The liveliest season of all has arrived, leaving behind the dark and mysterious shades of winter. Nail polishes for Spring are no more than a reflection of the season - soft and delicate shades, of fresh flowers or tender buds, which make for a very fashionable manicure. Keep these tips in mind when buying nail polish for the spring season.
Lilac - Lilac, or light purple, is a color that is extremely spring-like. It is easy to wear and gives an unexpected twist to your look; especially if it has a creamy finish or slight shimmer. To avoid ordinary-looking hands, try using these colors on short nails and let dry completely before continuing with your routine, as imperfections are more evident in lavender tones. Glitters are great for night. Recommendations: Zoya Nail Polish in Malia (Shown in the image).

Great pics and comparisons of the Zoya Twist Collection, as always, from Michelle at All Lacquered Up. Thanks Michelle! "Let's start with my obvious fave - Harley. Harley is a warm mid-tone gray shimmer. The light bronze ribbons of shimmer keep this one from being too cool for the olive skinned girls to pull off. If you haven't tried gray yet, this is one you'll definitely fall for."
"Cassi is a salmon pink shimmer. A nice warm pink for conservative girls and pink fans alike. Two coats gave nice, even coverage."
"Barbie looks exactly as the name implies, Malibu Barbie pink. It totally reminds me of the pink Barbie convertible I had as a child. Vibrant and cool-toned, there is a subtle hint of shimmer in the bottle but on the nail it's barely apparent."
"Jo is the other big winner in Twist. A total jackpot of a blue. I'd dare to call it cornflower but the subtle way it leans towards purple keeps me from doing so. Whatever you call it, it's unique, stunning and totally unlike any polish I own. Like Gabriel Byrne said to Winona Ryder (as Jo) at the end of Little Women, "such a little name for such a person," Zoya's Jo is such a color."

Zoya Twist - An Awesome Nail Polish Collection for Spring 2009!
The first Blogger Review is in and it's a winner.SCRANGIE
"Overall, this is a strong collection. Three feminine colors for the traditionalists and three unique colors for the hardcore nail people like us. I am quite pleased at that trade-off. Normally spring collections are very blah for me, but this one is different. I can foresee Harley being a big favorite with everyone. I'm already wearing Jo and I can't stop looking at my fingers. The formula on these is top notch. All of them were the perfect texture and didn't even hint at giving me a problem. They were all smooth and perfect without having that gooey, drippy three-free texture. No issues in the formula department."Zoya Nail Polish in Harley:
"This color is awesome! It's a light shimmering concrete grey with just a hint of coppery sparkle."
Zoya Nail Polish in Jo:
"Dreamy overcast blue. It really says spring to me"
Zoya Nail Polish in Malia:
"Love at first sight...Very springy- reminds me of Easter eggs! It's also not a bright purple shade- it's muted. Cloudy purple."
Zoya Nail Polish in Barbie:
"This pink says, "Yeah, I like girly pink, you got a problem with that?""
Zoya Nail Polish in Cassi:
"This would make a really cute pedicure. Cassi has that pretty Zoya shimmer that I love- it's like tiny little crystal flakes!"
Zoya Nail Polish in Moxie:
"It's a rich crushed-berry creme... this is a beautiful color!"
