OPI New York City Ballet SoftShades Collection 2012

Posted by Unknown on Wednesday, March 28, 2012

Today I have OPI's New York City Ballet collection to share with you guys. This collection was made for their Soft Shades colors. It consists of 5 sheers, and one glitter. I thought these were gonna be some boring sheer shades, but I was completely wrong. They are sheer indeed, but they are definitely not boring. They have a jelly finish! Jellies!

Don't Touch My Tutu! is a sheer white. 3 coats

You Callin' Me a Lyre? is a sheer pink. 3 coats

Barre My Soul is a sheer beige. 3 coats

Care To Danse? is a sheer lilac. 3 coats

My Pointe Exactly is a sheer gray. This was 3 coats, could've used another coat!

Aside from the gorgeous 5 sheer shades, this collection also came with a very, very pretty silver glitter with sheer white hex glitter. And over the sheer polishes it just looks so elegant and sweet I would say. Something about it makes me love it very much. Have a look:

Since these were sheer, they weren't too hard to apply. But that's also because the formula was pretty good. All of them were done in three coats, and still visible nail line. If you have the patience, maybe it will be opaque in four or five coats. What surprised me about this collection is that they turned out to be jellies. And I absolutely LOVE jellies. So you can tell that I am very pleased with this collection. My favorite is the glitter, it's just so sparkly and gorgeous, it's subtle and not POW! in your face type of glitter. I can see me wearing these for work! I also love My Pointe Exactly, because it's a sheer grey jelly! It looks so unique and I don't think I have anything similar in my collection.

Well that's all I have for today, what do you guys think of this collection?
