Illasmasqua The Art of Darkness Nail Varnish Collection 2010

Posted by Unknown on Tuesday, December 28, 2010

Today I have Illasmaqua's The Art of Darkness Nail Varnish Collection. I had problems whether or not I should get both but I decided to when they were available at sephora.com

This collection consists of two shimmer polishes.

Scarab - is a dark cherry red shimmer. 2 coats. I love how it looks black around the edges

Viridian - a teal green semi-metallic shimmer. 2 coats. This was a little disappointing

My favorite happens to be Scarab. I love it. As always Illamasqua polishes are excellent in every way. I was disappointed at Viridian because I saw swatches where it looks more green with a high shimmer. But when I applied it, it looks so dull. Oh well.

That's all I have for today!

Essie Winter Collection 2010

Posted by Unknown on Saturday, December 11, 2010

Greetings! Today I have for you the new Essie Winter Collection which consists of six colors for the Winter.

I don't know about anyone else, but I hate winter lol simply because I cannot stand the cold. I wish it was summer already. One thing I like about winter are the colors that are coming out with the nail polishes collection. During summer it was all bright and pastels, and winter it is all dark.

All pictures were taken under artificial light. It is hard for me to take pictures in sunlight now because there's barely any sun out :(

Going Incognito - a dark teal green creme

Smokin' Hot - is a gray purple creme. I don't know how to describe this color because it's a mix of purple and gray and brown

Hot Coco - is a medium brown creme. This was taken under natural light

Silken Cord - a bright red creme

Masquerade Belle - a vampy maroon creme. A little jelly finish.

Luxedo - a blackened plum purple creme. Looks almost black but with great lights, the plum shows

Application was of course flawless. No problems or issues whatsoever. That's what I love about Essie nail polishes. All were under two coats, it was pretty opaque and highly pigmented.

Did any of you pick up this collection? What's your favorites? My only favorites were Going Incognito and Smokin' Hot. Those two were the only colors that seem unique and different to me.

And that's all I have for today :)

Nicole by OPI Holiday Magic Collection

Posted by Unknown on Friday, November 19, 2010

I have the Nicole by OPI Holiday Magic Collection for the 2010 holiday to show you today! The collection consists of four colors, two shimmers, and two glitters.

I know that Thanksgiving Day is not even here yet, but I'm really in the holiday spirit. Christmas is my favorite holiday of all times.

Bring On the Tinsel is a clear base with silver glitter as its main glitter and green, red, blue glitters mixed with it. Very pretty and very sparkly. And I love things that sparkle :)

Spark My Mistletoe is a clear base with red glitter and octagon shaped like glitters

Stuck In The Chimney is a chutney red shimmer with a very teeny tiny slight hint of gold

Index and Ring: Bring on the Tinsel over Stuck In a Chimney
Middle and Pinky: Spark My Mistletoe over Stuck In A Chimney

Kiss Me at Midnight is a dark cherry wood red shimmer

Index and Ring: Bring on the Tinsel over Kiss me at midnight
Middle and Pinky: Spark my mistletoe over kiss me at midnight

Spark My Mistletoe really brings out the red shimmer in Kiss Me At Midnight. Gorgeous!

My favorites are Kiss Me At Midnight and Bring On the Tinsel!

The formula for these were excellent. Had no problems with them at all. The two shimmers took only two coats to be fully opaque. As for the glitters, it took 3 coats. Application applied smoothly, no streaks no fuss.

Which ones do you like? Will you be getting these?

(These were sent to me for review)

OPI Go Goth Mini Halloween Collection & Giveaway Winner!

Posted by Unknown on Wednesday, October 20, 2010

Ok I've made you guys waited long enough. I meant to write this post sooner, but I was totally distracted by the Yankees games, and then I went to eat dinner and shower. So now that everything is out of my way, I am here to announce my 600th follower ManGlaze giveaway. I used random.org this time just so I can announce my winner faster and ship out the prize faster :)

There were a total of 321 entries including all those extra entries for blogging or tweeting or both. I input everything into excel, and the winner that will be getting three full size bottles of ManGlaze nail polish is:

JACKIE S. of CANDY COATED TIPS

YAY! Congratulations Jackie! Please e-mail me your address so I can ship out these goodies to you ASAP! I will also be e-mailing you in a few minutes after this entry :)

Thank you for all those who have entered, who blogged about this giveaway, and tweeted. It means a lot to me! *smooches*

So today I also have for you the OPI Go Goth Mini collection for Halloween. It consists of 4 mini's and a free lacy cuff bracelet.

Obscure is a black matte. I seem to have a little problem with this one. It's the smoothest I got it (three tries) I think it's because I'm not use to the tiny brush

Sanguine is a deep dark red shimmer. Looks a bit bloody too which I like xD

Unripened is a black base with turquoise glitter flecks

Nevermore is a blackened purple shimmer. Of course my picture looks blue, what else is new? Haha

I think I'm done with minis. Sure they are cute and adorable in their tiny bottles, but I can't seem to get use to the tiny brush -_- that's my issue. I still have the Color Club Enchanted Holiday minis. But I won't be going on those until Christmas is near so I don't have to worry about that.

Well that is all I have for today. Hope everyone enjoy :)

Once again thank you everyone, and congrats to Jackie S!

OPI Spam (and major picture fail)

Posted by Unknown on Tuesday, March 2, 2010

Hey guys! A few months back I ordered a bunch of 'old' OPI nail polishes that I didn't have. I wasn't as satisfied with them as I thought I would be. And before you even begin looking at these pictures. I failed terribly at trying to capture the colors. I couldn't sleep last night so I stayed up doing swatches and taking pictures of it with my lamp light.

So here we go:

Yoga-ta Get This Blue! - a navy blue shimmer

Who Are You Wearing? - a dark blackened purple shimmer

Suzi Skis in the Pyrenees - an uber dark teal creme I'd say.

You Otta Wear Purple - a sheer plum purple shimmer. Four coats.

Midnight in Moscow - shimmery vampy red. It appears almost black with red shimmers.

Live From NY...it's OPI - bronze shimmer. I only got this for the name, being that I'm from NY :)

Here Today...Aragon Tomorrow - blackened green creme.

Eiffel for this Color - blackened purple shimmer. Yes another one. Terrible picture. Sorry.

Black Cherry Chutney - this I would say a reddish dark shimmer.

At Your Quebec & Call - dark olive green. My favorite of the bunch. Actually the only one I like lol

Sorry if my color descriptions seems dull. I'm just totally not feeling most of these colors. And when I'm not feeling them I can't describe them. I don't know if anyone else have the same problem >_>

But now that I got rid of majority of these OPIs, I can finally start working on other untried nail polishes that are more newer (and better hopefully).

So that is all I have for today!
