I'm so flattered to have been contacted by the developers of MySmurfsVillage.com. They liked my previous smurf nail art and asked me to come up with a few characters and houses in a video tutorial and incorporate breast cancer awareness. The recently posted the video as well as links to my other smurf designs on their website. You must check it out!
I'm at a loss for words as to how cool it was to participate in this.
My first video slideshow tutorial as seen on their website:
Hooray for my first ever video nail art tutorial. If you can call it that. After my Fall Stripes manicure, I received several questions/comments about how I did them. So this is my response to that! My problem with nail art video tutorials is that I have no idea where to start as far as editing goes. Is there a program that you could recommend? Since I'm clueless about that stuff now, I just have to film it all straight and just show you the entire thing. Rather than film this horridly long video and then later be able to cut out the boring bits. So short and sweet it is! I'm open to any tips you may have to help me along in this process. :)
Wally (my cat) was trying to rub his face on the light I was using and then he was trying to lie down on top of where I was working. That's the explanation behind the chaos at the end. ;)
Oh, and sorry it's sideways! I didn't catch that until it was over and done with. I thought I had been filming in landscape, but nope!
I wanted to do this "accent tag" that I saw YouTube. I know it has nothing to do with nail polish, but y'all have all had a good laugh at my other videos and commented on my accent. So I did this just for you! And of course it was all going good until the last bit when you get a glimpse at how craptastic my day was going. You'll be hapy to know that yes, things were better once I finally got to sleep. :)
Here is the list of words & questions if you choose to do this same tag:
Questions are: What's it called to throw paper on a house? What's the bug called that when you touch it, it rolls into a ball? What do you call a bubbly carbonated drink? What do you call gym shoes? What do you say when you address a group? What is the spider with an oval shaped body and extremely long legs? What do you call your grandparents? What is the wheeled contraption that you carry groceries in at the supermarket? What is it called when it is raining while the sun is shining? What is the thing called that changes the TV channel?
If you do this too please comment below with a link! I'd love to laugh at how you say things funny!
Zoya is the new color of fashion! The Zoya Nail Polish fashion and marketing creative teams were on set yesterday - working with many great talents including makeup artists, manicurists and crew. It was a great day!
We can't wait to tell you (show you) more about it.
Haha, all of the shadows moving across my lighting at the end?
That's Wally standing directly in the way! Lol
In this video my nails are my Summer Lemons post here.
This is the post from Asami where I got my idea for the way to keep ear buds untangled.
My Ginger Kitty necklace that I point out at the end can be seen here.
I know many of you have requested video tutorials of my nail art. I would love to get into doing that, but I'm still trying to figure out the best way to go about that. I am terribly slow and methodical, almost OCD, about my art. So any video I would make at this point would be 30 minutes long! Lol. So I'm trying to figure out how I could position myself to allow you the best view....Also how I could film it and then play in fast forward perhaps? I'm still in the planning mode, but this is just to update those of you who have asked. :)
Can it be true!? Absolutely! Thanks be to Forever21!
The link to "Disco Nights" by Love & Beauty found at Forever 21.
Can be purchased for $2.80, and they do have international shipping! ;)
These are larger holographic glitter particles than the Milani 3D collection. I realized now that I forgot to show that comparison. Not by much, but yes this is larger.
You can buy Inaz - Glam Rock Glitter through their facebook page, found here.
(I couldn't figure it out and just contacted Amber by email when I ordered)
Now if you'll excuse me, I have some cartoons to work on....
OMG I WON MARIA'S LADY GAGA CONTEST!!!! I'm so happy! Thanks to all that voted! : *
Hehe
So in trying to get this with my camera, I realize I'm a dork and definitely not an actress! I flubbed it up a hundred times before I finally got it all in without the camera cutting me off. For some reason (surely something I'm doing wrong) it would only allow me 30 second increments at a time. So here it is for your viewing pleasure. :) Cross your fingers with me in the hopes that it will work correctly!
Just an quick overview of my acrylic paints with an answer for Beauty Addict.
Isn't it so weird when you hear the sound of your own voice? You never end up sounding like you think you do! Just like recording your voicemail intro message over and over because you think "OMG, do I really talk like that?!" Lol
Hi guys, I have my last Milani 3D for you today. This one is called HD.
HD is a silver holo, not quite linear but almost there. The glitter in this one is more fine than it's green and blue counterparts.

More pictures and a video of it in action after the jump!
This polish applied pretty easy, no dragging or bald spots. It took 4 coats for full opacity though.
The holo isn't that strong, but you can definitely see it. Here are some sunlight shots:
Now for the glittery holographic video!
I really like this polish. I also like how I got it on sale for just $2.99. It removes super easily too.
While swatching this, I realized I have a polish really similar to it. That I paid 14.99+tax for. OPI DS Coronation.
Index and middle fingers: Coronation. Ring and pinky: HD. All four coats.
Pretty much identical.
HD is a bit more holo than Coronation. And Coronation was way harder to clean up/remove. This bummed me out really bad. What a waste of money! So I went to Chatters and they let me exchange it! That's why I now have DS Extravagance.
I hope the one I recently bought from Color Club on eBay (Worth The Risque) isn't too similar. That would bum me out again! Forever searching for a true silver holo.
Well, that's the end of my Milani 3D's! Maybe one day I'll have the other three to show you if someone swaps with me or if I find them on ebay.
Okay, today I have some insane holographic goodness for you. This is my first true linear holo and holy crap is it crazy.
Milani Hi-Tech!
I wasn't expecting this to be so holo and blingy! The bottle is deceiving. Look!

Light lime green chunky linear holo. Now I'm going to spam some pictures of all the holographic goodness. I also took a short video of it in the sun! Keep reading!
This was three coats, which all applied really easily.I had no trouble with bald spots or dragging.
Cuticle clean up wasn't as easy as the Tronica polishes due to the bigger glitter pieces, but was still very easy. And removal was a total breeze.
I'm so in love with this polish and I don't even really like light green.
I got this for 49 cents. 49 CENTS!
I wish I could find the others 3 from the 3D collection that I'm missing! (The pink, purple, and gold.)
The first pictures I took of this (the ones with the bottle) were just under artifical light, and I thought THAT was holo. And then when I got some sun on Tuesday I knew I had to re-swatch this in the sun.
The next sunny day we have, I will be wearing this to show it off!
Now for the video! This is the first time I've done this. I made a youtube for the blog in case I do any further videos. The video really shows the holographic, sparkly greatness.
I hope you enjoyed my pictures and video!
I'll show you guys the blue and silver from this collection in the coming days.
