This manicure drew a small crowd when I went shopping the other day. I must say it's one of my recent favorites even though it's bit messy since I did it in a hurry. I just really love this color combination! I started with Sation Overdressed Party, then added the heart parts in Sation Violet Flare, finished with an outline of Sinful Secret Admirer. Sation polishes will be available for purchase soon. You can check out their facebook page for updates.
Today I have the typical french manicure for you but with added flare. I was happy with the way it turned out and curious to know what you think of this mani....(P.S. Sorry for the red cuticles... some red/fuchsia polishes can be staining/hard to remove.. Right Brandy?!)
Step 1: Using OPI Metro Chic, I painted on messy tips. I did not use stickers to define my tips. Once you put on the glitter polish, it hides the "unevenness". So save your time with the stickers. I did two coats on the tips. I have also included a photo with this color on my entire nail. This is a very soft purple/grey color.
Step 3: Place a generous amount of OPI It's Bouquet with Me on the tip of your nail (see photo to the right). Then smear the "ball" to cover your entire tip. You can add a second coat if you want. I did not in my final photos.
ALU recreated a look used at the Joy Cioci presentation at NYFW! Zoya Nail Polish along with Haven Spa created a custom nail look called the "French Twist". The Haven for Zoya Nail Polish team polished the models nails with Zoya Caitlin then tipped the nail with Zoya Dove to create this fantastic look! ALU took it a step further and alternated the base color for a fun spring look! According to ALU Zoya Caitlin and Dove "Together they’re kind of a mani/pedi dream team." We completely agree! Be sure to check out the rest of her post here!
I know many of you hate this polish & understandably so, but I couldn't resist buying it when I found it at the Dollar Tree. I gave it to Ashley, since my nails are a slightly stained. Blue Water is pictured on her nails with 2 coats. It's so sheer! You're thinking "Aaghhh! Why would anyone want such a polish?" But wait! I know Blue Water is pretty scary by itself, but Ashley transformed it into one of my new favorite manicures! She added french tips in Icing My Blue Heaven and now I think it's gorgeous! Such a lovely effect! So if you picked up the Water polishes, don't despair! Great job Ashley!

Don't forget to enter my giveaway. Win a $55 GC to Medusa's Threads! (I know it's hard to remember if you've entered a giveaway sometimes, but don't worry! I never delete all entries when I find multiples. I just delete the newest one and assume it was a mistake.)
I love these pictures! Ashley did this manicure last year sometime to match one of her favorite necklaces. She used Ruby Kisses Caribbean, OPI Greenwich Village, & OPI Need Sunglasses. Thanks for reading! April
This is 3 coats of Revlon Gum Drop. I love this one! It's a drop dead gorgeous lilac jelly. It has a sweet, but not overpowering scent while applying. Later, my nails smelled faintly of cotton candy. The next day I added Sinful Colors Mint Apple on my tips. Unexpectedly, this ended being a new favorite manicure. So nice when things are pleasantly surprising. Don't forget to check out my store. Great deals on name brand clothing and more!
This is 3 coats of Wet n Wild Shield. It's a gorgeous taupey foil with silver and copper bits too. The formula is nice but the brush is super stubby with a big round lid. I got used too it though. Ashley loves this one so much that she bought a back up! I used Zoya Kristi for the french manicure. I love the color combination but it would have looked much better if all of my nails were the same shape!
Zoya Kym is a lovely rusty red with glass-flecked, gold shimmer. This is 2 easily applied coats. Not my favorite with my skintone but a great color for fall nonetheless.
Next up we have Zoya Stacy. I think this one is gorgeous! This is 2 coats. I tried a french manicure with Zoya Cheryl.
Zoya Kristi is my new favorite red! Flawless, 2 coat application. Perfect red creme, neither to cool or too warm, just perfect! I used Zoya Kelly and my smARTnails stickers too for this manicure.
Here are my overall thoughts on both of Zoya's fall collections, Wicked & Wonderful.

If you have watched the trailer for season 2 of the Real Housewives of New Jersey it is obvious that there is going to be a ton of DRAMA this season, but what the Fairies here at Zoya are excited about is the nails! So far it looks like the ladies of Jersey are into dark polishes and french manicures.
The new season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey starts tonight at 10 pm EST on Bravo and from now on we won't be caught fist pumping without a nice dark nail or a pretty french manicure!
I've never posted NINE pictures of any polish before, but this one deserves it! Toma Mood Changing Purple Mist to Grey Mist is one of the most unique colors I've ever seen! I have no idea how to describe it so I'll just let you look at the pretty pictures. Gorgeous! I did a french manicure using China Glaze LOL. I didn't end up liking the color combination as much as I thought I would though . I would buy this in a heartbeat if I could find it anywhere!!! What do you think ladies, should we petition Mad Beauty, who took over Toma, to bring this color back?
I love this color and I'm in the minority who love the wide Insta-Dri brushes. But I almost threw this bottle across the room in frustration! I don't even know how to describe what the formula was doing. It was kind of like trying to spread Elmer's glue in really thin layers with a paint brush. I used a super thick coat of Insta-Dri Clear and everything mostly evened out. I tried adding thinner and it helped some, but not enough for me to pick this one up again any time soon. I haven't heard about anyone else having problems with this color and I love the other Insta-Dri's that I've tried so maybe I was just having a bad polish day. Do you ladies have any recommendations for a fabulous lime green? I don't want a neon, just a nice bright lime creme. I used the brush option of one of my Migi Nail Art pens for the french manicure. Nowhere close to perfect, but not bad without guides.
