So my mom is awesome. She's where I got my inner artist from. She's always been supportive of every art endeavor I've done and simply overflowing with positive comments to help boost my ego. As my mother that's her job, and she's great at it.
She is always trying something new in arts and crafts, but she's more focused on instant gratification than getting it just right. She admits to it! Right now she's started painting on small ceramic tiles that can be used for any number of things. When I saw a set of four that she had done, I asked her to make some for me that had nail polish or makeup on them for use in my polish room. She finished them the other day and I thought I'd show them to all of you.
She even used paints that had a metallic finish so that it really looks like nail polish! Some even have glitter! It turned out just like I thought and they're super cute leaning against the wall on top of my work table. (If you didn't notice, my mom is one of those stuck in the "box" that thinks women should only wear red or pink nail polish! The light purple was a big suprise to me.) She just sprayed them with a clear sealant, so to rest a cottonball with acetone or even regular remover would ruin it. I'm happy to just leave them as pretties to look at.
