sweet and Flora) and peach nail polish (Zoya Nail Polish in Zanna and Piper) to create what the shows Creative Director, Dhav Naidu, called the Ombre Pink Nail.

Inspired by nature and flowers specifically, Maticevski used feathers and silk presented in intricate layers and shapes on a fresh palette of soft sherbert colors, blacks and whites all in modern ultra feminine cuts. Stunning - Bravo Toni!

Designer Toni Maticevski isn't big on providing the media with his source of inspiration. He prefers the viewer to think about what they see rather than telling them what "to see". It is this interpretation that allows the beauty of Maticevski to be that of the beholder. Exaggerated doll-like layers and Toni's tradmark subtle ornamentation took this viewer straight to Hollywood with a visions of starlets making the scene.
Nails complimented the clothes, hair and makeup and worked double duty as accessories. Led by the creative Dhav Naidu, Manicurist Sunshine Outing and team treated each nail as a unique canvas using Zoya Nail Polish in Casey for the warmer skin toned models and Zoya Nail Polish in Sloane for the cool chickies. Zoya Richelle and Nova UltraGlitter went on ring fingers as accent color with Zoya Armor topcoat delivering the glossy finish.

• Toni Maticevski (February 15, 2009) For the second season in a row Zoya Nail Polish was proud to sponsor the Toni Maticevski line. New York’s Altman Building housed the Aussies’ sixth trip to fashion week where the couture designer’s take on fall 2009 was all about fashion fantasy blends... Inspired by the Baroque masters, the mixed fabric textures and unexpected detail combinations (including sequins, metallics, sheers and custom beadwork) along with a unique layered nail polish look gave the show an ethereal feeling. The show’s creative director, Dhav Naidu had manicurist Skyy Hadley and her As You Wish Spa team layer Zoya’s Collette over Yasmeen to create the sexy, murky nail color effect.
• Tory Burch (February 18, 2009) Targeted at women of all ages with an eye for the wearable “street looks” of today the Tory Burch show delivered and featured a nude Zoya nail! At the designers request, manicurist Jackie Saulsberry and her assistants kept the nails classy, natural and ultra shiny. First all hands and feet were prepped with Qtica Smart Spa Anti-Bacterial Spray (the Germinator) followed by the Zoya Color Lock System (Remove +, Anchor Base Coat, Armor Top Coat and Hurry Up Speed Dry Drops) for a super clean, glossy nail look which complimented the fashions perfectly.
• Leanne Marshall (February 19, 2009) Cheered on by many of previous competitors and fans TV's Project Runway alum (and winner!), Leanne Marshall presented her first solo fashion collection for NYFW and “carried on” with her signature layering in this unique and lovely showing. The nail look featured was golden (Zoya Nail Polish in Richelle) - selected to by Leanne Marshall and manicurist Jackie Saulsberry to enhance the charcoals, bronzes and vivid purples that dominated the collection.
