Essie Sexy Divide

Posted by Unknown on Wednesday, July 21, 2010

Sexy Divide is a sexy colour indeed.

It goes straight to my Top 20. It applies as beautiful as it looks. This is three coats here. Although it goes on really smooth, it leaves little patches so three coats was necessary to cover them all up.

I will be wearing Sexy Divide a lot this summer, might even need a back up!

Sexy Divide is a deep purple base with magenta, purple and blue shimmer. A real surprise from Essie! Who knew the queen of sheers actually knew this kind of polish existed?

I thought it was pretty funny that on one of Essie's collections that the tag line was "Never be afraid of colour" XD

OPI Play 'Till Midnight

Posted by Unknown on Thursday, January 28, 2010

This was the other amazing navy my partner bought me for one Christmas, Play 'Till Midnight.

Play Till Midnight came out in the 'Holiday in Toyland' collection for Christmas 2008. Far out that went past quickly.

Now Play Till Midnight doesn't look as amazing inside as it does outside. It looks like a dulled/greyed navy indoors or with no sunlight. But outside in the sun really brings out that blue and purple shimmer.

Truly amazing. So amazing that every female in my family has a bottle!

I remember I went through a phase where every time I wore white - this was my manicure.

Play Till Midnight's formula is perfection, wouldn't change anything about it. Wearing two coats here.

Zoya Colbie

Woah this one has been waiting to be posted for a looooong time.

So this is Zoya's Colbie. Blair is on the thumb to compare :D

I am guessing that these are two coaters... and if I remember correctly they did apply nicely :)

Zoya Mieko

Posted by Unknown on Saturday, February 7, 2009

Ah Mieko, the reason I got you, was because you had a Japanese name and reminded me of Japan in general... The first time I took photo's of your hotness was not that great... But look at you now! :D

This is three coats of my little Mieko. A very sweet pink with pretty gold shimmer. I wonder how close China Glaze's new Strawberry Fields will be?

Application, as always, was perfect. A fantastic colour for summer!

Zoya Kalista

Posted by Unknown on Friday, January 16, 2009

I was meant to show you this little munchkin awhile ago, but the photos were pretty shoddy so I didn't post them. But today a had an urge to wear Kalista and the sun was out, so why not :D

This is only two coats of Kalista, that's all you need. It is beautifully pigmented. Kalista was from Zoya's Flourish collection released end of last year.

I love love love the shimmer in it, I could stare at it all day :D Do you know what Kalista reminds me of? Double choc chip cookie mixture.... Mmmm... I almost feel like licking my nails lol!

The last photo is when it was overcast.

OPI Play 'Til Midnight

I got this as a present from my dear boyfriend. Does he have great taste or what?! He can go polish shopping for me anytime he likes :D

This is three coats as I messed up the second. Well it's more like the heat messed it up... But it turned out extremely well!

Play Til Midnight is from OPI's Holiday in Toyland, you should get this shortly before it goes out of stock and becomes HTF. I may need to get a back up.

PTM is Ink's cousin. PTM didn't get the purple and chunky shimmer genes but it did get a lovely navy blue base with purple, pink and aqua shimmer.

These photos make me want to wear it again... but so many un-trieds.... :( I hate/love having so many polishes to choose from!

ZOYA Cyma

Posted by Unknown on Sunday, December 14, 2008

Another beautiful Christmas red! Cyma.

This is two coats, applies wonderfully. Cyma was very surprising at how it didn't stain my nails. Usually all reds tend to hang around for a few manicures after, but Cyma just came off in one go. Who doesn't love reds that do that? :D

I love how Cyma has magenta shimmer throughout out, it makes the red seem to be brighter and warmer. Cyma is also from Zoya's Flourish collection. A very festive red from Zoya.

When a collection has been fully swatched, I will re-post it into one convenient post for you :)
